Revelation 4

1ΜετὰMetaAfter ταῦταtautathis εἶδονeidonI looked καὶkaiand ἰδοὺidousaw θύραthyraa door ἀνεῳγμένηaneogmenestanding open ἐνenin τῷtō- οὐρανῷouranōheaven . καὶkaiAnd ἡhēthe φωνὴphōnēvoice ἡhēthe πρώτηprōtēvvv ἣνhēn- ἤκουσαēkousaI had previously heard ὡςhōslike σάλπιγγοςsalpingosa trumpet λαλούσηςlalousēsspeak μετ’met’to ἐμοῦemoume λέγωνlegōnwas saying , ἈνάβαAnaba“ Come up ὧδεhōdehere , καὶkaiand δείξωdeixōI will show σοιsoiyou ἃhawhat δεῖdeimust γενέσθαιgenesthaihappen μετὰmetaafter ταῦταtautathese things . ”

2καὶkaiand εὐθέωςeutheōsAt once ἐγενόμηνegenomēnI was ἐνenin ΠνεύματιPneumati[the] Spirit , καὶkaiand ἰδοὺidouI saw θρόνοςthronosa throne ἔκειτοekeitostanding ἐνenin τῷtō- οὐρανῷouranōheaven , καὶkai[with] ἐπὶepion τὸνton- θρόνονthronon[it] . καθήμενοςkathēmenosseated there

3ὅμοιοςhomoioslike ὁράσειhoraseilooked λίθῳlithō. . . , ἰάσπιδιiaspidijasper καὶkaiand σαρδίῳsardiōcarnelian καὶkaiand ἶριςirisa rainbow κυκλόθενkyklothenencircled τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone . ὅμοιοςhomoioslike ὅρασιςorasislooked σμαραγδίνων.smaragdinonan emerald

4καὶkaiand κυκλόθενkyklothenencircled τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone . θρόνοιthronoithrones εἴκοσιeikosi[were] twenty-four τέσσαρεςtessares- καὶkaiand ἐπὶepion τοὺςtousthese θρόνουςthronousthrones τοὺςtousthese εἴκοσιeikositwenty-four τέσσαραςtessaras- πρεσβυτέρουςpresbyterouselders καθημένουςkathēmenoussat περιβεβλημένουςperibeblēmenousdressed ἐνenin ἱματίοιςhimatiois- , λευκοῖςleukoiswhite καὶkai[with] ἐπὶepion τὰςtas- κεφαλὰςkephalasheads . αὐτῶνautōntheir στεφάνουςstephanouscrowns χρυσοῦςchrysousgolden

5καὶkai[with] ἐκekFrom τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone ἐκπορεύονταιekporeuontaicame ἀστραπαὶastrapaiflashes of lightning , καὶkaiand φωναὶphōnairumblings , καὶkaiand βρονταίbrontaipeals of thunder . καὶkai- ἑπτὰheptaseven λαμπάδεςlampadestorches πυρὸςpyrosof fire . καιόμεναιkaiomenaiburned ἐνώπιονenōpionBefore τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone ἅhaThese εἰσιeisiare τὰtathe ἑπτὰheptaseven ΠνεύματαPneumataSpirits τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God .

6καὶkaiAnd ἐνώπιονenōpionbefore τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone ὡςhōs[was something] like θάλασσαthalassaa sea ὑαλίνηhyalinēof glass , ὁμοίαhomoia[as clear as] κρυστάλλῳkrystallōcrystal . καὶkai- ἐνenIn μέσῳmesō[the] center τοῦtou- θρόνουthronou- , καὶkai- κύκλῳkyklōaround τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone , τέσσαραtessara[were] four ζῷαzōaliving creatures , γέμονταgemontacovered with ὀφθαλμῶνophthalmōneyes ἔμπροσθενemprosthenin front καὶkaiand ὄπισθενopisthenback .

