4καὶkaiEven ἐὰνeanif ἑπτάκιςheptakisseven times τῆςtēsin a ἡμέραςhēmerasday , ἁμάρτῃhamartēsins , εἰςeisagainst σὲseyou καὶkaiand ἑπτάκιςheptakisseven times τῆςtēsin a ἡμέραςhēmerasday , ἐπιστρέψῃepistrepsēreturns πρὸςpros. . . σὲse. . . λέγωνlegōnto say , ΜετανοῶMetanoō‘ I repent , ’ ἀφήσειςaphēseisyou must forgive αὐτῷautōhim . ”
5ΚαὶKai- εἰπὼνeipōnHe said οἱhoiThe ἀπόστολοιapostoloiapostles τῷtōto the ΚυρίῳKyriōLord , ΠρόσθεςProsthes“ Increase ἡμῖνhēminour πίστινpistinfaith ! ”
6εἰπὲeipesay δὲdeAnd ὁhothe ΚύριοςKyriosLord ΕἰEi“ If ἔχετεecheteyou have πίστινpistinfaith ὡςhōsthe size κόκκονkokkonvvv σινάπεωςsinapeōsof a mustard seed , ἐλέγετεelegeteyou can say ἂνanvvv τῇtē- συκαμίνῳsykaminōmulberry tree , ταύτῃtautēto this ἘκριζώθητιEkrizōthēti‘ Be uprooted καὶkaiand φυτεύθητιphyteuthētiplanted ἐνenin τῇtēthe θαλάσσῃthalassēsea , ’ καὶkaiand ὑπήκουσενhypēkousenit will obey ἂνanvvv ὑμῖνhyminyou .
7ΤίςTisWhich δὲde- ἐξexof ὑμῶνhymōnyou δοῦλονdoulonservant ἔχωνechōn[whose] ἀροτριῶνταarotriōntaplowing ἢēor ποιμαίνονταpoimainontashepherding ὃςhos- εἰσελθόντιeiselthonticomes in ἐκekfrom τοῦtouin the ἀγροῦagroufield ἐρεῖereiwill say ΕὐθέωςEutheōsat once παρελθὼνparelthōn‘ Come ἀνάπεσεanapese[and] sit down to eat ’ ?
8ἀλλ’all’Instead , οὐχὶouchivvv ἐρεῖereiwon’t he tell αὐτῷautōhim , ἙτοίμασονHetoimason‘ Prepare τίtivvv δειπνήσωdeipnēsōmy meal καὶkaiand περιζωσάμενοςperizōsamenosdress yourself διακόνειdiakoneito serve μοιmoime ἕωςheōswhile φάγωphagōI eat καὶkaiand πίωpiōdrink ; καὶkaiand μετὰmetaafterward ταῦταtauta. . . φάγεσαιphagesaimay eat καὶkaiand πίεσαιpiesaidrink ’? σύsyyou
9μὴmē. . . χάρινcharinthank ἔχειecheiDoes he τῷtōthe δούλῳdoulōservant ἐκείνῳekeinōto that ὅτιhotibecause ἐποίησεepoiesehas done τὰtawhat διαταχθένταdiatachthentahe was told ? οὗhouwhom δοκῶ.doko[the] beam
10οὕτωouto[this] καὶkaiand ὑμεῖςhymeisyou ὅτανhotanwhen ποιήσητεpoiēsēteyou have done πάνταpantaeverything τὰta. . . διαταχθένταdiatachthentacommanded ὑμῖνhyminof you , λέγετεlegeteshould say , ὅτιhoti- ΔοῦλοιDouloiservants ; ἀχρεῖοίachreioiunworthy ἐσμενesmen‘ We are ὅτιhoti- ὃhovvv ὠφείλομενōpheilomenour duty ποιῆσαιpoiēsai. . . . ’” πεποιήκαμενpepoiēkamenwe have only done
11ΚαὶKaiWhile ἐγένετοegeneto. . . ἐνenvvv τῷtōvvv πορεύεσθαιporeuesthai[Jesus] was on His way αὐτῶνautōnthem ΕἷςHeisone ἸερουσαλὴμIerousalēmJerusalem , καὶkai- αὐτὸςautosHe διήρχετοdiērchetowas passing διὰdiavvv μέσουmesou[the crowd] ΣαμαρείαςSamareiasSamaria καὶkaiand ΓαλιλαίαςGalilaiasGalilee .
