7ἙκάστῳHekastōto each one δὲdeNow δίδοταιdidotaiis given ἡhēthe φανέρωσιςphanerōsismanifestation τοῦtouof the ΠνεύματοςPneumatosSpirit πρὸςprosfor τὸtothe συμφέρονsympheroncommon good .

8ᾧhōTo one μὲνmen- γὰρgar- διὰdiathrough τοῦtouthe ΠνεύματοςPneumatosSpirit δίδοταιdidotaithere is given λόγοςlogos[the] message σοφίαςsophiasof wisdom , ἄλλῳallōto another δὲde- λόγοςlogos[the] message γνώσεωςgnōseōsof knowledge κατὰkataby τὸtothe αὐτὸautosame ΠνεῦμαPneumaSpirit ,

12ΚαθάπερKathaper- γὰρgar- τὸtoThe σῶμαsōmabody ἕνhena unit , ἐστίestiI have καὶkaithough μέληmelēparts . ἔχειecheiit is composed πολλὰpollaof many πάνταpantathey all δὲdeAnd [although] τὰta. . . μέληmelēparts . τοῦtou[its] σώματοςsōmatos. . . τοῦtou[its] ἘνὼςEnōsof Enosh , πολλὰpollamany , ὄνταontaare ἕνhenone ἐστίestiI have σῶμαsōmabody . οὕτωhoutōso καὶkai[it is] ὁho- ΧριστόςChristoswith Christ .

15ἐὰνeanIf εἴπῃeipēshould say , ὁhothe πούςpousfoot ὍτιHoti“ Because οὐκouknot εἰμὶeimiI am χείρcheira hand , οὐκouknot εἰμὶeimiI am ἐκekbelong τοῦtouto the σώματοςsōmatosbody , ” οὐounot παρὰparathat τοῦτοtouto. . . οὐκouk[ make it any less ] ἔστινestinwould ἐκeka part of τοῦtouthe σώματοςsōmatosbody .

16καὶkaiAnd ἐὰνeanif εἴπῃeipēshould say , τὸtothe οὖςousear ὍτιHoti“ Because οὐκouknot εἰμὶeimiI am ὀφθαλμόςophthalmosan eye , οὐκouknot εἰμὶeimiI am ἐκekbelong τοῦtouto the σώματοςsōmatosbody , ” οὐounot παρὰparathat τοῦτοtouto. . . οὐκouk[ make it any less ] ἔστινestinwould ἐκeka part of τοῦtouthe σώματοςsōmatosbody .

17εἰeiIf ὅλονholonwhole τὸtothe σῶμαsōmabody [were] ὀφθαλμόςophthalmosan eye , ποῦpouwhere ἡhē[would] the ἀκοήakoēsense of hearing [be] ? εἰeiIf ὅλονholon[the] whole [body] ἀκοήakoē[were] an ear , ποῦpouwhere ἡhē[would] the ὄσφρησιςosphrēsissense of smell [be] ?

18Νυνὶ*Nyniin fact , δὲdeBut ὁho- ΘεὸςTheosGod ἔθετοethetohas arranged τὰtathe μέληmelēmembers ἐνenof ἕκαστονhekastonevery αὐτῶνautōnof them , ἓνhenone τῷtōthe σώματιsōmatibody , καθὼςkathōsaccording to ἠθέλησενēthelēsenHis design .

19εἰeiIf δὲde- ἦνēnthey were τὰta- πάνταpantaall ἓνhenone μέλοςmelospart , ποῦpouwhere τὸto[would] the σῶμαsōmabody [be] ?

20νῦνnynAs it is δὲde- πολλὰpolla[there are] many μὲνmen. . . , μέληmelēparts , ἓνhenone δὲdebut σῶμαsōmabody .

21ΟὐOuvvv δύναταιdynataicannot δὲde- ὁhoThe ὀφθαλμὸςophthalmoseye εἰπεῖνeipeinsay τῇtēto the χειρίcheirihand , ΧρείανChreianneed σουsouyou . ” οὐκouknot ἔχωechō“ I do ἢē[Nor can] πάλινpalin. . . ἡhēthe κεφαλὴkephalēhead [say] τοῖςtoisto the ποσί·posifeet , ΧρείανChreianneed ὑμῶνhymōnyou . ” οὐκouknot ἔχωechō“ I do

27ὙμεῖςHymeisyou δέdeNow ἐστεesteare σῶμαsōma[the] body ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ , καὶkaiand μέληmelēa member [of it] . ἐκekeach of you [is] μέρουςmerous. . .
