3δὲdeThen ὉHo- ΣατανᾶςSatanasSatan εἰςeis. . . ἸούδανIoudanJudas τὸνton- ἐπικαλούμενονepikaloumenoncalled ἸσκαριώτηνIskariōtēnIscariot , ὄνταontawho was ἐκekof τοῦtouthe ἀριθμοῦarithmou[one] τῶνtōn- δώδεκαdōdekaTwelve .
4καὶkaiAnd ἀπελθὼνapelthōn[Judas] went συνελάλησεsunelaleseto discuss with τοῖςtoisthe ἀρχιερεῦσιarkhiereusichief priests καὶkaiand γραμματεῦσιgrammateusiscribes καὶkaiand στρατηγοῖςstratēgois[temple] officers τὸto- πῶςpōshow αὐτόνauton[Jesus] παραδῷparadōhe might betray αὐτοῖςautoisto them .
5καὶkai- ἐχάρησανecharēsanThey were delighted καὶkaiand συνέθεντοsynethentoagreed αὐτῷautōhim ἀργύριαarguriamoney , δοῦναιdounaito give
6καὶkaiand ἐξωμολόγησε,exomologese[Judas] consented , καὶkaiand ἐζήτειezēteibegan to look for εὐκαιρίανeukairian[an] opportunity τοῦtou- παραδοῦναιparadounaito betray αὐτὸνauton[Jesus] αὐτοῖςautoisto them ἄτερaterin the absence of ὄχλουochlou[a] crowd .
7ἔλθῃelthēcomes . ” δὲdeSo ἡhēthe ἡμέραhēmeraday τῶνtōnof ἀζύμωνazymōnUnleavened [Bread] [ἐν]enon ᾗhēwhich ἔδειedeiwas to θύεσθαιthyesthaibe sacrificed . τὸtothe πάσχαpaschaPassover lamb

9ΟἱHoi- δὲde- εἰπώνeipōnsaying , αὐτῷautō- . ΠοῦPou“ Where θέλειςtheleisdo You want ἑτοιμάσωμενhetoimasōmenus to prepare [it] ? ”
10ὉHo- δὲde- εἶπενeipenHe answered αὐτοῖςautois. . . , ἸδοὺIdouvvv εἰσελθόντωνeiselthontōn“ When you enter ὑμῶνhymōnvvv εἰςeis. . . τὴνtēnthe πόλινpolincity , συναντήσειsynantēseiwill meet ὑμῖνhyminyou . ἄνθρωποςanthrōposa man κεράμιονkeramiona jug ὕδατοςhydatosof water βαστάζωνbastazōncarrying ἀκολουθήσατεakolouthēsateFollow αὐτῷautōhim εἰςeisto τὴνtēnthe οἰκίανoikianhouse οὐouvvv εἰσπορεύεταιeisporeuetaihe enters ,

12κἀκεῖνοςkakeinosAnd he ὑμῖνhyminyou δείξειdeixeiwill show ἀνώγαιονanogaionupper room , μέγαmegaa large ἐστρωμένονestrōmenonalready furnished . ἐκεῖekeithere . ” ἑτοιμάσατεhetoimasateMake preparations
13ἈπελθόντεςApelthontesthey went δὲdeSo εὗρονheuron[and] found [it] καθὼςkathōsjust as εἴρηκενeireken[Jesus] had told αὐτοῖςautoisthem . καὶkaiAnd ἡτοίμασανhētoimasanthey prepared τὸtothe πάσχαpaschaPassover .
14ΚαὶKai- ὅτεhoteWhen ἐγένετοegenetohad come , ἡhēthe ὥραhōrahour ἀνέπεσε,anepese[Jesus] reclined at the table καὶkai- οἱhoi- δώδεκαdōdekaTwelve . ἀπόστολοιapostoloiapostles . σὺνsynwith αὐτῷautōHis
15καὶkai- εἰπὲeipesay πρὸςprosto αὐτούςautousthem , ἘπιθυμίᾳEpithymiavvv ἐπεθύμησαepethymēsa“ I have eagerly desired τοῦτοtoutothis τὸto- πάσχαpaschaPassover φαγεῖνphageinto eat μεθ’meth’with ὑμῶνhymōnyou πρὸprobefore τοῦtou- μεmeMy παθεῖνpatheinsuffering .