12καὶkaiAs εἰσερχομένουeiserchomenouentered αὐτοῦautouHe εἴςeis. . . τιναtinaone of κώμηνkōmēn[the] villages , ἀπήντησανapēntēsanwas met αὐτῷautōto Him — δέκαdekaten λεπροὶleproilepers ἄνδρεςandres. . . . οἳhoi[They] ἔστησανestēsanstood πόρρωθενporrōthenat a distance
13καὶkaiand αὐτοὶautoi- ἦρανēranraised φωνὴνphōnēn[their] voices , λέγοντεςlegontesshouting , ἸησοῦIēsou“ Jesus , ἘπιστάταEpistataMaster , ἐλέησονeleēsonhave mercy on ἡμᾶςhēmasus ! ”
14ΚαὶKaivvv ἰδὼνidōnWhen [Jesus] saw [them] , εἶπενeipenHe said αὐτοῖςautois. . . , ΠορευθέντεςPoreuthentes“ Go , ἐπιδείξατεepideixateshow ἑαυτοὺςheautousyourselves τοῖςtoisto the ἱερεῦσι.iereusipriests . ” καὶkaiAnd ἐγένετοegenetoas ἐνen. . . τῷtō- ὑπάγεινhypageinwere on their way , αὐτοὺςautousthey ἐκαθαρίσθησανekatharisthēsanthey were cleansed .
15ΕἷςHeisone δὲdeWhen ἐξexof αὐτῶνautōnthem ἰδὼνidōnsaw ὅτιhotithat ἰάθηiathēhe was healed , ὑπέστρεψεupestrepsereturned μετὰmetain φωνῆςphōnēsvoice . μεγάληςmegalēsa loud δοξάζωνdoxazōnpraising τὸνton- ΘεόνTheonGod
16καὶkai- ἔπεσενepesenHe fell ἐπὶepivvv πρόσωπονprosōponfacedown παρὰparaat τοὺςtous- πόδαςpodasfeet αὐτοῦautou[Jesus’] εὐχαριστῶνeucharistōnin thanksgiving αὐτῷautōto Him — καὶkaiand αὐτὸςautoshe ἦνēnwas Σαμαρείτης.samareitesSamaritan
17ἈποκριθεὶςApokritheisasked δὲde. . . ὁho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus εἶπενeipen- . Οὐχὶ*Ouchi“ {Were} not οἱhoi[all] δέκαdekaten ἐκαθαρίσθησανekatharisthēsancleansed ? ” οἱhoi[all] δὲde- ἐννέαenneanine ? ποῦpou“ Where then are
18οὐχouch. . . εὑρέθησανheurethēsanWas no one found ὑποστρέψαντεςhypostrepsantesto return δοῦναιdounai[and] give δόξανdoxanglory τῷtō- ΘεῷTheōto God ? ” εἰeiexcept μὴmē. . . ὁho- ἀλλογενὴςallogenēsforeigner οὗτοςhoutosthis
19καὶkaiThen εἶπενeipen[Jesus] said αὐτῷautōto him , ἈναστὰςAnastas“ Rise πορεύουporeuou[and] go ; ἡhē- πίστιςpistisfaith σουsouyour σέσωκέsesokehas healed σεse. . . ! ”
20ἘπερωτηθεὶςEperōtētheisWhen asked δὲde- ὑπὸhypoby τῶνtōnthe ΦαρισαίωνPharisaiōnPharisees πότεpotewhen ἔρχεταιerchetaiwould come , ἡhēthe βασιλείαbasileiakingdom τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ἀπεκρίθηapekrithē[Jesus] replied αὐτοῖςautois. . . καὶkai. . . εἶπενeipen. . . , ΟὐκOuk{will} not ἔρχεταιerchetaicome ἡhē“ The βασιλείαbasileiakingdom τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God μετὰmetawith παρατηρήσεωςparatērēseōsobservable signs .
