1ΣυνεργοῦντεςSynergountes[God’s] fellow workers , δὲdeyet καὶkaiyet παρακαλοῦμενparakaloumenwe urge μὴnot εἰςeisin κενὸνkenonvain . τὴνtēn- χάρινcharingrace τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouGod’s δέξασθαιdexasthaito receive ὑμᾶςhymasyou
2λέγειlegeiHe says : γάρgarFor ΚαιρῷKairō“ In the time δεκτῷdektōof favor ἐπήκουσάepēkousaI heard σουsouyou , καὶkaiand ἐνenin ἡμέρᾳhēmera[the] day σωτηρίαςsōtēriasof salvation ἐβοήθησάeboēthēsaI helped σοιsoiyou .” ἸδοὺIdouBehold , νῦνnynnow καιρὸςkairos[is the] time εὐπρόσδεκτοςeuprosdektosof favor ; ἰδοὺidou- νῦνnynnow ἡμέραhēmera[is the] day σωτηρίαςsōtēriasof salvation !
3ΜηδεμίανMēdemianno ἐνenin μηδενὶmēdeni[anyone’s] {way} , διδόντεςdidontesWe put προσκοπήνproskopēnobstacle ἵναhinaso that μὴno one μωμηθῇmōmēthēcan discredit [our] διακονίαdiakoniaministry .
4ἀλλ’all’Rather , ἐνenin παντὶpantievery way : συνιστῶντεςsunistonteswe commend ἑαυτοὺςheautousourselves ὡςhōsas ΘεοῦTheouof God διάκονοιdiakonoiservants ἐνenin ὑπομονῇhypomonēendurance ; πολλῇpollēgreat ἐνenin θλίψεσινthlipsesintroubles , ἐνen- ἀνάγκαιςanankaishardships , ἐνen[and] στενοχωρίαιςstenochōriaiscalamities ;
5ἐνenin πληγαῖςplēgaisbeatings , ἐνen- φυλακαῖςphylakaisimprisonments , ἐνen- ἀκαταστασίαιςakatastasiais[and] riots ; ἐνenin κόποιςkopoislabor , ἐνen- ἀγρυπνίαιςagrypniaissleepless nights , ἐνen- νηστείαιςnēsteiais[and] hunger ;
6ἐνenin ἁγνότητιhagnotētipurity , ἐνen- γνώσειgnōseiknowledge , ἐνen- μακροθυμίᾳmakrothymiapatience , ἐνen[and] χρηστότητιchrēstotētikindness ; ἐνenin ΠνεύματιPneumatiSpirit ἉγίῳHagiō[the] Holy ἐνenin ἀγάπῃagapēlove ; ἀνυποκρίτῳanypokritōsincere
7ἐνen[and] in λόγῳlogōspeech ἀληθείαςalētheiastruthful ἐνenin δυνάμειdynamei[the] power ΘεοῦTheouof God ; διὰdiawith τῶνtōnthe ὅπλωνhoplōnweapons τῆςtēs- δικαιοσύνηςdikaiosynēsof righteousness τῶνtōnin the δεξιῶνdexiōnright hand καὶkaiand ἀριστερῶνaristerōnin [the] left ;
8διὰdiathrough δόξηςdoxēsglory καὶkaiand ἀτιμίαςatimiasdishonor , διὰdia- δυσφημίαςdysphēmiasslander καὶkaiand εὐφημίαςeuphēmiaspraise ; ὡςhōsviewed as πλάνοιplanoiimposters , καὶkaiyet ἀληθεῖςalētheisgenuine ;
9ὡςhōsas ἀγνοούμενοιagnooumenoiunknown , καὶkaiyet ἐπιγινωσκόμενοιepiginōskomenoiwell-known ; ὡςhōs- ἀποθνήσκοντεςapothnēskontesdying , καὶkaiand yet ἰδοὺidou- ζῶμενzōmenwe live on ; ὡςhōs- παιδευόμενοιpaideuomenoipunished , καὶkaiyet μὴvvv θανατούμενοιthanatoumenoinot killed ;
10ὡςhōs- λυπούμενοιlypoumenoisorrowful , ἀεὶaeialways δὲdeyet χαίροντεςchairontesrejoicing ; ὡςhōs- πτωχοὶptōchoipoor , πολλοὺςpollous{making} many δὲdeyet πλουτίζοντεςploutizontesrich ; ὡςhōs- μηδὲνmēdennothing , ἔχοντεςechonteshaving καὶkaiand yet πάνταpantaeverything . κατέχοντεςkatechontespossessing
11ΤὸTo- στόμαstomavvv ἡμῶνhēmōnWe ἀνέῳγεaneogehave spoken freely πρὸςprosto ὑμᾶςhymasyou , ΚορίνθιοιKorinthioiCorinthians . - καρδίαkardiahearts ἡμῶνhēmōnOur πεπλάτυνταιpeplatyntaiare open wide .
