3ΧάριςCharisGrace ὑμῖνhyminto you καὶkaiand εἰρήνηeirēnēpeace ἀπὸapofrom ΘεοῦTheouGod ΠατρὸςPatrosFather «καὶkaiand Κυρίου»Kyriouthe Lord ἡμῶνhēmōnour ἸησοῦIēsouJesus ΧριστοῦChristouChrist ,
4τοῦtouwho δόντοςdontosgave ἑαυτὸνheautonHimself ὑπὲρhyperfor τῶνtōn- ἁμαρτιῶνhamartiōnsins ἡμῶνhēmōnour ὅπωςhopōsto ἐξέληταιexelētairescue ἡμᾶςhēmasus ἐκekfrom τοῦtouthe ἐνεστῶτοςenestōtospresent αἰῶνοςaiōnosage , πονηροῦponērouevil κατὰkataaccording to τὸtothe θέλημαthelēmawill τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouGod καὶkaiand ΠατρὸςPatrosFather , ἡμῶνhēmōnof our
5to whom [be] - δόξαdoxaglory εἰςeisvvv τοὺςtousvvv αἰῶναςaiōnasforever τῶνtōn[and] αἰώνωνaiōnōnever . ἀμήνamēnAmen .
6ΘαυμάζωThaumazōI am amazed ὅτιhotivvv οὕτωhoutōso ταχέωςtacheōsquickly μετατίθεσθεmetatithestheyou are deserting ἀπὸapo- τοῦtouthe [One who] καλέσαντοςkalesantoscalled ὑμᾶςhymasyou ἐνenby χάριτιchariti[the] grace ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ εἰςeis[and are turning] to ἕτερονheterona different εὐαγγέλιονeuangeliongospel —
7howhich οὐκouknot even ἔστινestinis ἄλλοallo[a gospel] . εἰeiEvidently μή. . . τινέςtinessome εἰσινeisinare οἱhoi[people] ταράσσοντεςtarassontestroubling ὑμᾶςhymasyou καὶkaiand θέλοντεςthelontestrying μεταστρέψαιmetastrepsaito distort τὸtothe εὐαγγέλιονeuangeliongospel τοῦtou- ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ .
8ἈλλὰAllaBut καὶkaieven ἐὰνeanif ἡμεῖςhēmeiswe ēor ἄγγελοςangelosan angel ἐξexfrom οὐρανοῦouranouheaven εὐαγγελίζηται*euangelizētaishould preach a gospel ὑμῖνhymin. . . παρ’par’contrary to hothe one εὐηγγελισάμεθαeuēngelisamethawe preached ὑμῖνhyminto you , ἀνάθεμαanathemaunder a curse ! ἔστωestōlet him be
9ὡςhōsAs προειρήκαμενproeirēkamenwe have said before , καὶkaiso ἄρτιartinow πάλινpalinagain : λέγωlegōI say εἴeiIf τιςtisanyone ὑμᾶςhymas. . . εὐαγγελίζεταιeuangelizetaiis preaching to you a gospel παρ’par’contrary to hothe one παρελάβετεparelabeteyou received , ἀνάθεμαanathemaunder a curse ! ἔστωestōlet him be
10ἌρτιArti{Am I} now γὰρgar- ἀνθρώπουςanthrōpousof men , πείθωpeithōseeking the approval ēor τὸνton- ΘεόνTheonof God ? ēOr ζητῶzētōam I striving ἀνθρώποιςanthrōpoismen ? ἀρέσκεινareskeinto please εἰeiIf γὰρgarFor ἔτιeti. . . ἀνθρώποιςanthrōpoismen , ἤρεσκονēreskonI were still trying to please ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ . δοῦλοςdoulosa servant οὐκoukvvv ἂνanvvv ἤμηνēmēnI would not be
11γνωρίζωgnōrizōI certify δὲdeBut ὑμῖνhyminto you , ἀδελφοίadelphoibrothers , τὸto[that] the εὐαγγέλιονeuangeliongospel τὸto- εὐαγγελισθὲνeuangelisthenI preached ὑπ’hyp’. . . ἐμοῦemou. . . ὅτιhoti- οὐκouknot ἐστίestiI have κατὰkatadevised by ἄνθρωπονanthrōponman .