21οὐδὲoudeNor ἐροῦσινerousinwill [people] say , ἸδοὺIdou‘ Look , ὧδεhōdehere [it is] , ’ ἤēor ἸδοὺIdou‘ Look , ἘκεῖEkei‘ There [it is] . ’ ἰδοὺidouyou see , γὰρgarFor ἡhēthe βασιλείαbasileiakingdom τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ἐντὸςentosmidst . ” ὑμῶνhymōnin your ἐστινestinis
22εἰπὲeipesay δὲdeThen πρὸςprosto τοὺςtousthe μαθητάςmathētasdisciples , ἘλεύσονταιEleusontaiis coming ἡμέραιhēmerai“ [The] time ὅτεhotewhen ἐπιθυμήσετεepithymēseteyou will long μίανmianone τῶνtōnof the ἡμερῶνhēmerōndays τοῦtouof the ΥἱοῦHuiouSon τοῦtou- ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouof Man , ἰδεῖνideinto see καὶkaibut οὐκoukvvv ὄψεσθεopsestheyou will not see [it] .
23καὶkai- ἐροῦσινerousin[People] will tell ὑμῖνhyminyou , ἸδοὺIdou‘ Look , ὧδεhōdehere [He is] ! ’ ἸδοὺIdou‘ Look , ἐκεῖekeithere [He is] ! ’ μὴmē{Do} not ἀπέλθητεapelthētego out μηδὲmēde[or] διώξητεdiōxētechase after [them] .
24ὥσπερhōsperjust as γὰρgarFor ἡhēthe ἀστραπὴastrapēlightning ἀστράπτουσαastraptousaflashes ἐκekfrom τῆςtēs[one end] ὑπ’hyp’- οὐρανὸνouranon- , λάμπειlampei[and] lights up οὕτωςhoutōsso ἔσταιestaiwill be καὶkaiand ὁhothe ΥἱὸςHuiosSon τοῦtou- ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouof Man ἐνenin τῇtē- ἡμέρᾳhēmeraday . αὐτοῦautouHis
25πρῶτονprōtonfirst δὲdeBut δεῖdeimust αὐτὸνautonHe πολλὰpollamany things παθεῖνpatheinsuffer καὶkaiand ἀποδοκιμασθῆναιapodokimasthēnaibe rejected ἀπὸapoby τῆςtēs- γενεᾶςgeneasgeneration . ταύτηςtautēsthis
26ΚαὶKaiJust καθὼςkathōsas ἐγένετοegenetoit was ἐνenin ταῖςtaisthe ἡμέραιςhēmeraisdays ΝῶεNōeof Noah , οὕτωςhoutōsso ἔσταιestaiwill it be καὶkaialso ἐνenin ταῖςtaisthe ἡμέραιςhēmeraisdays τοῦtouof the ΥἱοῦHuiouSon τοῦtouof ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouMan :
27ἤσθιονēsthion[People] were eating ἔπινονepinon[and] drinking , ἐγάμουνegamounmarrying ἐξεγαμίζοντο,exegamizonto[and] being given in marriage , ἄχριachriup to ἧςhēs[the] ἡμέραςhēmerasday εἰσέλθῃeiselthēwill never enter ΝῶεNōeNoah εἰςeis. . . τὴνtēnthe κιβωτόνkibōtonark . καὶkaiThen ἦλθενēlthencame ὁhothe κατακλυσμὸςkataklysmosflood καὶkaiand ἀπώλεσενapōlesendestroyed ἅπανταςhapantaseveryone ὉμοίωςHomoiōsthe same
28καὶkaiand ὃςhos. . . ἐγένετοegenetoIt was ἐνenin ταῖςtaisthe ἡμέραιςhēmeraisdays ΛώτLōtof Lot : ἤσθιονēsthion[People] were eating ἔπινονepinon[and] drinking , ἠγόραζονēgorazonbuying ἐπώλουνepōloun[and] selling , ἐφύτευονephyteuonplanting ᾠκοδόμουνōkodomoun[and] building .
