2κατὰkataof every μίανmianOn the first [day] σάββατονsabbaton[the] Sabbath ἕκαστοςhekastoseach ὑμῶνhymōnof you παρ’par’aside ἑαυτῷheautō. . . τιθέτωtithetōshould set θησαυρίζωνthēsaurizōnsaving it up ὅτιhotithat ἂνan. . . εὐοδῶταιeuodōtaiof his income , ἵναhinaso that μὴno ὅτανhotanwhen ἔλθωelthōI come τότεtote- λογεῖαι*logeiaicollections γίνωνταιginōntaiwill be needed .
3ὅτανhotanvvv δὲdeThen , παραγένωμαιparagenōmaion my arrival , οὓςhous. . . ἐὰνeanvvv δοκιμάσητεdokimasēteyou recommend δι’di’with ἐπιστολῶνepistolōnletters τούτουςtoutousthose πέμψωpempsōI will send ἀπενεγκεῖνapenenkeinto carry τὴνtēn- χάρινcharingift ὑμῶνhymōnyour εἰςeisto ἸερουσαλήμIerousalēmJerusalem .
4ἐὰνeanif δὲdeAnd ἄξιονaxionadvisable ēit is τοῦtoufor κἀμὲkameme πορεύεσθαιporeuesthaito go {also} , σὺνsynwith ἐμοὶemoime . πορεύσονταιporeusontaithey can travel
5ἘλεύσομαιEleusomaiI will come δὲdehowever , πρὸςprosto ὑμᾶςhymasyou ; ὅτανhotanAfter ΜακεδονίανMakedonianMacedonia , διέλθωdielthōI go through ΜακεδονίανMakedonianMacedonia , γὰρgarfor διέρχομαιdierchomaiI will be going through
6πρὸςprosto ὑμᾶςhymasyou ; δὲdehowever , τυχὸνtychonPerhaps παραμενῶ*paramenōI will stay ēor καὶkaieven παραχειμάσωparacheimasōspend the winter , ἵναhinaso that ὑμεῖςhymeisyou μεmeme {on my journey} , προπέμψητεpropempsētecan help οὗhouwherever ἐὰνeanvvv πορεύωμαιporeuōmaiI go .
7οὐouvvv θέλωthelōI do not want γὰρgarFor ὑμᾶςhymasyou ἄρτιartinow ἐνen[only] in παρόδῳparodōpassing ; ἰδεῖνideinto see ἐλπίζωelpizōI hope δὲdeBut χρόνονchronontime τινὰtinasome ἐπιμεῖναιepimeinaito spend πρὸςproswith ὑμᾶςhymasyou , ἐὰνeanif hothe ΚύριοςKyriosLord ἐπιτρέψῃepitrepsēpermits .
8ἐπιμενῶepimenōI will stay δὲdeBut ἐνenin ἘφέσῳEphesōEphesus ἕωςheōsuntil τῆςtēs- ΠεντηκοστῆςPentēkostēsPentecost ,
9θύραthyradoor γάρgarbecause μοιmoito me , ἀνέῳγεaneogehas opened μεγάληmegalēa great καὶkai[for] ἐνεργήςenergēseffective [work] καὶkai[for] ἀντικείμενοιantikeimenoioppose [me] . πολλοίpolloimany
10ἘὰνEanIf δὲde- ἔλθῃelthēcomes , ΤιμόθεοςTimotheosTimothy βλέπετεblepetesee to it ἵναhinathat ἀφόβωςaphobōsnothing to fear γένηταιgenētaihe has πρὸςpros[while he is] with ὑμᾶςhymasyou , τὸtothe γὰρgarfor ἔργονergonwork ΚυρίουKyriouof [the] Lord , ἐργάζεταιergazetaihe is doing ὡςhōsjust as κἀγώkagōI am . μήNo τιςtisone , οὖνounthen , αὐτὸνauton. . . . ἐξουθενήσῃexouthenēsēshould treat him with contempt
11προπέμψατεpropempsateSend δὲde- αὐτὸνauton. . . . ἐνenin εἰρήνῃeirēnēpeace ἵναhinaso that ἔλθῃelthēhe can return πρόςprosto μεmeme , ἐκδέχομαιekdechomaiI am expecting γὰρgarfor αὐτὸνautonhim μετὰmetaalong with τῶνtōnthe ἀδελφῶνadelphōnbrothers .
12ΠερὶPeriabout δὲdeNow ἈπολλῶApollōApollos : τοῦtou[our] ἀδελφοῦadelphoubrother πολλὰpolla. . . παρεκάλεσαparekalesaI strongly urged αὐτὸνautonhim ἵναhinato ἔλθῃelthēgo πρὸςprosto ὑμᾶςhymasyou μετὰmetawith τῶνtōnthe ἀδελφῶνadelphōnbrothers . καὶkai- πάντωςpantōsat all οὐκouknot ἦνēnHe was θέλημαthelēmainclined ἵναhinato νῦνnynnow , ἔλθῃelthēgo ἐλεύσεταιeleusetaihe will go δὲdebut ὅτανhotanwhen εὐκαιρήσῃeukairēsēhe has the opportunity .
