15καὶkaiand λέγωνlegōnHe said , ὅτιhoti- ΠεπλήρωταιPeplērōtaiis fulfilled , ” ho“ The καιρὸςkairostime καὶkai- ἤγγικενēngikenis near . the βασιλείαbasileiakingdom τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God μετανοεῖτεmetanoeiteRepent καὶkaiand πιστεύετεpisteuetebelieve ἐνenin τῷthe εὐαγγελίῳeuangeliōgospel ! ”
16περιπατῶνperipatōnwalking δὲdebut παρὰparabeside τὴνtēnthe θάλασσανthalassanSea τῆςtēs- ΓαλιλαίαςGalilaiasof Galilee , εἶδεeidesaw ΣίμωναSimōnaSimon καὶkaiand ἈνδρέανAndreanAndrew . τὸνton- ἀδελφὸνadelphonbrother αὐτοῦautouhis τοῦtou- ΣίμωνοςSimōnos[his] βάλλονταςballontasputting ἀμφίβληστρονamphiblēstrona net ἐνeninto τῇthe θαλάσσῃthalassēsea , ἦσανēsanthey were γὰρgarfor ἁλιεῖςhalieisfishermen .

18καὶkaiAnd εὐθέωςeutheōsat once . ἀφέντεςaphentesthey left τὰta[their] δίκτυαdiktyanets αὐτῶνautōntheir ἠκολούθησανēkolouthēsan[and] followed αὐτῷautōHim .
19ΚαὶKai- προβὰςprobasGoing on ἐκεῖθενekeithenthat area . ὀλίγονoligona little [farther] , εἶδενeidenHe saw ἸάκωβονIakōbonJames τὸνton[son] τοῦtou- ΖεβεδαίουZebedaiouof Zebedee καὶkaiand ἸωάννηνIōannēnJohn . τὸνton- ἀδελφὸνadelphonbrother αὐτοῦautouhis καὶkaiand αὐτοὺςautousThey ἐνen[were] in τῷa πλοίῳploiōboat , καταρτίζονταςkatartizontasmending τὰta[their] δίκτυαdiktyanets .
20καὶkai- εὐθέωςeutheōsat once . ἐκάλεσενekalesen[Jesus] called αὐτούςautousthem , καὶkaiand ἀφέντεςaphentesthey left τὸνton- πατέραpaterafather αὐτῶνautōntheir ΖεβεδαῖονZebedaionZebedee ἐνenin τῷthe πλοίῳploiōboat μετὰmetawith τῶνtōnthe μισθωτῶνmisthōtōnhired men ἀπῆλθονapēlthon[and] followed ὀπίσωopisō. . . αὐτοῦautouHim .
21ΚαὶKaiThen εἰσπορεύονταιeisporeuontai[Jesus and His companions] went εἰςeisto Καπερναούμ·kapernaoumCapernaum . καὶkaiand εὐθέωςeutheōsat once . τοῖςtoison the σάββασινsabbasinSabbath εἰσελθὼνeiselthōn[Jesus] entered εἰςeis. . . τὴνtēnthe συναγωγὴνsynagōgēnsynagogue ἐδίδασκε.edidaskeHe taught
22καὶkai- ἐξεπλήσσοντοexeplēssonto[The people] were astonished ἐπὶepiat τῇ- διδαχῇdidachēteaching , αὐτοῦautouHis ἦνēnvvv γὰρgarbecause διδάσκωνdidaskōnHe taught αὐτοὺςautous- ὡςhōsas ἐξουσίανexousianauthority , ἔχωνechōnone who had καὶkaiand οὐχouchnot ὡςhōsas οἱhoithe γραμματεῖςgrammateisscribes .
23ΚαὶKai- ἦνēn- ἦνēn- τῇthe συναγωγῇsynagōgēsynagogue : αὐτῶνautōn- ἄνθρωποςanthrōposa man ἐνenwith πνεύματιpneumatispirit ἀκαθάρτῳakathartōan unclean καὶkai- ἀνέκραξεanekraxeHe cried out
24λέγωνlegōn- ἜαEa“ Ha ! ΤίTi“ What ἡμῖνhēminwith us , καὶkai- σοίsoido You [ want ] ἸησοῦIēsouJesus ΝαζαρηνέNazarēneof Nazareth ? ἦλθεςēlthesHave You come ἀπολέσαιapolesaito destroy ἡμᾶςhēmasus ? οἶδάoidaI know σεseYou τίςtiswho εἶeiare — hothe ἍγιοςHagiosHoly [One] τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ! ”
25ΚαὶKaiBut ἐπετίμησενepetimēsenrebuked αὐτῷautō[the spirit] . ho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus ‹λέγων›legōnHe said . ΦιμώθητιPhimōthēti“ Be silent ! ” καὶkai“ - ἔξελθεexeltheCome ἐξexout of αὐτοῦautouhim ! ”
26καὶkaiAt this , σπαράξανsparaxanthrew [the man] into convulsions αὐτὸνauton. . . τὸto- πνεῦμαpneumaspirit τὸto- ἀκάθαρτονakathartonunclean καὶkaiAt this , κράξανkraxanthrew [the man] into convulsions φωνῇphōnēwith a loud shriek μεγάλῃmegalē. . . . ἐξῆλθενexēlthen[and] came ἐξexout αὐτοῦautou-
27καὶkai- ἐθαμβήθησανethambēthēsanwere amazed ΠάντεςPantes“ Everyone ὥστεhōsteConsequently , ‹συζητεῖνsyzēteinbegan to ask πρὸςprosvvv ἑαυτοὺς›heautousone another λέγονταςlegontas- , ΤίTi“ What ἐστιestiis τοῦτοtoutothis ? τίςtiswho the διδαχὴdidachēteaching the καινήkainēA new αὐτῇautēher , ὅτιhotibecause κατ’kat’with ἐξουσίανexousianauthority ! καὶkaieven τοῖςtoisthe πνεύμασιpneumasispirits , τοῖςtois- ἀκαθάρτοιςakathartoisunclean ἐπιτάσσειepitasseiHe commands καὶkaieven ὑπακούουσινhypakouousinthey obey αὐτῷautōHim ! ”
28καὶkaiAnd ἐξῆλθενexēlthenspread the ἀκοὴakoēnews αὐτοῦautouabout [Jesus] εὐθὺςeuthysquickly πανταχοῦpantachouthrough εἰςeis. . . ὅληνholēnwhole τὴνtēnthe περίχωρονperichōronregion τῆςtēs- ΓαλιλαίαςGalilaiasof Galilee .
29ΚαὶKaiAs soon as εὐθέωςeutheōsat once . ἐκek. . . τῆςtēsthe συναγωγῆςsynagōgēssynagogue , ἐξελθόντεςexelthontes[Jesus and His companions] had left ἦλθονēlthonthey went εἰςeisto τὴνtēnthe οἰκίανoikianhome ΣίμωνοςSimōnosof Simon καὶkaiand ἈνδρέουAndreouAndrew . μετὰmetawith ἸακώβουIakōbouJames καὶkaiand ἸωάννουIōannouJohn
30- δὲde- πενθερὰpentheramother-in-law ΣίμωνοςSimōnosSimon’s κατέκειτοkatekeitowas sick in bed πυρέσσουσαpyressousawith a fever , καὶkaiand εὐθέωςeutheōsat once . λέγουσινlegousinthey promptly told αὐτῷautō[Jesus] περὶperiabout αὐτῆςautēsher .
31καὶkaiSo προσελθὼνproselthōnHe went to [her] , ἤγειρενēgeirenand helped her up αὐτὴνautēn. . . . κρατήσαςkratēsastook τῆςtēsher χειρόςcheiros[by the] hand , αὐτῆςautēsher . καὶkaiSo ἀφῆκενaphēkenleft αὐτὴνautēnher , hoThe πυρετόςpyretosfever εὐθέωςeutheōsat once . καὶkai- διηκόνειdiēkoneishe began to serve αὐτοῖςautoisthem .