16λέγωlegōI tell γὰρgarFor ὑμῖνhyminyou ὅτιhotithat οὐκέτιouketino longer οὐouvvv μὴmēvvv φάγωphagōI will not eat ἐξexof αὐτοῦautouhis ἕωςheōsuntil ὅτουhotou. . . πληρωθῇplērōthēit is fulfilled ἐνenin τῇtēthe βασιλείᾳbasileiakingdom τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God . ”
17ΚαὶKaiAfter δεξάμενοςdexamenostaking τὸto- ποτήριονpotērion[the] cup , εὐχαριστήσαςeucharistēsas[He] gave thanks εἰπὲeipesay ΛάβετεLabete“ Take τοῦτοtoutothis καὶkaiand διαμερίσατεdiamerisatedivide [it] ἑαυτοῖςheautoisthemselves ,
18λέγωlegōI tell γὰρgarFor ὑμῖνhyminyou [ὅτι]hotithat οὐouvvv μὴmēvvv πίωpiōI will not drink ἀπὸapoof τοῦtouthe γενήματοςgenēmatosfruit τῆςtēsof the ἀμπέλουampelouvine ἕωςheōsuntil ὅτουhotou. . . ἡhēthe βασιλείαbasileiakingdom τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ἔλθῃelthēcomes . ”
19ΚαὶKaiAnd λαβὼνlabōnHe took ἄρτονarton[the] bread , εὐχαριστήσαςeucharistēsasgave thanks ἔκλασεeklase[and] broke [it] , καὶkaiand ἔδωκενedōkengave [it] αὐτοῖςautoisto them , λέγωνlegōnsaying , ΤοῦτόTouto“ This ἐστιestiis τὸto- σῶμάsōmabody , μουmouMy τὸto- ὑπὲρhyperfor ὑμῶνhymōnyou ; διδόμενονdidomenongiven τοῦτοtoutothis ποιεῖτεpoieitedo εἰςeisin τὴνtēn- ἐμὴνemēnof Me . ” ἀνάμνησινanamnēsinremembrance ὡσαύτωςhōsautōsIn the same way ,
20καὶkai- τὸto. . . ποτήριονpotērioncup , μετὰmetaafter τὸto. . . δειπνῆσαιdeipnēsaisupper λέγωνlegōnsaying , ΤοῦτοTouto“ This τὸto- ποτήριονpotērioncup [is] ἡhēthe καινὴkainēnew διαθήκηdiathēkēcovenant ἐνenin τῷtō- αἵματίhaimatiblood , μουmouMy τῷtō- ὑπὲρhyperfor ὑμῶνhymōnyou . ἐκχυνόμενον.ekkhunomenonis poured out
21ΠλὴνPlēnvvv ἰδοὺidouLook ! ἡhēThe χεὶρcheirhand τοῦtouvvv παραδιδόντοςparadidontosof My betrayer μεme. . . μετ’met’[is] with ἐμοῦemouMine ἐπὶepion τῆςtēsthe τραπέζηςtrapezēstable .
22ΚαὶKaiThen ὁho- μὲνmenIndeed , ΥἱὸςHuiosSon τοῦtouof ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouMan πορεύεταιporeuetaiwill go κατὰkataas τὸto- ὡρισμένονhōrismenonit has been determined , πλὴνplēnbut οὐαὶouaiwoe τῷtō- ἀνθρώπῳanthrōpōman ἐκείνῳekeinōto that δι’di’- οὗhouwho παραδίδοταιparadidotaibetrays Him . ”
23ΚαὶKaiThen αὐτοὶautoithey ἤρξαντοērxantobegan συζητεῖνsyzēteinto question πρὸςprosamong ἑαυτοὺςheautousthemselves τὸto- τίςtiswhich ἄραara- εἴηeiēwas ἐξexof αὐτῶνautōnthem ὁho- τοῦτοtoutothis . μέλλωνmellōngoing πράσσεινprasseinto do
24ἘγένετοEgenetoarose δὲde- καὶkaialso φιλονεικίαphiloneikiaA dispute ἐνenamong αὐτοῖςautois[the disciples] τὸto[as to] τίςtiswhich αὐτῶνautōnof them δοκεῖdokeiwould be considered εἶναιeinai. . . μείζωνmeizōn[the] greatest .
