1ΜετὰMetaAfter ταῦταtautathis ἤκουσαēkousaI heard ὡςhōs[a sound] like φωνὴνphōnēn. . . μεγάληνmegalēn[the] roar ὄχλουochloumultitude πολλοῦpollouof a great ἐνenin τῷtō- οὐρανῷouranōheaven , λεγόντωνlegontōnshouting : ἉλληλουϊάHallēlouia“ Hallelujah ! ἡhē- σωτηρίαsōtēriaSalvation καὶkaiand ἡhē- δόξαdoxaglory καὶkaiand ἡhē- δύναμιςdynamispower τοῦtoubelong to ΘεοῦTheouGod ! ἡμῶνhēmōnour
2ὅτιhotiFor ἀληθιναὶalēthinai[are] true καὶkaiand δίκαιαιdikaiaijust . αἱhai- κρίσειςkriseisjudgments αὐτοῦautouHis ὅτιhotiFor ἔκρινεekrineHe has judged τὴνtēnthe πόρνηνpornēnprostitute τὴνtēn- μεγάληνmegalēngreat ἥτιςhētiswho διέφθειρεdiephtheirecorrupted τὴνtēnthe γῆνgēnearth ἐνenwith τῇtē- πορνείᾳporneiaimmorality . αὐτῆςautēsher καὶkai- ἐξεδίκησεexedikeseHe has avenged τὸtothe αἷμαhaimablood τῶνtōn- δούλωνdoulōnservants αὐτοῦautouof His ἐκek[ that was poured ] out χειρὸςcheiroshand . ” αὐτῆςautēsby her
3ΚαὶKaiAnd δεύτερονdeuterona second time εἴρηκανeirēkanthey called out : ἉλληλουϊάHallēlouia“ Hallelujah ! καὶkai- ὁho- καπνὸςkapnossmoke αὐτῆςautēsHer ἀναβαίνειanabaineirises εἰςeisvvv τοὺςtousvvv αἰῶναςaiōnasforever τῶνtōn[and] αἰώνωνaiōnōnever . ”
4ΚαὶKaiAnd ἔπεσανepesanfell down οἱhoi- εἴκοσιeikositwenty-four καὶkaiand τέσσαρεςtessares. . . πρεσβύτεροιpresbyteroielders καὶkaiand τὰtathe τέσσαραtessarafour ζῷαzōaliving creatures καὶkaiand προσεκύνησανprosekynēsanworshiped τῷtō- ΘεῷTheōGod τῷtōwho καθημένῳkathēmenōsits ἐπὶepion τῷtōthe θρόνῳthronōthrone , λέγοντεςlegontessaying : ἈμήνAmēn“ Amen , ἉλληλουϊάHallēlouiaHallelujah ! ”
5ΚαὶKaiThen φωνὴphōnēa voice ἀπὸapofrom τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone , ἜξελθεExelthe‘ Go out λέγουσαlegousasaying : ΑἰνεῖτεAineite“ Praise τῶνtōn[and] ΘεόνTheonGod . ἡμῶνhēmōnour πάντεςpantesall [you] οἱhoi- δοῦλοιdouloiwho serve αὐτοῦautouHim , ‹καὶ›kaiand οἱhoithose who φοβούμενοιphoboumenoifear αὐτόνautonHim , οἱhoi- μικροὶmikroismall καὶkaiand οἱhoi- μεγάλοιmegaloigreat [alike] ! ”
6ΚαὶKaiAnd ἤκουσαēkousaI heard ὡςhōs[a sound] like φωνὴνphōnēn[the] roar ὄχλουochloumultitude , πολλοῦpollouof a great καὶkai- ὡςhōslike φωνὴνphōnēn[the] rushing ὑδάτωνhydatōnwaters , πολλῶνpollōnof many καὶkaiand ὡςhōslike φωνὴνphōnēnrumbling βροντῶνbrontōnof thunder , ἰσχυρῶνischyrōna mighty λεγόντωνlegontōncrying out : ἉλληλουϊάHallēlouia“ Hallelujah ! ὅτιhotiFor ἐβασίλευσεebasileusereigned ΚύριοςKyriosLord ὁhothe ΘεόςTheosGod ὁhothe ΠαντοκράτωρPantokratōrAlmighty
7χαίρωμενchairōmenLet us rejoice καὶkaiand ἀγαλλιώμεθαagalliomethabe glad καὶkaiand δῶμενdōmenShould we pay [them] τὴνtēnthe δόξανdoxanglory . αὐτῷautōHim ὅτιhotiFor ἦλθενēlthenhas come , ὁhothe γάμοςgamosmarriage τοῦtouof the ἈρνίουArniouLamb καὶkaiand ἡhē- γυνὴgynēbride αὐτοῦautouHis ἡτοίμασενhētoimasenhas made herself ready ἑαυτήνheautēn. . . .
