1וַיְדַבֵּ֥רוַיְדַבֵּרוידברway·ḏab·bêrsaid יְהוָ֖היְהוָהיהוהYah·wehThen the LORD אֶל־אֶל־אל’el-to מֹשֶׁ֥המֹשֶׁהמשהmō·šehMoses לֵּאמֹֽר׃לֵּאמֹֽר׃לאמרlê·mōr. . . ,
2דַּבֵּ֞רדַּבֵּרדברdab·bêr“ Say אֶל־אֶל־אל’el-to בְּנֵ֤יבְּנֵיבניbə·nêthe Israelites יִשְׂרָאֵל֙יִשְׂרָאֵלישראלyiś·rā·’êl. . . לֵאמֹ֔רלֵאמֹרלאמרlê·mōr- , אִשָּׁה֙אִשָּׁהאשה’iš·šāhA woman who כִּ֣יכִּיכיkî‘ - תַזְרִ֔יעַתַזְרִיעַתזריעṯaz·rî·a‘becomes pregnant וְיָלְדָ֖הוְיָלְדָהוילדהwə·yā·lə·ḏāhand gives birth to זָכָ֑רזָכָרזכרzā·ḵāra son וְטָֽמְאָה֙וְטָֽמְאָהוטמאהwə·ṭā·mə·’āhwill be unclean שִׁבְעַ֣תשִׁבְעַתשבעתšiḇ·‘aṯfor seven יָמִ֔יםיָמִיםימיםyā·mîmdays , כִּימֵ֛יכִּימֵיכימיkî·mêas she is during the days נִדַּ֥תנִדַּתנדתnid·daṯof her menstruation דְּוֺתָ֖הּדְּוֺתָהּדותהdə·wō·ṯāh. . . תִּטְמָֽא׃תִּטְמָֽא׃תטמאtiṭ·mā. . . .
3וּבַיּ֖וֹםוּבַיּוֹםוביוםū·ḇay·yō·wmday הַשְּׁמִינִ֑יהַשְּׁמִינִיהשמיניhaš·šə·mî·nîAnd on the eighth יִמּ֖וֹליִמּוֹלימולyim·mō·wlis to be circumcised . בְּשַׂ֥רבְּשַׂרבשרbə·śarthe flesh עָרְלָתֽוֹ׃עָרְלָתֽוֹ׃ערלתו‘ā·rə·lā·ṯōwof [the boy’s] foreskin
4וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥יםוּשְׁלֹשִׁיםושלשיםū·šə·lō·šîmfor thirty-three יוֹם֙יוֹםיוםyō·wmdays וּשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתוּשְׁלֹשֶׁתושלשתū·šə·lō·šeṯ. . . יָמִ֔יםיָמִיםימיםyā·mîm. תֵּשֵׁ֖בתֵּשֵׁבתשבtê·šêḇThe woman shall continue בִּדְמֵ֣יבִּדְמֵיבדמיbiḏ·mêfrom her bleeding טָהֳרָ֑הטָהֳרָהטהרהṭā·ho·rāhin purification בְּכָל־בְּכָל־בכלbə·ḵālanything קֹ֣דֶשׁקֹדֶשׁקדשqō·ḏešsacred לֹֽא־לֹֽא־לאlō-She must not תִגָּ֗עתִגָּעתגעṯig·gā‘touch וְאֶל־וְאֶל־ואלwə·’el-into הַמִּקְדָּשׁ֙הַמִּקְדָּשׁהמקדשham·miq·dāšthe sanctuary לֹ֣אלֹאלאlō. . . תָבֹ֔אתָבֹאתבאṯā·ḇōor go עַד־עַד־עד‘aḏ-until מְלֹ֖אתמְלֹאתמלאתmə·lōṯare complete . יְמֵ֥ייְמֵיימיyə·mêthe days טָהֳרָֽהּ׃טָהֳרָֽהּ׃טהרהṭā·ho·rāhof her purification
5וְאִם־וְאִם־ואםwə·’im-If, however , נְקֵבָ֣הנְקֵבָהנקבהnə·qê·ḇāha daughter , תֵלֵ֔דתֵלֵדתלדṯê·lêḏshe gives birth to וְטָמְאָ֥הוְטָמְאָהוטמאהwə·ṭā·mə·’āh[the woman] will be unclean שְׁבֻעַ֖יִםשְׁבֻעַיִםשבעיםšə·ḇu·‘a·yimfor two weeks כְּנִדָּתָ֑הּכְּנִדָּתָהּכנדתהkə·nid·dā·ṯāhas she is during her menstruation . וְשִׁשִּׁ֥יםוְשִׁשִּׁיםוששיםwə·šiš·šîmfor sixty-six יוֹם֙יוֹםיוםyō·wm. . . וְשֵׁ֣שֶׁתוְשֵׁשֶׁתוששתwə·šê·šeṯ. . . יָמִ֔יםיָמִיםימיםyā·mîmdays . תֵּשֵׁ֖בתֵּשֵׁבתשבtê·šêḇThen she must continue עַל־עַל־על‘al-in דְּמֵ֥ידְּמֵידמיdə·mêfrom her bleeding טָהֳרָֽה׃טָהֳרָֽה׃טהרהṭā·ho·rāhpurification
