30τότεtoteAt that time ἌρξονταιArxontai‘ vvv λέγεινlegeinthey will say τοῖςtoisto the ὄρεσι,oresimountains , Πέσετε*Pesete“ Fall ἐφ’eph’on ἡμᾶςhēmasus ! ” ΚαὶKaiand τοῖςtoisto the βουνοῖςbounoishills , ΚαλύψατεKalypsate“ Cover ἡμᾶςhēmasus !”’

31ὍτιHotiFor εἰeiif ἐνen[while] ‹τῷ›tōthe ὑγρῷhygrō[is] green , ξύλῳxylōtree ταῦταtautathese things ποιοῦσινpoiousin[men] do ἐνen[while] ‹τῷ›tōthe ξηρῷxērōdry ? ” τίtiwhat γένηταιgenētaiwill happen

32ἬγοντοĒgontowere also led away δὲde- καὶkaivvv ἕτεροιheteroiothers , δύοdyoTwo κακοῦργοιkakourgoi[who were] criminals , σὺνsynwith αὐτῷautō[Jesus] . ἀναιρεθῆναιanairethēnaito be executed

37καὶkaialso λέγοντεςlegontesthey said , εἶeiare σὺsyYou εἶeiare ὁhothe ΒασιλεὺςBasileusKing τῶνtōnof the ἸουδαίωνIoudaiōnJews , ” σῶσονsōson“ save σεαυτόνseautonYourself ! ”

38ἮνĒnwas [posted] δὲde- καὶkai- ἐπιγραφὴepigraphēan inscription : γεγραμμένηgegrammeniwritten ἐπ’ep’Above αὐτῷautōHim γράμμασινgrammasinwriting ἙλληνικοῖςellinikoisGreek καὶkai- ΡωμαϊκοῖςromaikoisLatin καὶkai- ἙβραϊκοῖςevraikoisHebrew ΟΥΤΟΣ*HOUTOSTHIS [IS] ἐστινestinis ὁhothe ΒασιλεὺςBasileusKing τῶνtōnof the ἸουδαίωνIoudaiōnJews , ”

39ΕἷςHeisOne δὲde- τῶνtōnof the κρεμασθέντωνkremasthentōnwho hung [there] κακούργωνkakourgōncriminals ἐβλασφήμειeblasphēmeiheaped abuse on αὐτόνautonHim . ‹λέγων›legōnhe said . εἶeivvv σὺsy“ Are You εἶeivvv ὁhothe ΧριστόςChristosChrist ? ” σῶσονsōson“ Save σεαυτὸνseautonYourself καὶkaiand ἡμᾶςhēmasus ! ”

40ἈποκριθεὶςApokritheisvvv δὲdeBut ὁhothe ἕτεροςheterosother [one] ἐπετίμαepetimarebuked αὐτῷautōhim , ‹λέγων›legōnhe said . ΟὐδὲOudenot even φοβῇphobēfear σὺsy“ {Do} you τὸνton- ΘεόνTheonGod , ὅτιhotisince ἐνenunder τῷtōthe αὐτῷautōsame κρίματιkrimatijudgment ? εἶeiyou are

54καὶkai- ἡμέραhēmeraDay , ἦνēnIt was παρασκευὴ,paraskeuePreparation σάββατονsabbaton[the] Sabbath ἐπέφωσκε.epephoskewas beginning .

55ΚατακολουθήσασαιKatakolouthēsasaifollowed , δὲdeThen αἱhaiThe γυναῖκεςgynaikeswomen αἵτινεςhaitineswho ἦσανēsanvvv συνεληλυθυῖαιsynelēlythuiaihad come with αὐτῷautō[Jesus] ἐκekfrom τῆςtēs- ΓαλιλαίαςGalilaiasGalilee ἐθεάσαντοetheasanto[and] they saw τὸtothe μνημεῖονmnēmeiontomb καὶkaiand ὡςhōshow ἐτέθηetethēwas placed . τὸto- σῶμαsōmabody αὐτοῦautouHis