13ΓρηγορεῖτεGrēgoreiteBe on the alert . στήκετεstēketeStand firm ἐνenin τῇthe πίστειpisteifaith . ἀνδρίζεσθεandrizestheBe men of courage . κραταιοῦσθεkrataioustheBe strong .
14πάνταpantaeverything ὑμῶνhymōn- ἐνenin ἀγάπῃagapēlove . γινέσθωginesthōDo
15ΠαρακαλῶParakalōI urge δὲdeNow ὑμᾶςhymasyou , ἀδελφοίadelphoibrothers , οἴδατεoidateYou know τὴνtēn[and his] οἰκίανoikianhousehold ΣτεφανᾶStephanaStephanas ὅτιhotithat ἐστὶνestinwere ἀπαρχὴaparchē[the] first converts τῆςtēs- ἈχαΐαςAchaiasin Achaia , καὶkaiand εἰςeisto the διακονίανdiakonianservice τοῖςtoisof the ἁγίοιςhagioissaints . ἔταξανetaxanthey have devoted ἑαυτούςheautousthemselves
16ἵναhinato καὶkai- ὑμεῖςhymeis- ὑποτάσσησθεhypotassēsthesubmit τοῖςtois- τοιούτοιςtoioutoisto such as these , καὶkaiand παντὶpantito every τῷ- συνεργοῦντιsynergountifellow worker καὶkaiand κοπιῶντιkopiōntilaborer .
17ΧαίρωChairōI am glad that δὲde- ἐπὶepivvv τῇvvv παρουσίᾳparousiahave arrived , ΣτεφανᾶStephanaStephanas , καὶkai- ΦορτουνάτουPhortounatouFortunatus , καὶkaiand ἈχαϊκοῦAchaikouAchaicus ὅτιhotibecause τὸtowhat ὑμῶνhymōnyours {as well} . ὑστέρημαhysterēmawas lacking οὗτοιhoutoithey ἀνεπλήρωσανaneplērōsanhave supplied
18ἀνέπαυσανanepausanthey refreshed γὰρgarFor τὸto- ἐμὸνemonmy πνεῦμαpneumaspirit καὶkaiand τὸto- ὑμῶνhymōnyours {as well} . ἐπιγινώσκετεepiginōsketeShow your appreciation , οὖνountherefore , τοὺςtous- τοιούτουςtoioutousto such men .
19ἈσπάζονταιAspazontaisend you greetings ὑμᾶςhymas. . . . αἱhaiThe ἐκκλησίαιekklēsiaichurches τῆςtēs- ἈσίαςAsiasin [the province of] Asia ἈσπάζονταιAspazontaisend you greetings ὑμᾶςhymas. . . . ἐνenin ΚυρίῳKyriō[the] Lord , πολλὰpollawarmly ἈκύλαςAkylasAquila καὶkaiand ΠρίσκιλλαPriskillaPriscilla σὺνsynand so does τῇthe κατ’kat’[that meets] at οἶκονoikonhouse . αὐτῶνautōntheir ἐκκλησίᾳekklēsiachurch
20ἈσπάζονταιAspazontaisend you greetings ὑμᾶςhymas. . . . οἱhoithe ἀδελφοὶadelphoibrothers [here] πάντεςpantesAll ἈσπάσασθεAspasastheGreet ἀλλήλουςallēlousone another ἐνenwith φιλήματιphilēmatikiss . ἁγίῳhagiōa holy
21HoThis ἀσπασμὸςaspasmosgreeting τῇ[is in my] ἐμῇemēown χειρὶcheirihand — ΠαύλουPaulouPaul .
22ΕἴEiIf τιςtisanyone οὐou{does} not φιλεῖphileilove τὸνtonthe ΚύριονKyrionLord , ἸησοῦνIēsounJesus . ΧριστὸνChristonChrist ἤτωētōlet him be ἀνάθεμαanathemaunder a curse . μαρὰνmaranCome , ἀθᾶ.athaO Lord !
23The χάριςcharisgrace τοῦtouof the ΚυρίουKyriouLord ἸησοῦIēsouJesus ΧριστοῦChristouChrist , μεθ’meth’[be] with ὑμῶνhymōnyou .
24- ἀγάπηagapēlove μουmouMy μετὰmeta[be] with πάντωνpantōnall ὑμῶνhymōnof you ἐνenin ΧριστῷChristōChrist ἸησοῦIēsouJesus . ⧼Ἀμήν⧽AmēnAmen .