6וּבִמְלֹ֣את׀וּבִמְלֹאת׀ובמלאתū·ḇim·lōṯare complete , יְמֵ֣ייְמֵיימיyə·mêWhen the days טָהֳרָ֗הּטָהֳרָהּטהרהṭā·ho·rāhof her purification לְבֵן֮לְבֵןלבןlə·ḇênwhether for a son א֣וֹאוֹאו’ōwor לְבַת֒לְבַתלבתlə·ḇaṯfor a daughter , תָּבִ֞יאתָּבִיאתביאtā·ḇîshe is to bring כֶּ֤בֶשׂכֶּבֶשׂכבשke·ḇeślamb בֶּן־בֶּן־בןben-a year-old שְׁנָתוֹ֙שְׁנָתוֹשנתוšə·nā·ṯōw. . . לְעֹלָ֔הלְעֹלָהלעלהlə·‘ō·lāhfor a burnt offering וּבֶן־וּבֶן־ובןū·ḇen-and a young יוֹנָ֥היוֹנָהיונהyō·w·nāhpigeon אוֹ־אוֹ־או’ōw-or תֹ֖רתֹרתרṯōra turtledove לְחַטָּ֑אתלְחַטָּאתלחטאתlə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯfor a sin offering . אֶל־אֶל־אל’el-at פֶּ֥תַחפֶּתַחפתחpe·ṯaḥthe entrance אֹֽהֶל־אֹֽהֶל־אהל’ō·hel-to the Tent מוֹעֵ֖דמוֹעֵדמועדmō·w·‘êḏof Meeting אֶל־אֶל־אל’el-to הַכֹּהֵֽן׃הַכֹּהֵֽן׃הכהןhak·kō·hênthe priest
7וְהִקְרִיב֞וֹוְהִקְרִיבוֹוהקריבוwə·hiq·rî·ḇōwAnd [the priest] will present them לִפְנֵ֤ילִפְנֵילפניlip̄·nêbefore יְהוָה֙יְהוָהיהוהYah·wehthe LORD וְכִפֶּ֣רוְכִפֶּרוכפרwə·ḵip·perand make atonement עָלֶ֔יהָעָלֶיהָעליה‘ā·le·hāfor her ; וְטָהֲרָ֖הוְטָהֲרָהוטהרהwə·ṭā·hă·rāhand she shall be ceremonially cleansed מִמְּקֹ֣רמִמְּקֹרממקרmim·mə·qōrfrom her flow דָּמֶ֑יהָדָּמֶיהָדמיהdā·me·hāof blood . זֹ֤אתזֹאתזאתzōṯThis תּוֹרַת֙תּוֹרַתתורתtō·w·raṯis the law הַיֹּלֶ֔דֶתהַיֹּלֶדֶתהילדתhay·yō·le·ḏeṯfor a woman giving birth , לַזָּכָ֖רלַזָּכָרלזכרlaz·zā·ḵārwhether to a male א֥וֹאוֹאו’ōwor לַנְּקֵבָֽה׃לַנְּקֵבָֽה׃לנקבהlan·nə·qê·ḇāhto a female .
8וְאִם־וְאִם־ואםwə·’im-But if לֹ֨אלֹאלאlōshe cannot תִמְצָ֣אתִמְצָאתמצאṯim·ṣāafford יָדָהּ֮יָדָהּידהyā·ḏāh. . . דֵּ֣ידֵּידיdê. . . שֶׂה֒שֶׂהשהśeha lamb , וְלָקְחָ֣הוְלָקְחָהולקחהwə·lā·qə·ḥāhshe shall bring שְׁתֵּֽי־שְׁתֵּֽי־שתיšə·tê-two תֹרִ֗יםתֹרִיםתריםṯō·rîmturtledoves א֤וֹאוֹאו’ōwor שְׁנֵי֙שְׁנֵישניšə·nêtwo בְּנֵ֣יבְּנֵיבניbə·nêyoung יוֹנָ֔היוֹנָהיונהyō·w·nāhpigeons , אֶחָ֥דאֶחָדאחד’e·ḥāḏone לְעֹלָ֖הלְעֹלָהלעלהlə·‘ō·lāhfor a burnt offering וְאֶחָ֣דוְאֶחָדואחדwə·’e·ḥāḏand the other לְחַטָּ֑אתלְחַטָּאתלחטאתlə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯfor a sin offering . וְכִפֶּ֥רוְכִפֶּרוכפרwə·ḵip·perwill make atonement עָלֶ֛יהָעָלֶיהָעליה‘ā·le·hāfor her , הַכֹּהֵ֖ןהַכֹּהֵןהכהןhak·kō·hênThen the priest וְטָהֵֽרָה׃פוְטָהֵֽרָה׃פוטהרהפwə·ṭā·hê·rāhand she will be clean . ’”
