2καὶkaiSuddenly ἰδοὺidou. . . λεπρὸςleprosa leper ἐλθὼνelthōnwill go προσεκύνειprosekynei[and] knelt before αὐτῷautōHim , λέγωνlegōnsaying , ΚύριεKyrie“ Lord , ἐὰνeanif θέλῃςthelēsYou are willing , δύνασαίdynasaiYou can μεme. . . . ” καθαρίσαιkatharisaimake me clean
3ΚαὶKai- ἐκτείναςekteinas[Jesus] reached out τὴνtēn[His] χεῖραcheirahand ἥψατοhēpsato[and] touched αὐτοῦautou[the man] . ho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus λέγωνlegōnHe said . 4καὶkaiThen λέγειlegeiinstructed αὐτῷautōhim , ho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus ὍραHora“ See that μηδενὶmēdeni. . . . εἴπῃςeipēsyou don’t tell anyone ἀλλὰallaBut ὕπαγεhypagego , σεαυτὸνseautonyourself δεῖξονdeixonshow τῷto the ἱερεῖhiereipriest καὶkaiand προσένεγκεprosenenkepresent the offering τὸtothe δῶρονdōrongift ho- προσέταξενprosetaxenprescribed Μωσῆς,mosesMoses εἰςeisas μαρτύριονmartyriona testimony αὐτοῖςautoisto them . ”
5εἰσελθόντιeiselthonticomes in δὲdeWhen αὐτῷautō- εἰςeis. . . ΚαπερναοὺμkapernaoumCapernaum . προσῆλθενprosēlthencame αὐτῷautō- ἑκατόνταρχοςhekatontarchosa centurion παρακαλῶνparakalōn[and] pleaded αὐτὸνautonwith Him , καὶkai- λέγωνlegōn-

10ἈκούσαςAkousasheard [this] , δὲdeWhen ho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus ἐθαύμασεethaumasemarveled at καὶkaiand εἰπὲeipesay τοῖςtoisto those ἀκολουθοῦσινakolouthousinfollowing [Him] , ἈμὴνAmēn“ Truly λέγωlegōI tell ὑμῖνhyminyou , ΟὐδὲOude“ vvv ἐνenin τῷ- ἸσραὴλIsraēlIsrael τοσαύτηνtosautēn[with] such great πίστινpistinfaith . εὗρονheuronI have not found anyone
11λέγωlegōI tell δὲde- ὑμῖνhyminto you ὅτιhotithat πολλοὶpolloimany ἀπὸapofrom ἀνατολῶνanatolōn[the] east καὶkaiand δυσμῶνdysmōn[the] west ἥξουσινhēxousinwill come καὶkaiand ἀνακλιθήσονταιanaklithēsontaito share the banquet μετὰmetawith ἈβραὰμAbraamAbraham , καὶkai- ἸσαὰκIsaakIsaac , καὶkaiand ἸακὼβIakōbJacob ἐνenin τῇthe βασιλείᾳbasileiakingdom τῶνtōnof οὐρανῶνouranōnheaven .
12οἱhoithe δὲdeBut υἱοὶhuioisons τῆςtēsof the βασιλείαςbasileiaskingdom ἐκβληθήσονταιekblēthēsontaiwill be thrown εἰςeisinto τὸtothe σκότοςskotosdarkness , τὸto- ἐξώτερονexōteronouter ἐκεῖekei[where] there ἔσταιestaiwill be ho- κλαυθμὸςklauthmosweeping καὶkaiand ho- βρυγμὸςbrygmosgnashing τῶνtōn- ὀδόντωνodontōnof teeth . ”
13ΚαὶKaiThen εἶπενeipensaid ho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus τῷto the ἑκατοντάρχῷ·ekatontarkhocenturion , ὝπαγεHypage“ Go ! καὶkaiAnd ὡςhōsAs ἐπίστευσαςepisteusasyou have believed , γενηθήτωgenēthētō[so] will it be done σοιsoifor you . ” καὶkaiAnd ἰάθηiathēwas healed ho- παῖςpaisservant [αὐτοῦ]autouhis ἐνenat τῇ- ὥρᾳhōrahour . ἐκείνῃekeinēthat very

15καὶkaiSo ἥψατοhēpsatoHe touched τῆςtēs- χειρὸςcheiroshand , αὐτῆςautēsher καὶkaiand ἀφῆκενaphēkenleft αὐτὴνautēnher , hothe πυρετόςpyretosfever καὶkaiand ἠγέρθηēgerthēshe got up καὶkaiand διηκόνειdiēkoneibegan to serve αὐτῷautōthem .