12οὐounot στενοχωρεῖσθεstenochōreisthe- ἐνenvvv ἡμῖνhēminour στενοχωρεῖσθεstenochōreisthe- δὲde[It is] ἐνenvvv τοῖςtois- σπλάγχνοιςsplanchnoisaffection , ὑμῶνhymōnyours ,
13τὴνtēn- δὲde[As] αὐτὴνautēna fair ἀντιμισθίανantimisthianexchange , ὡςhōsas τέκνοιςteknois[my] children : λέγωlegōI ask [you] πλατύνθητεplatynthēteOpen wide καὶkaialso . ὑμεῖςhymeisyour [hearts]
14Μὴ{Do} not γίνεσθεginesthebe ἑτεροζυγοῦντεςheterozygountesunequally yoked ἀπίστοιςapistoiswith unbelievers . τίςtiswhat γὰρgarFor μετοχὴmetochēpartnership [can] δικαιοσύνῃdikaiosynērighteousness καὶkai[have with] ἀνομίᾳanomiawickedness ? τίςtiswhat δὲde- κοινωνίαkoinōniafellowship φωτὶphōti[does] light [have] πρὸςproswith σκότοςskotosdarkness ?
15τίςtisWhat δὲde- συμφώνησιςsymphōnēsisharmony ΧριστῷChristōChrist , πρὸςprosand ΒελιάλBelialBelial ? ēOr τίςtiswhat μερὶςmerishave in common πιστῷpistō{does} a believer μετὰmetawith ἀπίστουapistouan unbeliever ?
16τίςtisWhat δὲde- συγκατάθεσιςsugkatathesisagreement ναῷnaōthe temple ΘεοῦTheouof God μετὰmeta[can exist] between εἰδώλωνeidōlōn[and] idols ? ὑμεῖςhymeisyour [hearts] γὰρgarFor ναὸςnaos[the] temple ΘεοῦTheouGod . ἔστηestē[and] stood [there] . ζῶντοςzōntosof [the] living καθὼςkathōsAs εἶπενeipenhas said : ho- ΘεὸςTheosGod ὅτιhoti- ἘνοικήσωEnoikēsō“ I will dwell ἐνenwith αὐτοῖςautoisthem καὶkaiand ἐμπεριπατήσω*emperipatēsōwalk among [them] , καὶkaiand ἔσομαιesomaiI will be αὐτῶνautōntheir ΘεόςTheosGod , καὶkaiand αὐτοὶautoithey ἔσονταίesontaiwill be μοιmoiMy λαόςlaospeople .”
17ΔιὸDio“ Therefore ἐξέλθητεexelthēteyou leave ἐκekfrom μέσουmesou. . . αὐτῶνautōnamong them καὶkaiand ἀφορίσθητεaphoristhētebe separate , λέγειlegeisays ΚύριοςKyrios[the] Lord . καὶkai- ἀκαθάρτουakathartouunclean {thing} , μὴno ἅπτεσθεhaptestheTouch κἀγὼkagōand I εἰσδέξομαιeisdexomaiwill receive ὑμᾶςhymasyou .”
18ΚαὶKaiAnd : ἜσομαιEsomai“ I will be ὑμῖνhyminto you , εἰςeis- ΠατέραPateraa Father καὶkaiand ὑμεῖςhymeisyou ἔσεσθέesesthewill be μοιmoiMy εἰςeis- υἱοὺςhuioussons καὶkaiand θυγατέραςthygaterasdaughters , λέγειlegeisays ΚύριοςKyrios[the] Lord ΠαντοκράτωρPantokratōrAlmighty . ”