33καὶkaiand ἦνēnvvv the πόλιςpolistown ὅληholēwhole ἐπισυνηγμένηepisynēgmenēgathered πρὸςprosat τὴνtēnthe θύρανthyrandoor .
34καὶkaiAnd ἐθεράπευσεetherapeuse[Jesus] healed πολλοὺςpollousmany κακῶςkakōsill ἔχονταςechontaswho were ποικίλαιςpoikilaiswith various νόσοιςnosoisdiseases καὶkaiand δαιμόνιαdaimoniademons . πολλὰpollamany ἐξέβαλε,exebaledrove out καὶkaiBut οὐκoukvvv ἤφιεephieHe would not allow λαλεῖνlaleinto speak , τὰtathe δαιμόνιαdaimoniademons ὅτιhotibecause ᾔδεισανēdeisanthey knew αὐτόνautonwho He was . 35ΚαὶKai- πρωῒprōiEarly in the morning , ἔννυχαennychastill dark , λίανlianwhile it was ἀναστὰςanastas[Jesus] got up ἔξελθεexeltheCome καὶkai“ - ἀπῆλθενapēlthen. . . εἰςeisto ἔρημονerēmona solitary τόπονtoponplace κἀκεῖkakei. . . προσηύχετοprosēuchetoto pray .
36καὶkai- κατεδίωξανkatedioxanwent to look for αὐτὸνautonHim , ho- ΣίμωνSimōnSimon καὶkaiand οἱhoihis companions μετ’met’. . . αὐτοῦautou. . .
37καὶkaiand εὑρόντεςheurontesthey could not find αὐτὸνautonHim , λέγουσινlegousinthey said αὐτῷautō. . . , ὅτιhoti- ΠάντεςPantes“ Everyone σεseYou ! ” ζητοῦσι.zetousiis looking for

40καὶkaiand ἔρχεταιerchetaicame πρὸςprosto αὐτὸνauton[Jesus] , λεπρὸςleprosa leper παρακαλῶνparakalōnbegging αὐτὸνauton- καὶkaivvv γονυπετῶνgonypetōnon his knees αὐτὸνauton- καὶkaivvv λέγωνlegōn- αὐτῷautō- : ὅτιhoti- ἘὰνEan“ If θέλῃςthelēsYou are willing , δύνασαίdynasaiYou can μεme. . . . ” καθαρίσαιkatharisaimake me clean