25ὁho- δὲdeSo εἶπενeipen[Jesus] declared αὐτοῖςautois. . . , ΟἱHoi“ The βασιλεῖςbasileiskings τῶνtōnof the ἐθνῶνethnōnGentiles κυριεύουσινkyrieuousinlord it over αὐτῶνautōnthem , καὶkaiand οἱhoithose ἐξουσιάζοντεςexousiazontesin authority over αὐτῶνautōnthem εὐεργέταιeuergetaibenefactors . καλοῦνταιkalountaicall themselves
26ὑμεῖςhymeisyou δὲdeBut οὐχouch[shall] not [be] οὕτωςhoutōslike them . ἀλλ’all’Instead , ὁhothe μείζωνmeizōngreatest ἐνenamong ὑμῖνhyminyou γινέσθωginesthōshould be ὡςhōslike ὁhothe νεώτεροςneōterosyoungest , καὶkaiand ὁhothe [one who] ἡγούμενοςhēgoumenosleads ὡςhōslike ὁhothe [one who] διακονῶνdiakonōnserves .
27τίςtiswho γὰρgarFor μείζωνmeizōn[is] greater , ὁhothe [one who] ἀνακείμενοςanakeimenosreclines at the table ἢēor ὁhothe [one who] διακονῶνdiakonōnserves ? οὐχὶouchi[Is it] not ὁhothe [one who] ἀνακείμενοςanakeimenosreclines ? ἐγὼegōI δὲdeBut εἰμιeimiam ἐνenvvv μέσῳmesōamong you ὑμῶνhymōnvvv ὡςhōsas ὁho[one who] διακονῶνdiakonōnserves .
28ὙμεῖςHymeisYou δέde- ἐστεesteare οἱhoithe ones διαμεμενηκότεςdiamemenēkoteswho have stood μετ’met’by ἐμοῦemouMe ἐνenin τοῖςtois- πειρασμοῖςpeirasmoistrials . μουmouMy
29κἀγὼkagōAnd I διατίθεμαιdiatithemaibestow ὑμῖνhyminon you καθὼςkathōsjust as διέθετόdiethetohas bestowed [one] μοιmoion Me , ὁho- ΠατήρPatērFather μουmouMy βασιλείανbasileiana kingdom ,
30ἵναhinaso that ἐσθίετεesthietedo you eat καὶkaiand πίνητεpinētedrink ἐπὶepiat τῆςtēs- τραπέζηςtrapezēstable μουmouMy ἐνenin τῇtē- βασιλείᾳbasileiakingdom , μουmouMy καὶkaiand καθήσεσθεkathēsesthesit ἐπὶepion θρόνωνthronōnthrones , κρίνοντεςkrinontesjudging τὰςtasthe δώδεκαdōdekatwelve φυλὰςphylastribes τοῦtouof ἸσραήλIsraēlIsrael . εἰπὲeipesay δὲdeBut ὁho- ΚύριοςKyriosLord
31ΣίμωνSimōnSimon ΣίμωνSimōnSimon ἰδοὺidou- , ὁho- ΣατανᾶςSatanasSatan ἐξῃτήσατοexētēsatohas asked ὑμᾶςhymaseach of you τοῦtou- σινιάσαιsiniasaito sift ὡςhōslike τὸνton- σῖτονsitonwheat .
