2εἴγεeigeif-indeed ἠκούσατεēkousateyou have heard about τὴνtēnthe οἰκονομίανoikonomianstewardship τῆςtēs- χάριτοςcharitosgrace τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God’s τῆςtēs- δοθείσηςdotheisēsthat was given μοιmoito me εἰςeisfor ὑμᾶςhymasyou ,
3ὅτιhotithat [is] , κατὰkataby ἀποκάλυψινapokalypsinrevelation , ἐγνώρισέegnorisehas made known μοιmoito me τὸtothe μυστήριονmystērionmystery καθὼςkathōsas προέγραψαproegrapsaI have already written ἐνenvvv ὀλίγῳoligōbriefly .
4πρὸςprosIn ὃhothis, then , δύνασθεdynastheyou will be able to ἀναγινώσκοντεςanaginōskontesreading νοῆσαιnoēsaiunderstand τὴνtēn- σύνεσίνsynesininsight μουmoumy ἐνeninto τῷtōthe μυστηρίῳmystēriōmystery τοῦtou- ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ ,
5ὃhowhich ἑτέραιςheteraisin other γενεαῖςgeneaisgenerations οὐκoukvvv ἐγνωρίσθηegnōristhēwas not made known τοῖςtoisvvv υἱοῖςhuioisvvv τῶνtōnvvv ἀνθρώπωνanthrōpōnto men ὡςhōsas νῦνnynvvv ἀπεκαλύφθηapekalyphthēit has now been revealed τοῖςtoisto ἁγίοιςhagioisholy ἀποστόλοιςapostoloisapostles αὐτοῦautou[God’s] καὶkaiand προφήταιςprophētaisprophets . ἐνenby ΠνεύματιPneumati[the] Spirit
6εἶναιeinaiare τὰtathe ἔθνηethnēGentiles συγκληρονόμαsugkleronomafellow heirs , καὶkai- σύσσωμαsyssōmafellow members of the body , καὶkaiand συμμέτοχαsymmetochafellow partakers τῆςtēsof the ἐπαγγελίαςepangeliaspromise αὐτοῦautou[God’s] ἐνenby τῷtōthe ΧριστῷChristōChrist διὰdia[This mystery is that] through τοῦtouthe εὐαγγελίουeuangeliougospel
7οὗhouof [this gospel] ἐγενόμηνegenomēnvvv διάκονοςdiakonosa servant κατὰkataby τὴνtēnthe δωρεὰνdōreangift τῆςtēs- χάριτοςcharitosgrace , τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God’s τὴνtēnthe δοθεῖσάνdotheisanhad been given , μοιmoime κατὰkatathrough τὴνtēnthe ἐνέργειανenergeianworking τῆςtēsof δυνάμεωςdynameōspower . αὐτοῦautouHis
8ἘμοὶEmoime : τὸtothe ἐλαχιστοτέρῳelachistoterōless than the least πάντωνpantōnof all τῶνtōn- ἁγίωνhagiōn[the] saints , ἐδόθηedothēwas given ἡhē- χάριςcharisgrace αὕτηhautēthis ἐνenin τοῖςtoisto the ἔθνεσινethnesinGentiles εὐαγγελίσασθαιeuangelisasthaito preach τῶνtōn- ἀνεξιχνίαστονanexichniastonunsearchable πλουτῶνploutōnis not rich τοῦtou- ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ ,
9καὶkaiand φωτίσαιphōtisaito illuminate ‹πάντας›pantasfor everyone τίςtis- ἡhēthe οἰκονομίαoikonomiastewardship τοῦtouof [this] μυστηρίουmystērioumystery , τοῦtouwhich ἀποκεκρυμμένουapokekrymmenouwas kept hidden ἀπὸapofor τῶνtōn- αἰώνωνaiōnōnages past ἐνenin τῷtō- ΘεῷTheōGod , τῷtōwho τὰta- πάνταpantaall things . κτίσαντιktisanticreated διὰdiathrough ἸησοῦIēsouJesus ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ ,
10ἵναhina[ His purpose was ] that γνωρισθῇgnōristhēshould be made known νῦνnynnow , ταῖςtaisto the ἀρχαῖςarchaisrulers καὶkaiand ταῖςtais- ἐξουσίαιςexousiaisauthorities ἐνenin τοῖςtoisthe ἐπουρανίοιςepouranioisheavenly realms , διὰdia[and] through τῆςtēs- ἐκκλησίαςekklēsiaschurch , ἡhēthe πολυποίκιλοςpolypoikilosmanifold σοφίαsophiawisdom τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God