7καὶkai- τὸtoThe ζῷονzōonliving creature τὸto- πρῶτονprōtonfirst ὅμοιονhomoion[was] like λέοντιleontia lion , καὶkai- τὸtothe δεύτερονdeuteronsecond ζῷονzōon- ὅμοιονhomoionlike μόσχῳmoschōa calf , καὶkai- τὸtothe τρίτονtritonthird ζῷονzōon- ἔχωνechōnhad τὸto- πρόσωπονprosōpona face ὡςhōslike ἀνθρώπουanthrōpoua man , καὶkaiand τὸtothe τέταρτονtetartonfourth ζῷονzōon- ὅμοιονhomoion[was] like ἀετῷaetōan eagle πετομένῳpetomenōin flight .

8καὶkaiAnd τὰtathe τέσσαραtessarafour ζῷαzōaliving creatures ἓνhen. . . καθ’kath’. . . ἓνhen. . . αὐτῶνautōn[of] ἔχωνechōnhad ἀνὰana- πτέρυγαςpterygaswings ἕξhexsix κυκλόθενkyklothenall around καὶkaiand ἔσωθενesōthenwithin . γέμουσινgemousin[and was] covered with ὀφθαλμῶνophthalmōneyes καὶkaiand ἀνάπαυσινanapausinstop οὐκoukvvv ἔχουσινechousinthey never ἡμέραςhēmerasDay καὶkaiand νυκτὸςnyktosnight λέγοντεςlegontessaying : ἍγιοςHagios“ Holy , ἍγιοςHagios“ Holy , ἍγιοςHagios“ Holy , ΚύριοςKyrios[is the] Lord ὁho- ΘεόςTheosGod ὁho- ΠαντοκράτωρPantokratōrAlmighty , ὁhowho ἦνēnwas καὶkaiand ὁho- ὢνōnis καὶkaiand ὁho- ἐρχόμενοςerchomenosis to come !”

9ΚαὶKaiAnd ὅτανhotanwhenever δῶσιdosireceive τὰtathe ζῷαzōaliving creatures δόξανdoxanglory , καὶkai- τιμὴνtimēnhonor , καὶkaiand εὐχαριστίανeucharistianthanks τῷtōto the [One] καθημένῳkathēmenōseated ἐπὶepion τοῦtouthe [One] θρόνουthronouthrone , τῷtōHim who ζῶντιzōntilives εἰςeisvvv τοὺςtousvvv αἰῶναςaiōnasforever τῶνtōn[and] αἰώνωνaiōnōnever .

10πεσοῦνταιpesountaifall down οἱhoithe εἴκοσιeikositwenty-four τέσσαρεςtessares. . . πρεσβύτεροιpresbyteroielders ἐνώπιονenōpionbefore τοῦtouthe [One] καθημένουkathēmenouseated ἐπὶepion τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone , καὶkaiand προσκυνήσουσιproskunesousibow down τῷtōHim who ζῶντιzōntilives εἰςeisvvv τοὺςtousvvv αἰῶναςaiōnasforever τῶνtōn[and] αἰώνωνaiōnōnever . καὶkai- βαλοῦσιbalousithey will throw τοὺςtous- στεφάνουςstephanouscrowns αὐτῶνautōntheir ἐνώπιονenōpionbefore τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone , λέγοντεςlegontessaying :

11ἌξιοςAxios“ Worthy εἶeiare You , ὁho- ΚύριοςKyriosLord καὶkaiand ὁho- ΘεὸςTheosGod , ἡμῶνhēmōnour λαβεῖνlabeinto receive τὴνtēn- δόξανdoxanglory καὶkaiand τὴνtēn- τιμὴνtimēnhonor καὶkaiand τὴνtēn- δύναμινdynaminpower , ὅτιhotifor σὺsyYou ἔκτισαςektisascreated τὰta- πάνταpantaall things ; καὶkai- διὰdiaby τὸto- θέλημάthelēmawill σουsouYour ἦσανēsanthey exist καὶkaiand ἐκτίσθησανektisthēsancame to be . ”