12οὐδὲoudedid not γὰρgar- ἐγὼegōI παρὰparafrom ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouany man , παρέλαβονparelabonreceive αὐτόautoit οὔτεoutenor ἐδιδάχθηνedidachthēnwas I taught [it] ; ἀλλὰallarather, [ I received it ] δι’di’by ἀποκαλύψεωςapokalypseōsrevelation ἸησοῦIēsoufrom Jesus ΧριστοῦChristouChrist .
13ἨκούσατεĒkousateyou have heard of γὰρgarFor τὴνtēn- ἐμὴνemēnmy ἀναστροφήνanastrophēnway of life ποτεpoteformer ἐνenin τῷ- ἸουδαϊσμῷIoudaismōJudaism , ὅτιhotihow καθ’kath’severely ὑπερβολὴνhyperbolēn. . . ἐδίωκονediōkonI persecuted τὴνtēnthe ἐκκλησίανekklēsianchurch τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God καὶkaiand ἐπόρθουνeporthountried to destroy αὐτήνautēnit .
14καὶkai- προέκοπτονproekoptonI was advancing ἐνenin τῷ- ἸουδαϊσμῷIoudaismōJudaism ὑπὲρhyperbeyond πολλοὺςpollousmany συνηλικιώταςsynēlikiōtasof my contemporaries ἐνen. . . τῷ. . . γένειgenei. . . μουmou. . . περισσοτέρωςperissoterōsextremely ζηλωτὴςzēlōtēszealous ὑπάρχωνhyparchōn[and] was τῶνtōnfor the πατρικῶνpatrikōnfathers . μουmouof my παραδόσεωνparadoseōntraditions

16ἀποκαλύψαιapokalypsaito reveal τὸνton- ΥἱὸνHuionSon αὐτοῦautouHis ἐνenin ἐμοὶemoime ἵναhinaso that εὐαγγελίζωμαιeuangelizōmaiI might preach αὐτὸνautonHim ἐνenamong τοῖςtoisthe ἔθνεσινethnesinGentiles , εὐθέωςeutheōs. . . οὐou. . . προσανεθέμηνprosanethemēnI did not rush to consult σαρκὶsarkiwith flesh καὶkaiand αἵματιhaimatiblood ,
17οὐδὲoudenor ἀνῆλθονanēlthondid I go up εἰςeisto ἹεροσόλυμαHierosolymaJerusalem πρὸςprosto τοὺςtousthe πρὸpro[who came] before ἐμοῦemoume , ἀποστόλουςapostolousapostles ἀλλὰallabut ἀπῆλθονapēlthonI went εἰςeisinto ἈραβίανArabianArabia καὶkaiand πάλινpalin[later] ὑπέστρεψαhypestrepsareturned εἰςeisto ΔαμασκόνDamaskonDamascus .

21ἜπειταEpeitaLater ἦλθονēlthonI went εἰςeisto τὰtathe κλίματαklimataregions τῆςtēs- ΣυρίαςSyriasof Syria καὶkaiand τῆςtēs- ΚιλικίαςKilikiasCilicia .
22ἤμηνēmēnI was δὲdehowever , ἀγνοούμενοςagnooumenosunknown , τῷ- προσώπῳprosōpōpersonally ταῖςtaisto the ἐκκλησίαιςekklēsiaischurches τῆςtēs- ἸουδαίαςIoudaiasof Judea ταῖςtaisthat [are] ἐνenin ΧριστῷChristōChrist .
23μόνονmonononly δὲde- ἀκούοντεςakouontesheard ἦσανēsanThey ὅτιhotithe account : Ho“ The [man who] διώκωνdiōkōnpersecuted ἡμᾶςhēmasus ποτεpoteformerly νῦνnyn{is} now εὐαγγελίζεταιeuangelizetaipreaching τὴνtēnthe πίστινpistinfaith ἥνhēn- ποτεpote{he} once ἐπόρθειeportheitried to destroy . ”
24καὶkaiAnd ἐδόξαζονedoxazonthey glorified ἐνenbecause of ἐμοὶemoime . τὸνton- ΘεόνTheonGod
