1ΚαὶKaiThen ἤκουσαēkousaI heard μεγάληςmegalēs[a] loud φωνῆςphōnēsvoice ἐκekfrom τοῦtouthe ναοῦnaoutemple λεγούσηςlegousēssaying τοῖςtoisto the ἑπτὰheptaseven ἀγγέλοιςangeloisangels , ὙπάγετεHypagete“ Go , καὶkai- ἐκχέατεekkheatepour out τὰςtasthe ἑπτὰheptaseven φιάλαςphialasbowls τοῦtou- θυμοῦthymouwrath . ” τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God’s εἰςeison τὴνtēnthe γῆνgēnearth
2καὶkai- ἀπῆλθενapēlthenwent ὁhothe πρῶτοςprōtosfirst [angel] καὶkaiand ἐξέχεεexekheeHe poured out τὴνtēn- φιάληνphialēnbowl αὐτοῦautouhis εἰςeison τὴνtēnthe γῆνgēnearth , καὶkaiand ἐγένετοegenetobroke out ἕλκοςhelkossores κακὸνkakonloathsome , καὶkai- πονηρὸνponēronmalignant ἐπὶepion τοὺςtousthose ἀνθρώπουςanthrōpous. . . τοὺςtouswho ἔχονταςechontashad τὸtothe χάραγμαcharagmamark τοῦtouof the θηρίουthērioubeast καὶkaiand τοὺςtous- προσκυνοῦνταςproskynountasworshiped τῇtē- εἰκόνιeikoniimage . αὐτοῦautouits
3ΚαὶKaiAnd ὁhothe δεύτεροςdeuterossecond [angel] ἄγγελοςangelosan angel ἐξέχεεexekheeHe poured out τὴνtēn- φιάληνphialēnbowl αὐτοῦautouhis εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe θάλασσανthalassansea , καὶkaiand ἐγένετοegenetoit turned to αἷμαhaimablood ὡςhōslike that νεκροῦnekrouof [the] dead , καὶkaiand πᾶσαpasaevery ψυχὴpsychēthing ζῶσαzōsa[even while she] is still alive . ἀπέθανενapethanendied . ἐνenin τῇtēthe θαλάσσῃthalassēsea
4ΚαὶKaiAnd ὁhothe τρίτοςtritosthird [angel] ἐξέχεεexekheeHe poured out τὴνtēn- φιάληνphialēnbowl αὐτοῦautouhis εἰςeisinto τοὺςtousthe ποταμοὺςpotamousrivers καὶkaiand εἰςeisinto τὰςtas- πηγὰςpēgassprings τῶνtōnof ὑδάτωνhydatōnwater , καὶkaiand ἐγένετοegenetothey turned to αἷμαhaimablood .
5ΚαὶKaiAnd ἤκουσαēkousaI heard τοῦtouthe ἀγγέλουangelouangel τῶνtōnof the ὑδάτωνhydatōnwaters λέγοντοςlegontossay : ΔίκαιοςDikaios“ Righteous εἶeiare You , ὁhoO ὢνōnis καὶkaiand ὁho- ἦνēnwas , ὁho- ὍσιοςHosiosHoly One , ὅτιhotibecause ταῦταtauta. . . . ἔκριναςekrinasYou have brought these judgments
6ὅτιhotibecause αἷμαhaima[the] blood ἁγίωνhagiōnof saints καὶkaiand προφητῶνprophētōnprophets , ἐξέχεανexecheanthey have spilled καὶkaiand αἷμαhaima[the] blood αὐτοῖςautoisthem ἔδωκαςedōkasyou did not give [Me] πιεῖν*pieinto drink , ἄξιοίaxioideserve . ” εἰσι.eisiare
7ΚαὶKaiAnd ἤκουσαēkousaI heard τοῦtouthe θυσιαστηρίουthysiastērioualtar λέγοντοςlegontosreply : ΝαίNai“ Yes , ΚύριεKyrieLord ὁho- ΘεόςTheosGod ὁho- ΠαντοκράτωρPantokratōrAlmighty , ἀληθιναὶalēthinaitrue καὶkaiand δίκαιαιdikaiaijust [are] αἱhai- κρίσειςkriseisjudgments . ” σουsouYour
8καὶkaiand ὁho- τέταρτοςtetartosfourth [angel] ἐξέχεεexekheeHe poured out τὴνtēn- φιάληνphialēnbowl αὐτοῦautouhis ἐπὶepion τὸνtonthe ἥλιονhēlionsun , καὶkaiand ἐδόθηedothēit was given power αὐτῷautō. . . καυματίσαιkaumatisaito scorch ἐνenwith πυρίpyrifire . τοὺςtousthe ἀνθρώπουςanthrōpouspeople
9καὶkaiAnd ἐκαυματίσθησανekaumatisthēsanwere scorched οἱhoithe ἄνθρωποιanthrōpoipeople καῦμαkaumaheat , μέγαmegaby intense καὶkaiand ἐβλασφήμησανeblasphēmēsanthey cursed οἱhoithe ἄνθρωποιanthrōpoipeople τὸtothe ὄνομαonomaname τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God , τοῦtouwho ἔχοντοςechontoshad ἐξουσίανexousianauthority ἐπὶepiover τὰςtas- πληγὰςplēgasplagues ; ταύταςtautasthese καὶkaiyet οὐouvvv μετενόησανmetenoēsanthey did not repent δοῦναιdounai[and] give αὐτῷautōHim δόξανdoxanglory .
