62ΑὐτὸςAutos[Jesus] δὲde- εἰδὼςeidōsKnowing αὐτῶνautōntheir τὰta- διανοήματαdianoēmatathoughts , εἶπενeipensaid αὐτοῖςautoisto them , ΠᾶσαPasa“ Every βασιλείαbasileiakingdom ἐφ’eph’against ἑαυτὴνheautēnitself διαμερισθεῖσαdiameristheisadivided ἐρημοῦταιerēmoutaiwill be laid waste , καὶkaiand οἶκοςoikosa house ἐπὶepidivided against οἶκονoikona house πίπτειpipteiwill fall .

68ἰσχυρὸςischyrosa strong [man] , καθωπλισμένοςkathōplismenosfully armed , φυλάσσῃphylassēguards τὴνtēn- ἑαυτοῦheautouhis αὐλήνaulēnhouse , ἐνenvvv εἰρήνῃeirēnēsecure . ἐστὶestiis τὰta- ὑπάρχονταhyparchontapossessions αὐτοῦautouhis
69ἐπὰνepanwhen δὲdeBut ὁho- ἰσχυρότεροςischyroteros[someone] stronger αὐτοῦautou. . . ἐπελθὼνepelthōnattacks νικήσῃnikēsē[and] overpowers αὐτόνautonhim , τὴνtēn- πανοπλίανpanoplianarmor αὐτοῦautou[the] αἴρειaireihe takes away ἐφ’eph’in ᾗhēwhich ἐπεποίθειepepoithei[the man] trusted , καὶkaiand [then] τὰta- σκῦλαskylaplunder . αὐτοῦautouhis διαδίδωσινdiadidōsinhe divides up
70ὉHoHe who μὴmēnot ὢνōnis μετ’met’with ἐμοῦemouMe κατ’kat’against ἐμοῦemouMe , ἐστι,estiis καὶkaiand ὁhohe who μὴmēvvv συνάγωνsynagōndoes not gather μετ’met’with ἐμοῦemouMe σκορπίζειskorpizeiscatters .
71ὍτανHotanWhen τὸto- ἀκάθαρτονakathartonan unclean πνεῦμαpneumaspirit ἐξέλθῃexelthēcomes out ἀπὸapoof τοῦtou- ἀνθρώπουanthrōpoua man , διέρχεταιdierchetaiit passes δι’di’through ἀνύδρωνanydrōnarid τόπωνtopōnplaces ζητοῦνzētounseeking ἀνάπαυσινanapausinrest καὶkaiand μὴmēvvv εὑρίσκονheuriskondoes not find [it] . λέγειlegeiit says , ὙποστρέψωHypostrepsō‘ I will return εἰςeisto τὸνton- οἶκόνoikonhouse μουmou[the] ὅθενhothenvvv ἐξῆλθονexēlthonI left . ’
72καὶkai- ἐλθὸνelthonOn its return , εὑρίσκειheuriskeiit finds [the house] σεσαρωμένονsesarōmenonswept clean καὶkaiand κεκοσμημένονkekosmēmenonput in order .
73τότεtoteThen πορεύεταιporeuetaiit goes καὶkaiand παραλαμβάνειparalambaneibrings ἑπτάheptaseven ἕτεραheteraother πνεύματαpneumataspirits πονηρότεραponēroteramore wicked ἑαυτοῦheautouthan itself , καὶkaiand εἰσελθόνταeiselthontathey go in κατοικεῖkatoikei[and] dwell ἐκεῖekeithere . καὶkaiAnd γίνεταιginetaiis τὰtathe ἔσχαταeschatafinal [plight] τοῦtou- ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouman ἐκείνουekeinouof that χείροναcheironaworse