32ἐγὼegōI δὲdeBut ἐδεήθηνedeēthēnhave prayed περὶperifor σοῦsouyou, [ Simon ] , ἵναhinathat μὴmēvvv ἐκλίπῃeklipēwill not fail . ἡhē- πίστιςpistisfaith σουsouyour καὶkaiAnd σύsyyou ποτεpotewhen ἐπιστρέψαςepistrepsashave turned back , στήριξονsterixonstrengthen τοὺςtous- ἀδελφούςadelphousbrothers . ” σουsouyour
33ὉHo- δὲde- εἶπενeipensaid [Peter] αὐτῷautō- , ΚύριεKyrie“ Lord , ” μετὰmetawith σοῦsouYou ἕτοιμόςhetoimosready εἰμιeimi“ I am καὶkaieven εἰςeisto φυλακὴνphylakēnprison καὶkaiand εἰςeisto θάνατονthanatondeath . ” πορεύεσθαιporeuesthaito go
34ὉHo- δὲde- εἰπὲeipesay ΛέγωLegō“ I tell σοιsoiyou , ΠέτρεPetrePeter , οὐou{will} not φωνήσειphōnēseicrow σήμερονsēmerontoday ἀλέκτωρalektōr[the] rooster ΠρὶνPrin“ Before ἡhēto the τρίςtristhree times . ” ἀπαρνήσῃaparnēsēyou will deny μεmeMe εἰδέναιeidenaithat you know μεmeMe . ”
35ΚαὶKaiThen εἶπενeipen[Jesus] asked αὐτοῖςautoisthem , ὍτεHote“ When ἀπέστειλαapesteilaI sent you out ὑμᾶςhymas. . . ἄτερaterwithout βαλαντίουbalantioupurse καὶkai[or] πήραςpērasbag καὶkai[or] ὑποδημάτωνhypodēmatōnsandals , μήmēvvv τινοςtinosanything ? ” ὑστερήθητε;usterethetedid you lack ΟἱHoi- δὲde- εἰπώνeipōnsaying , ΟὐθενόςOuthenos“ Nothing , ”
36ΕἶπενEipenHe told οὖνounthen αὐτοῖςautois. . . , ἀλλὰallabut νῦνnyn“ Now , ὁho“ the [one] ἔχωνechōnwith βαλάντιονbalantiona purse ἀράτωaratōshould take [it] , ὁμοίωςhomoiōslikewise καὶkaiand πήρανpērana bag ; καὶkaiand ὁhothe [one] μὴmē. . . ἔχωνechōnwithout πωλήσειpoleseishould sell τὸto- ἱμάτιονhimationcloak αὐτοῦautouhis καὶkaiand ἀγοράσειagoraseibuy [one] . μάχαιρανmachairana sword
37λέγωlegōI tell γὰρgarFor ὑμῖνhyminyou ὅτιhotithat ἜτιEtiWhile τοῦτοtoutothis τὸto- γεγραμμένονgegrammenonScripture δεῖdeimust τελεσθῆναιtelesthēnaibe fulfilled ἐνenin ἐμοίemoiMe : ΤόTo- ΚαὶKai‘ And μετὰmetawith ἀνόμωνanomōn[the] transgressors .’ ἐλογίσθηelogisthēHe was numbered ΚαὶKai‘ And γὰρgarFor τὰta. . . περὶperiabout ἐμοῦemouMe τέλοςtelosits fulfillment . ” ἔχειecheiis reaching
38ΟἱHoi- δὲdeSo εἰπὸνeipontell ΚύριεKyrie“ Lord , ἰδοὺidouarrived , μάχαιραιmachairaiswords . ” ὧδεhōdehere [are] δύοdyotwo ὉHo- δὲde- εἶπενeipenHe answered αὐτοῖςautois. . . . ἹκανόνHikanonenough , ” ἐστι.estiis
39ΚαὶKai- ἐξελθὼνexelthōn[Jesus] went out ἐπορεύθηeporeuthē. . . κατὰkataas usual τὸto. . . ἔθοςethos. . . εἰςeisto τὸtothe ὄροςorosMount τῶνtōn- ἘλαιῶνElaiōnof Olives , ἠκολούθησανēkolouthēsanfollowed δὲdeWhen αὐτῷautōHim . καὶkai- οἱhoithe μαθηταίmathētaidisciples αὐτοῦautouhis