10ΚαὶKaiAnd ὁhothe πέμπτοςpemptosfifth [angel] ἐξέχεεexekheeHe poured out τὴνtēn- φιάληνphialēnbowl αὐτοῦautouhis ἐπὶepion τὸνtonthe θρόνονthrononthrone τοῦtouof the θηρίουthērioubeast , καὶkaiand ἐγένετοegenetowas ἡhē- βασιλείαbasileiakingdom αὐτοῦautouits ἐσκοτωμένηeskotōmenēplunged into darkness , καὶkaiand ἐμασῶντοemasōnto[men] began to gnaw τὰςtas- γλώσσαςglōssastongues αὐτῶνautōntheir ἐκekin τοῦtou- πόνουponouanguish
11καὶkaiand ἐβλασφήμησανeblasphēmēsancurse τὸνtonthe ΘεὸνTheonGod τοῦtouof οὐρανοῦouranouheaven ἐκekfor τῶνtōn- πόνωνponōnpains αὐτῶνautōntheir καὶkaiand ἐκek- τῶνtōn- ἑλκῶνhelkōnsores ; αὐτῶνautōn- καὶkaiand οὐouvvv μετενόησανmetenoēsanthey did not repent ἐκekof τῶνtōn- ἔργωνergōndeeds . αὐτῶνautōntheir
12ΚαὶKaiAnd ὁhothe ἕκτοςhektossixth [angel] ἐξέχεεexekheeHe poured out τὴνtēn- φιάληνphialēnbowl αὐτοῦautouhis ἐπὶepion τὸνtonthe ποταμὸνpotamonriver ‹τὸν›ton- μέγανmegangreat τὸνton- ΕὐφράτηνEuphratēnEuphrates , καὶkaiand ἐξηράνθηexēranthēwas dried up τὸto- ὕδωρhydōrwater αὐτοῦautouits ἵναhinato ἑτοιμασθῇhetoimasthēprepare ἡhēthe ὁδὸςhodosway τῶνtōnfor the βασιλέωνbasileōnkings τῶνtōn- ἀπὸapoof the ἀνατολῆςanatolēsEast ἡλίουhēliou. . . .
13ΚαὶKaiAnd εἶδονeidonI saw ἐκek[coming] out of τοῦtouthe στόματοςstomatosmouths τοῦtouof the δράκοντοςdrakontosdragon , καὶkai- ἐκek- τοῦtou- στόματοςstomatos- τοῦtouthe θηρίουthērioubeast , καὶkaiand ἐκek- τοῦtou- στόματοςstomatos- τοῦtouthe ψευδοπροφήτουpseudoprophētoufalse prophet . πνεύματαpneumataspirits τρίαtriathree ἀκάθαρταakathartaunclean ὡςhōsthat looked like οἱhoithe βάτραχοιbatrachoifrogs
14εἰσὶeisiare γὰρgar- πνεύματαpneumataspirits δαιμονίωνdaimoniōndemonic ποιοῦνταpoiountathat perform σημεῖαsēmeiasigns ἃha- ἐκπορεύεταιekporeuetai[and] go out ἐπὶepito τοὺςtousthe βασιλεῖςbasileiskings τῆςtēsof the οἰκουμένηςoikoumenēs[earth] , ὅληςholēsall συναγαγεῖνsynagageinto assemble them αὐτοὺςautous. . . εἰςeisfor τὸνton- πόλεμονpolemonbattle τῆςtēson the ἡμέραςhēmerasday ἐκείνηςekeinēs[its] τῆςtēs- μεγάληςmegalēsgreat τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God τοῦtouthe ΠαντοκράτοροςPantokratorosAlmighty .