16ὈψίαςOpsiasevening δὲdeWhen γενομένηςgenomenēscame , προσήνεγκανprosēnenkanwere brought αὐτῷautōto [Jesus] , δαιμονιζομένουςdaimonizomenouswho were demon-possessed πολλούςpollousmany καὶkaiand ἐξέβαλενexebalenHe drove out τὰtathe πνεύματαpneumataspirits λόγῳlogōwith a word καὶkaiand πάνταςpantasall τοὺςtousthe κακῶςkakōssick . ἔχονταςechontasvvv ἐθεράπευσενetherapeusenhealed
17ὅπωςhopōsThis was πληρωθῇplērōthēto fulfill τὸtowhat ῥηθὲνrhēthenwas spoken διὰdiathrough ἨσαΐουĒsaiouIsaiah τοῦtouthe προφήτουprophētouprophet λέγοντοςlegontos- : ΑὐτὸςAutos. . . τὰςtas- ἀσθενείαςastheneiasinfirmities ἡμῶνhēmōnour ἔλαβεelabeswept over καὶkaiand τὰςtasour νόσουςnosousdiseases .” ἐβάστασενebastasencarried
18ἸδὼνIdōnsaw δὲde[When] ho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus ‹πολλοὺς›pollous[a] large ὄχλουςochlouscrowds περὶperiaround αὐτὸνautonHim , ἐκέλευσενekeleusenHe gave orders ἀπελθεῖνapeltheinto cross εἰςeisto τὸtothe πέρανperanother side [of the sea] .
19ΚαὶKaiAnd προσελθὼνproselthōncame εἷςheisone γραμματεὺςgrammateusof the scribes εἶπενeipen[and] said , αὐτῷautōto Him ΔιδάσκαλεDidaskale“ Teacher , ἀκολουθήσωakolouthēsōI will follow σοιsoiYou ὅπουhopouwherever ἐὰνean- ἀπέρχῃaperchēYou go . ”
20ΚαὶKai- λέγειlegeireplied αὐτῷautō- ho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus ΑἱHai- , ἀλώπεκεςalōpekes“ Foxes φωλεοὺςphōleousdens ἜχουσιEchousi‘ They have καὶkaiand τὰta- πετεινὰpeteinabirds τοῦtouof the οὐρανοῦouranouair [have] κατασκηνώσειςkataskēnōseisnests , ho- δὲdebut ΥἱὸςHuios[the] Son τοῦtou- ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouof Man οὐκoukno ἔχειecheihas ποῦpou[place] τὴνtēn[His] κεφαλὴνkephalēnhead . ” κλίνῃklinēto lay

22Ho- δὲdeBut ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus εἶπενeipenrequested αὐτῷautō- , ἈκολούθειAkolouthei“ Follow μοιmoiMe , καὶkaiand ἄφεςapheslet τοὺςtousthe νεκροὺςnekrousdead θάψαιthapsaibury τοὺςtous- ἑαυτῶνheautōntheir own νεκρούςnekrousdead . ”
23ΚαὶKai[When] ἐμβάντιembantigot into αὐτῷautōHe εἰςeis. . . τὸtothe πλοῖονploionboat , ἠκολούθησανēkolouthēsanfollowed αὐτῷautōHim . οἱhoi- μαθηταὶmathētaidisciples αὐτοῦautouHis
24καὶkaiSuddenly ἰδοὺidou. . . σεισμὸςseismosstorm μέγαςmegasa violent ἐγένετοegenetocame up ἐνenon τῇthe θαλάσσῃthalassēsea , ὥστεhōsteso that τὸtothe πλοῖονploionboat καλύπτεσθαιkalyptesthaiwas engulfed ὑπὸhypoby τῶνtōnthe κυμάτωνkymatōnwaves ; αὐτὸςautos[Jesus] δὲdebut ἐκάθευδε.ekatheudewas sleeping .