40γενόμενοςgenomenosHe came δὲdeWhen ἐπὶepito τοῦtouthe τόπουtopouplace , εἶπενeipenHe told αὐτοῖςautoisthem , ΠροσεύχεσθεProseuchesthe“ Pray μὴmēvvv εἰσελθεῖνeiseltheinthat you will not enter εἰςeisinto πειρασμόνpeirasmontemptation . ”
41ΚαὶKaiAnd αὐτὸςautosHe ἀπεσπάσθηapespasthēwithdrew ἀπ’ap’beyond αὐτῶνautōnthem , ὡσεὶhōseiabout λίθουlithoua stone’s βολήνbolēnthrow καὶkai[where] θεὶςtheisHe knelt down τὰta. . . γόναταgonata. . . προσηύχετοprosēucheto[and] prayed ,
42λέγωνlegōn- ΠάτερPater“ Father , εἰeiif βούλειbouleiYou are willing , παρενεγκεῖνparenegkeintake τοῦτοtoutothis τὸto- ποτήριονpotērioncup ἀπ’ap’from ἐμοῦemouMe . πλὴνplēnYet μὴmēnot τὸto- θέλημάthelēmawill , μουmouMy ἀλλὰallabut τὸto- σὸνsonYours γινέσθωginesthōbe done . ”
43ὬφθηŌphthēappeared δὲdeThen αὐτῷautōto Him ἄγγελοςangelosan angel ἀπ’ap’from οὐρανοῦouranouheaven ἐνισχύωνenischyōn[and] strengthened αὐτόνautonHim .
44καὶkaiAnd γενόμενοςgenomenos- ἐνenin [His] ἀγωνίᾳagōniaanguish , ἐκτενέστερονektenesteronmore earnestly , προσηύχετοprosēuchetoHe prayed ἐγένετοegenetobecame δὲdeThen ὁho- ἱδρὼςhidrōssweat αὐτοῦautouHis ὡσεὶhōseilike θρόμβοιthromboidrops αἵματοςhaimatosof blood καταβαίνοντεςkatabainontesfalling ἐπὶepito τὴνtēnthe γῆνgēnground .
45ΚαὶKaiWhen ἀναστὰςanastas[Jesus] rose ἀπὸapofrom τῆςtēs- προσευχῆςproseuchēsprayer ἐλθὼνelthōn[and] returned πρὸςprosto τοὺςtousthe μαθητὰςmathētasdisciples , εὗρενheurenHe found αὐτοὺςautousthem κοιμωμένουςkoimōmenousasleep , ἀπὸapoexhausted from τῆςtēs- λύπηςlypēssorrow .
46καὶkai- εἶπενeipenHe asked αὐτοῖςautois- . ΤίTi“ Why καθεύδετεkatheudeteare you sleeping ? ” ἀναστάντεςanastantes“ Get up προσεύχεσθεproseuchesthe[and] pray ἵναhinaso that μὴmēvvv εἰσέλθητεeiselthēteyou will not enter εἰςeisinto πειρασμόνpeirasmontemptation . ”
47ἜτιEtiWhile δὲdeBut αὐτοῦautouHe λαλοῦντοςlalountoswas still speaking , ἰδοὺidouarrived , ὄχλοςochlosa crowd καὶkai- ὁhothe [man] λεγόμενοςlegomenoscalled ἸούδαςIoudasJudas , εἷςheisone τῶνtōnof the δώδεκαdōdekaTwelve . προῆγενproegenled by αὐτούςautous. . . καὶkai- ἤγγισεeggiseHe approached τῷtō- ἸησοῦIēsouJesus φιλῆσαιphilēsaito kiss αὐτόνautonHim . τοῦτοtoutothis γὰρgarFor σημεῖονsēmeionmiracle . δεδώκειdedōkeihe had given αὐτοῖςautois. . . . ὧνhōn- ἂνan. . . φιλήσω,philesoto kiss αὐτὸςautosHe ἐστινestin“ That is

49ἸδόντεςIdontessaw δὲde- οἱhoiThose περὶperiaround αὐτὸνauton[Jesus] τὸtowhat ἐσόμενονesomenonwas about to happen εἰπὸνeipontell αὐτῷautōHim ΚύριεKyrie“ Lord , εἰeivvv πατάξομενpataxomenshould we strike ἐνenwith μαχαίρᾳ;makhairaa sword