11κατὰkataaccording to πρόθεσινprothesinpurpose τῶνtōnvvv αἰώνωνaiōnōn[the] eternal ἣνhēnthat ἐποίησενepoiēsenHe accomplished ἐνenin ΧριστῷChristōChrist ἸησοῦIēsouJesus τῷtō- ΚυρίῳKyriōLord . ἡμῶνhēmōnour
12ἐνenIn ᾧhōHim ἔχομενechomenwe may τὴνtēn- παρρησίανparrēsianwith boldness καὶkaiand τὴνtēn- προσαγωγὴνprosagōgēnenter [ God’s ] presence ἐνen. . . πεποιθήσειpepoithēseiconfidence . διὰdia[and] through πίστεωςpisteōsfaith αὐτοῦautouin Him
13ΔιὸDioSo αἰτοῦμαιaitoumaiI ask [you] μὴmēnot ἐκκακεῖνekkakeinlose heart : ἐνenbecause of ταῖςtais- θλίψεσίthlipsesisufferings μουmoumy ὑπὲρhyperfor ὑμῶνhymōnyou , ἥτιςhētiswhich ἐστίestiI have δόξαdoxaglory . ὑμῶνhymōnyour
14ΤούτουToutou. . . χάρινcharin... for this reason κάμπτωkamptōI bow τὰta- γόνατάgonataknees μουmoumy πρὸςprosbefore τὸνtonthe ΠατέραPateraFather , τοῦtou- ΚυρίουKyriouLord . ἡμῶνhēmōnour ἸησοῦIēsouJesus ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ ,
15ἐξexfrom οὗhouwhom πᾶσαpasaevery πατριὰpatriafamily ἐνenin οὐρανοῖςouranoisheaven καὶkaiand ἐπὶepion γῆςgēsearth ὀνομάζεταιonomazetaiderives its name .
16ἵναhina[I ask] that δώῃdōēmay give ὑμῖνhyminyou κατὰkataout of τὸνtonthe πλουτῶνploutōnis not rich τῆςtēsof δόξηςdoxēsglory αὐτοῦautouHis δυνάμειdynameiwith power κραταιωθῆναιkrataiōthēnaistrengthen διὰdiathrough τοῦtou- ΠνεύματοςPneumatosSpirit αὐτοῦautouHis εἰςeisin τὸνton[your] ἔσωesōinner ἄνθρωπονanthrōponbeing ,
17κατοικῆσαιkatoikēsaimay dwell τὸνtonso that ΧριστὸνChristonChrist διὰdiathrough τῆςtēs- πίστεωςpisteōsfaith . ἐνenin ταῖςtais- καρδίαιςkardiaishearts ὑμῶνhymōnyour
18ἐνenin ἀγάπῃagapēlove , ἐρριζωμένοιerrizōmenoi[Then] you, being rooted καὶkaiand τεθεμελιωμένοιtethemeliōmenoigrounded ἵναhina- ἐξισχύσητεexischysētewill have power , καταλαβέσθαιkatalabesthaito comprehend σὺνsyntogether with πᾶσιpasiall τοῖςtoisthe ἁγίοιςhagioissaints , τίti- τὸtothe πλάτοςplatoswidth καὶkaiand μῆκοςmēkoslength καὶkaiand βάθοςbathosdepth καὶkaiand ὕψοςhypsosheight
19γνῶναίgnōnaito know τεteand τὴνtēn[this love that] ὑπερβάλλουσανhyperballousansurpasses τῆςtēs- γνώσεωςgnōseōsknowledge , ἀγάπηνagapēnof the love τοῦtou- ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ , ἵναhinathat πληρωθῆτεplērōthēteyou may be filled εἰςeiswith πᾶνpanall τὸtothe πλήρωμαplērōmafullness τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God .
20ΤῷTōto [Him] who δὲdeNow δυναμένῳdynamenōis able ὑπὲρhyperso much πάνταpantaall ποιῆσαιpoiēsaito do ὑπερεκπερισσοῦhyperekperissoumore than ὧνhōn- αἰτούμεθαaitoumethawe ask ἢēor νοοῦμενnooumenimagine , κατὰkataaccording to τὴνtēn[His] δύναμινdynaminpower τὴνtēnthat ἐνεργουμένηνenergoumenēn[is] at work ἐνenwithin ἡμῖνhēminus ,
21αὐτῷautōto Him [be] ἡhēthe δόξαdoxaglory ἐνenin τῇtēthe ἐκκλησίᾳekklēsiachurch ἐνenin ΧριστῷChristōChrist ἸησοῦIēsouJesus εἰςeisthroughout πάσαςpasasall τὰςtas- γενεὰςgeneasgenerations , τοῦtouforever αἰῶνοςaiōnos. . . τῶνtōn[and] αἰώνωνaiōnōnever . ἀμήνamēnAmen .
