18יְהוָ֗היְהוָהיהוהYah·weh‘ The LORD אֶ֤רֶךְאֶרֶךְארך’e·reḵis slow אַפַּ֙יִם֙אַפַּיִםאפים’ap·pa·yimto anger וְרַב־וְרַב־ורבwə·raḇ-and abounding חֶ֔סֶדחֶסֶדחסדḥe·seḏin loving devotion , נֹשֵׂ֥אנֹשֵׂאנשאnō·śêforgiving עָוֺ֖ןעָוֺןעון‘ā·wōniniquity וָפָ֑שַׁעוָפָשַׁעופשעwā·p̄ā·ša‘and transgression . וְנַקֵּה֙וְנַקֵּהונקהwə·naq·qêhleave the guilty unpunished ; לֹ֣אלֹאלאlōYet He will by no means יְנַקֶּ֔היְנַקֶּהינקהyə·naq·qeh. . . פֹּקֵ֞דפֹּקֵדפקדpō·qêḏHe will visit עֲוֺ֤ןעֲוֺןעון‘ă·wōnthe iniquity אָבוֹת֙אָבוֹתאבות’ā·ḇō·wṯof the fathers עַל־עַל־על‘al-upon בָּנִ֔יםבָּנִיםבניםbā·nîmtheir children עַל־עַל־על‘al-to שִׁלֵּשִׁ֖יםשִׁלֵּשִׁיםשלשיםšil·lê·šîmthe third וְעַל־וְעַל־ועלwə·‘al-. . . רִבֵּעִֽים׃רִבֵּעִֽים׃רבעיםrib·bê·‘îmand fourth [generation] . ’