50καὶkaiAnd ἐπάταξενepataxenstruck εἷςheisone τιςtisvvv ἐξexof αὐτῶνautōnthem τὸνtonthe δοῦλονdoulonservant τοῦtouof the ἀρχιερέωςarchiereōshigh priest , καὶkai- ἀφεῖλενapheilencutting off αὐτοῦautouhis τὸto- οὖςousear . τὸto- δεξιόνdexionright
51ἈποκριθεὶςApokritheisanswered δὲdeBut ὁho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus εἶπενeipen. . . , ἘᾶτεEate“ No more ἕωςheōs. . . τούτουtoutouof this ! ” καὶkaiAnd ἁψάμενοςhapsamenos[He] touched τοῦtouthe [man’s] ὠτίουōtiouear ἰάσατοiasato[and] healed αὐτόνautonhim . εἰπὲeipesay
52δὲdeThen ὁho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus πρὸςprosto τοὺςtouswho παραγενομένουςparagenomenoushad come ἐπ’ep’for αὐτὸνautonHim , ἀρχιερεῖςarchiereis[the] chief priests , καὶkai- στρατηγοὺςstratēgoustemple officers τοῦtou. . . ἱεροῦhierou. . . , καὶkaiand πρεσβυτέρουςpresbyterouselders ὩςHōsas ἐπὶepi[you would] against λῃστὴνlēstēnan outlaw ? ἐξεληλύθατεexeleluthatedid you go out μετὰmetawith μαχαιρῶνmachairōnswords καὶkaiand ξύλωνxylōnclubs
53καθ’kath’Every ἡμέρανhēmeranday ὄντοςontoswas μουmouI μεθ’meth’with ὑμῶνhymōnyou ἐνenin τῷtōthe ἱερῷhierōtemple [courts] , οὐκoukvvv ἐξετείνατεexeteinate[and] you did not lay τὰςtasa χεῖραςcheirashand ἐπ’ep’on ἐμέemeMe . ἀλλ’all’But αὕτηhautēthis ἐστὶνestinbelongs ὑμῶνhymōnto you ἡhēto the ὥραhōrahour καὶkaiand ἡhēto the ἐξουσίαexousiapower τοῦtou- σκότουςskotousof darkness . ”

57ὉHo- δὲdeBut ἠρνήσατοērnēsato[Peter] denied [it] . λέγωνlegōnhe said . γύναιgynai“ Woman , ΟὐκOukvvv οἶδαoidaI do not know αὐτόνautonHim , ”
58ΚαὶKai- μετὰmetalater , βραχὺbrachyA short time ἕτεροςheterossomeone else ἰδὼνidōnsaw αὐτὸνautonhim ἔφηephē[and] said , ΚαὶKaialso σὺsy“ You ἐξexone of αὐτῶνautōnthem . ” εἶeiare ὉHo- δὲdeBut ΠέτροςPetrosPeter εἶπενeipenshe said . ἌνθρωπεAnthrōpe“ Man , οὐκouknot . ” εἰμίeimiI am

60εἰπὲeipesay δὲde- ὁho- ΠέτροςPetrosPeter ἌνθρωπεAnthrōpe“ Man , οὐκoukvvv οἶδαoidaI do not know ὃhowhat λέγειςlegeisyou are talking about , ” καὶkai- παραχρῆμαparachrēmavvv ἔτιetiWhile λαλοῦντοςlalountoswas still speaking , αὐτοῦautouhe ἐφώνησεephonese[and] called out ἀλέκτωρalektōrthe rooster
61καὶkaiAnd στραφεὶςstrapheisturned ὁhothe ΚύριοςKyriosLord ἐνέβλεψεeneblepse[and] looked at τῷtō- ΠέτρῳPetrōPeter . καὶkaiThen ὑπεμνήσθηhypemnēsthēremembered ὁho- ΠέτροςPetrosPeter τοῦtouthe λόγουlogouword τοῦtouthe ΚυρίουKyriouLord ὡςhōsthat εἶπενeipenhad spoken αὐτῷautōto him ὅτιhoti- : ΠρὶνPrin“ Before ἀλέκτοραalektora[the] rooster φωνῆσαιphōnēsaicrows ἀπαρνήσῃaparnēsēyou will deny μεmeMe τρίςtristhree times . ”
62καὶkaiAnd ἐξελθὼνexelthōnhe went ἔξωexōoutside ὁhovvv ΠέτροςPetrosPeter ἔκλαυσεeklause[and] wept πικρῶςpikrōsbitterly .