29ᾗhēon the δὲdeBut ἡμέρᾳhēmeraday ἜξελθεExelthe‘ Go out ΛὼτLōtLot ἀπὸapo. . . ΣοδόμωνSodomōnSodom , ἔβρεξεebrexeshe wet πῦρpyrfire καὶkaiand θεῖονtheionsulfur ἀπ’ap’from οὐρανοῦouranouheaven καὶkaiand ἀπώλεσενapōlesendestroyed ἅπανταςhapantaseveryone
30ΚατὰKatajust like that τὰta. . . αὐτὰauta. . . ἔσταιestaiIt will be ᾗhēon the ἡμέρᾳhēmeraday ὁhothe ΥἱὸςHuiosSon τοῦtou- ἀνθρώπουanthrōpouof Man ἀποκαλύπτεταιapokalyptetaiis revealed .
31ἐνenOn ἐκείνῃekeinēthat τῇtē- ἡμέρᾳhēmeraday , ὃςhos. . . ἔσταιestai- ἐπὶepion τοῦtouthe δώματοςdōmatoshousetop καὶkai τὰta- σκεύηskeuēpossessions αὐτοῦautouhis ἐνen. . . τῇtē. . . οἰκίᾳoikia. . . . μὴmē{let} no one καταβάτωkatabatōcome down ἆραιaraito retrieve αὐτάauta. . . καὶkai ὁho. . . ἐνenin ἀγρῷagrō[the] field ὁμοίωςhomoiōsLikewise , μὴmē{let} no one ἐπιστρεψάτωepistrepsatōreturn εἰςeisfor τὰtaanything ὀπίσωopisō[he has] left behind .
33ὃςhosWhoever ἐὰνean. . . ζητήσῃzētēsētries τὴνtēn- ψυχὴνpsychēnlife αὐτοῦautouhis σῶσαιsōsaito save ἀπολέσειapoleseiwill lose αὐτήνautēnit , καὶkaiand ὃςhoswhoever ἐὰνean. . . ἀπολέσῃ*apolesēloses [his life] αὐτήνautēnit . ζωογονήσειzōogonēseiwill preserve αὐτήνautēnit .
34λέγωlegōI tell ὑμῖνhyminyou , ταύτῃtautēon that τῇtē- νυκτὶnyktinight δύοdyotwo [people] ἔσονταιesontaiwill be ἐπὶepiin κλίνηςklinēsbed : μιᾶςmiasone εἷςheisOne παραληφθήσεταιparalephthesetaiwill be taken καὶkaiand ὁhothe ἕτεροςheterosother ἀφεθήσεταιaphethēsetaileft .
35δύοdyoTwo [women] ἔσονταιesontaiwill be ἀλήθουσαιalēthousaigrinding grain ἐπὶepivvv τὸtovvv αὐτόautotogether : μίαmiaOne παραληφθήσεταιparalephthesetaiwill be taken ΚαὶKai- ἡhēthe ἑτέραheteraother ἀφεθήσεταιaphethēsetaileft .”
36δύοdyoTwo [women] ἐνenin τὸtovvv ἀγρῷagrō[the] field εἰςeisfor παραληφθήσεταιparalephthesetaiwill be taken καὶkai- ὁho. . . ἕτεροςheterosother ἀφεθήσεταιaphethēsetaileft .
37καὶkaiand ἀποκριθέντεςapokrithentesthey asked λέγουσινlegousin. . . αὐτῷautō. . . . ΠοῦPou“ Where , ΚύριεKyrieLord ? ” ὉHo- δὲde- εἶπενeipen[Jesus] answered αὐτοῖςautois. . . , ὍπουHopou“ Wherever [there is] τὸtoa σῶμαsōmacarcass , ἐκεῖekeithere ἐπισυναχθήσονταιepisynachthēsontaiwill gather . ” καὶkai- οἱhoithe ἀετοὶaetoivultures