15ἸδοὺIdou“ Behold , ἔρχομαιerchomaiI am coming ὡςhōslike κλέπτηςkleptēsa thief . μακάριοςmakariosBlessed [is] ὁhothe [one who] γρηγορῶνgrēgorōnremains awake καὶkaiand τηρῶνtērōn- τὰta- ἱμάτιαhimatiaclothed , αὐτοῦautou- ἵναhinaso that μὴmēvvv γυμνὸςgymnosnaked περιπατῇperipatēhe will not go καὶkaiand βλέπωσιbleposithey may not see ; τὴνtēn- ἀσχημοσύνηνaschēmosynēnshame αὐτοῦautou{let} his
16καὶkaiand συνήγαγενsynēgagenthey assembled [the kings] αὐτοὺςautous. . . εἰςeisin τὸνtonthe τόπονtoponplace τὸνtonthat καλούμενονkaloumenonis called ἙβραϊστὶHebraistiin Hebrew Ἁρμαγεδών.armagedonArmageddon .
17ΚαὶKaiThen ὁhothe ἕβδομοςhebdomosseventh [angel] ἐξέχεεexekheeHe poured out τὴνtēn- φιάληνphialēnbowl αὐτοῦautouhis ἐπὶepiinto τὸνtonthe ἀέραaeraair , καὶkaiand ἜξελθεExelthe‘ Go out φωνὴphōnēvoice μεγάληmegalēa loud ἐκek[in] τοῦtouthe ναοῦnaoutemple , τοῦtouthe οὐρανοῦouranouabove . ἀπὸapofrom τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone λέγουσαlegousasaying , Γέγονε.gegoneis
18ΚαὶKaiAnd ἐγένοντοegenontothere were ἀστραπαὶastrapaiflashes of lightning , καὶkaiand φωναὶphōnairumblings , καὶkaiand βρονταίbrontaipeals of thunder , καὶkaiand σεισμὸςseismosearthquake ἐγένετοegeneto- μέγαςmegasa great οἷοςhoiosthe likes of which οὐκoukvvv ἐγένετοegenetohad not occurred ἀφ’aph’since οὗhou- οἱhoi- ἄνθρωποιanthrōpoimen ἐγένοντοegenontothere were ἐπὶepiinto τῆςtēsthe γῆςgēsearth — τηλικοῦτοςtēlikoutosmighty σεισμὸςseismosquake . οὕτωhoutōso μέγαςmegas[was the] great
19καὶkai- ἐγένετοegenetowas [split] ἡhē- πόλιςpoliscity ἡhē- μεγάληmegalēgreat εἰςeisinto τρίαtriathree μέρηmerēparts , καὶkaiand αἱhaithe πόλειςpoleiscities τῶνtōnof the ἐθνῶνethnōnnations ἔπεσανepesancollapsed . καὶkaiAnd ἡhēthe ΒαβυλὼνBabylōnBabylon ἡhēthe μεγάληmegalēgreat ἐμνήσθηemnēsthēremembered ἐνώπιονenōpion- τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouGod δοῦναιdounai[and] gave αὐτῇautēher τὸtothe ποτήριονpotērioncup τοῦtouof the οἴνουoinouwine τοῦtouof the θυμοῦthymoufury τῆςtēs- ὀργῆςorgēswrath . αὐτοῦautouof His
20ΚαὶKaiThen πᾶσαpasaevery νῆσοςnēsosisland ἔφυγε,ephugeand ran away καὶkaiand ὄρηorēmountain οὐχouchno εὑρέθησανheurethēsancould be found .
21καὶkaiAnd χάλαζαchalazahailstones μεγάληmegalēgreat ὡςhōs{weighing} almost ταλαντιαίαtalantiaiaa hundred pounds [each] καταβαίνειkatabaineirained down ἐκekfrom τοῦtou- οὐρανοῦouranouabove . ἐπὶepion τοὺςtous- ἀνθρώπουςanthrōpous[them] καὶkaiAnd ἐβλασφήμησανeblasphēmēsancursed οἱhoi- ἄνθρωποιanthrōpoimen τὸνton- ΘεὸνTheonGod ἐκekfor τῆςtēsthe πληγῆςplēgēsplague τῆςtēsof χαλάζηςchalazēshail , ὅτιhotibecause μεγάληmegalēso horrendous . ἐστὶνestinwas ἡhē- πληγὴplēgē[it] αὐτῇautēher σφόδραsphodravvv