63ΚαὶKai- οἱhoiThe ἄνδρεςandresmen οἱhoiwho συνέχοντεςsynechonteswere holding τὸνtonthe ἸησοῦνIēsounJesus . ἐνέπαιζονenepaizonbegan to mock αὐτῷautōHim δέροντεςderontes[and] beat [Him] .
64καὶkaiThey περικαλύψαντεςperikalypsantesblindfolded αὐτὸνautonHim ἔτυπτονetuptonhe beat αὐτοῦautouhe τῷtō- πρόσωπονprosōpon. . . καὶkaiThen ἐπηρώτωνepērōtōn[and] kept demanding αὐτὸνautonHim λέγοντεςlegontes. . . , ΠροφήτευσονProphēteuson“ Prophesy ! τίςtisWho ἐστινestinvvv ὁhovvv παίσαςpaisashit σεseYou ? ”
65καὶkaiAnd ἕτεραheterathings πολλὰpollamany {other} βλασφημοῦντεςblasphēmountesblasphemous ἔλεγονelegonthey said εἰςeisagainst αὐτόνautonHim .
66ΚαὶKaivvv ὡςhōsvvv ἐγένετοegenetovvv ἡμέραhēmeraAt daybreak συνήχθηsynēchthēmet together . τὸto- πρεσβυτέριονpresbyterioncouncil of the elders τοῦtouof the λαοῦlaoupeople , ἀρχιερεῖςarchiereis[the] chief priests καὶkaiand γραμματεῖςgrammateisscribes , καὶkaiand ἀνήγαγονanēgagon[His parents] brought αὐτὸνautonJesus εἰςeisinto τὸto- συνέδριονsynedrionSanhedrin ἑαυτὸνheautonhimself λέγοντεςlegontes[and] said ,
67ΕἰEi“ If σὺsyYou εἶeiare ὁhothe ΧριστόςChristosChrist , εἰπὲeipesay ἡμῖνhēminus . ” εἰπὲeipesay δὲde- αὐτοῖςautois. . . , ἘὰνEan“ If ὑμῖνhyminyou , εἴπωeipōI tell οὐouvvv μὴmēvvv πιστεύσητεpisteusēteyou will not believe . ἐὰνeanif
68δὲdeAnd καὶkai- ἐρωτήσωerōtēsōI ask [you] a question , οὐouvvv μὴmēvvv ἀποκριθῆτεapokrithēteyou will not answer . μοιmoion Me , ἢēor ἀπολύσητε·apoluseteyou will not answer .
69ἀπὸapofrom τοῦtou- νῦνnynnow on ἔσταιestaiwill be ὁhothe ΥἱὸςHuiosSon τοῦtou- ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouof Man καθήμενοςkathēmenosseated ἐκekat δεξιῶνdexiōn[the] right hand τῆςtēsof the δυνάμεωςdynameōspower τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God .”
70εἰπὸνeipontell δὲde- πάντεςpantesvvv ΣὺSyYou οὖνounthen εἶei“ Are ὁhothe ΥἱὸςHuiosSon τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ? ” ὉHo- δὲde- πρὸςpros- αὐτοὺςautous- , ἔφηephēHe replied ὙμεῖςHymeis“ You λέγετεlegetesay ὅτιhotithat ἐγώegōI εἰμιeimiam . ”
71ΟἱHoi- δὲde- εἰπὸνeipontell ΤίTi“ Why ἔτιetiany more χρείανchreian. . . ἔχομενechomendo we need μαρτυρίαςmartyriastestimony ? ” αὐτοὶautoiourselves γὰρgarfor ἠκούσαμενēkousamen“ We have heard [it] ἀπὸapofrom τοῦtou- στόματοςstomatoslips . ” αὐτοῦautouHis own