25καὶkai- προσελθόντεςproselthontes[The disciples] went οἱhoi- μαθηταὶmathētaidisciples αὐτοῦautouHis ἤγειρανēgeiran[and] woke αὐτὸνautonHim , λέγοντεςlegontessaying , ΚύριεKyrie“ Lord , σῶσονsōsonsave us ! ἡμᾶςhēmasus ἀπολλύμεθαapollymethaWe are perishing ! ”
26ΚαὶKai- λέγειlegei[Jesus] replied αὐτοῖςautois. . . , ΤίTi“ why δειλοίdeiloiso afraid ? ” ἐστεesteare you ὀλιγόπιστοιoligopistoi“ [You] of little faith , ” τότεtoteThen ἐγερθεὶςegertheisHe got up ἐπετίμησεepetimese[and] rebuked τοῖςtoisthe ἀνέμοιςanemoiswinds καὶkaiand τῇthe θαλάσσῃthalassēsea , καὶkaiand ἐγένετοegenetoit was γαλήνηgalēnēcalm . μεγάληmegalēperfectly
27ΟἱHoi- δὲde- ἄνθρωποιanthrōpoi[The] men ἐθαύμασανethaumasanwere amazed λέγοντεςlegontes[and] asked , ΠοταπόςPotapos“ What kind [of man] ἐστινestinis οὗτοςhoutosthis ? ὅτιhoti- καὶkaiEven οἱhoithe ἄνεμοιanemoiwinds καὶkaiand the θάλασσαthalassasea ὑπακούουσινhypakouousinobey αὐτῷautōHim ! ”
28ΚαὶKaiWhen ἘλθόντιElthonti[Jesus] had entered αὐτῷautōHim ! ” εἰςeison τὸtothe πέρανperanother side εἰςeisin τὴνtēnthe χώρανchōranregion τῶνtōnof the ΓεργεσηνῶνgergesenonGadarenes , ὑπήντησανhypēntēsanHe was met by αὐτῷautō. . . δύοdyotwo δαιμονιζόμενοιdaimonizomenoidemon-possessed [men] ἐκekfrom τῶνtōnthe μνημείωνmnēmeiōntombs . ἐξερχόμενοιexerchomenoicoming χαλεποὶchalepoiviolent λίανlian[They were] so ὥστεhōstethat μὴno ἰσχύεινischyeincould τινὰtinaone παρελθεῖνpareltheinpass διὰdia. . . τῆςtēs- ὁδοῦhodouway . ἐκείνηςekeinēsthat

30ἮνĒnwas δὲdeSo μακρὰνmakranIn the distance ἀπ’ap’. . . αὐτῶνautōn. . . ἀγέληagelēherd χοίρωνchoirōnof pigs πολλῶνpollōna large βοσκομένηboskomenēfeeding .
31οἱhoithe δὲdeSo δαίμονεςdaimonesdemons παρεκάλουνparekalounbegged αὐτὸνauton[Jesus] λέγοντεςlegontes- , ΕἰEi“ If ἐκβάλλειςekballeisYou drive us out ἡμᾶςhēmas. . . , ἐπίτρεψόνepitrepsonlet ἡμῖνhēminwith us , ἀπελθεῖνapeltheingo εἰςeis. . . τὴνtēn[His] ἀγέληνagelēnherd τῶνtōn- χοίρωνchoirōnof pigs . ”
32ΚαὶKai- εἶπενeipenHe told αὐτοῖςautoisthem . ὙπάγετεHypagete“ Go ! ” οἱhoi- δὲdeSo ἐξελθόντεςexelthontesthey came out ἀπῆλθονapēlthonand went εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe ἀγέληνagelēnherd τῶνtōn- χοίρωνchoirōnof pigs . ” ΚαὶKai- ἰδοὺidou- ὥρμησενhōrmēsenrushed πᾶσαpasawhole the ἀγέληagelēherd τῶνtōn- χοίρωνchoirōnof pigs . ” κατὰkatadown τοῦtouthe κρημνοῦkrēmnousteep bank εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe θάλασσανthalassansea καὶkaiand ἀπέθανονapethanondied ἐνenin τοῖςtoisthe ὕδασινhydasinwaters .
33ΟἱHoiThose δὲde- βόσκοντεςboskontestending [the pigs] ἔφυγονephygonran off καὶkai. . . ἀπελθόντεςapelthontes. . . εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe πόλινpolintown ἀπήγγειλανapēngeilan[and] reported πάνταpantaall this , καὶkaiincluding τὰtathe [account] τῶνtōnof the δαιμονιζομένωνdaimonizomenōndemon-possessed [men] .
34καὶkaiThen ἰδοὺidou. . . πᾶσαpasawhole the πόλιςpolistown ἐξῆλθενexēlthenwent out εἰςeisto συνάντησινsunantesinmeet τῷ- ἸησοῦIēsouJesus . καὶkaiAnd ἰδόντεςidonteswhen they saw αὐτὸνautonHim , παρεκάλεσανparekalesanthey begged [Him] ὅπωςhopōs- μεταβῇmetabēto leave ἀπὸapo. . . τῶνtōn- ὁρίωνhoriōnregion . αὐτῶνautōntheir