8καὶkai- ἐδόθηedothēwas given αὐτῇautēShe ἵναhina- περιβάληταιperibalētaiclothing of βύσσινονbyssinonfine linen , λαμπρὸνlampronbright καθαρόνkatharon[and] pure . ” ΤὸTothe γὰρgarFor βύσσινονbyssinonfine linen [ she wears ] τὰtathe δικαιώματαdikaiōmatarighteous acts τῶνtōnof the ἁγίωνhagiōnsaints . ἐστίestiI have
9ΚαὶKaiThen λέγειlegei[the angel] told μοιmoime ΓράψονGrapsonto write , ΜακάριοιMakarioi“ Blessed [are] οἱhoithose who εἰςeisto τὸtothe δεῖπνονdeipnonsupper τοῦtouof the γάμουgamoumarriage τοῦtou- ἈρνίουArniouLamb . ” κεκλημένοιkeklēmenoiare invited ΚαὶKaiThen λέγειlegei[the angel] told μοιmoime ΟὗτοιHoutoi“ These οἱhoithe λόγοιlogoiwords ἀληθινοὶalēthinoitrue τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God . ” εἰσι.eisiare
10ΚαὶKai[So] ἔπεσαepesaI fell ἔμπροσθενemprosthenat τῶνtōn- ποδῶνpodōnfeet αὐτοῦautouhis προσκυνῆσαιproskynēsaito worship αὐτῷautōhim . καὶkai[But] λέγειlegeihe told μοιmoime , ὍραHora“ Do not do that μήmē. . . ! σύνδουλόςsyndoulosa fellow servant σούsouwith you εἰμιeimiI am καὶkaiand τῶνtōn- ἀδελφῶνadelphōnbrothers σουsouyour τῶνtōn- ἐχόντωνechontōnrely on τὴνtēnthe μαρτυρίανmartyriantestimony ἸησοῦIēsouof Jesus . τῷtō- ΘεῷTheōGod ! προσκύνησονproskynēsonWorship ἡhēthe γὰρgarFor μαρτυρίαmartyriatestimony τοῦtou- ἸησοῦIēsouof Jesus . ἐστίestiI have τῷtō- πνεῦμαpneumaspirit τῆςtēs- προφητείαςprophēteiasof prophecy . ”
11ΚαὶKaiThen εἶδονeidonI saw τὸνton- οὐρανὸνouranonheaven ἀνεῳγμένονaneōgmenonopen καὶkaiand ἰδοὺidouthere before me was ἵπποςhipposhorse . λευκόςleukosa white καὶkaiAnd ὁhoits rider καθήμενοςkathēmenos. . . ἐπ’ep’. . . αὐτὸνauton. . . καλούμενοςkaloumenosis called ΠιστὸςPistosFaithful καὶkaiand ἈληθινόςAlēthinosTrue . καὶkai- ἐνenWith δικαιοσύνῃdikaiosynērighteousness κρίνειkrineiHe judges καὶkaiand πολεμεῖpolemeiwages war .
12οἱhoi- δὲde- ὀφθαλμοὶophthalmoieyes αὐτοῦautouHe [has] ὡςhōslike φλὸξphloxblazing πυρόςpyrosfire , καὶkaiand ἐπὶepion τὴνtēn- κεφαλὴνkephalēnhead . αὐτοῦautouHis διαδήματαdiadēmataroyal crowns πολλάpollamany ἔχωνechōnHe has ὀνόματαonomatanames γεγραμμέναgegrammenawritten καὶkaiand ὄνομαonomaa name γεγραμμένονgegrammenonwritten [on Him] ὃhothat οὐδεὶςoudeisonly οἶδενoidenknows . εἰei. . . μὴmē. . . αὐτόςautosHe Himself
13καὶkai- περιβεβλημένοςperibeblēmenosHe is dressed in ἱμάτιονhimationa robe βεβαμμένονbebammenondipped ἐνen- αἵματιhaimatiin blood , καὶkaiand κέκληταιkeklētai. . . τὸto- ὄνομαonomaname is αὐτοῦautouHis ὉHOThe ΛόγοςLogosWord τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God .
14ΚαὶKai- τὰtaThe στρατεύματαstrateumataarmies τὰtaof ἐνen- τῷtō- οὐρανῷouranōheaven , ἠκολούθειēkoloutheifollow αὐτῷautōHim ἐπὶepion ἵπποιςhippoishorses . λευκοῖςleukoiswhite ἐνδεδυμένοιendedymenoidressed in βύσσινονbyssinonfine linen , λευκὸνleukonwhite καθαρόνkatharon[and] pure ,
15καὶkaiAnd ἐκekfrom τοῦtou- στόματοςstomatosmouth αὐτοῦautouHis ἐκπορεύεταιekporeuetaiproceeds ῥομφαίαrhomphaiasword ὀξεῖαoxeiaa sharp δίστομοςdistomosdouble-edged ἵναhina- ἐνenwith αὐτῇautē[which] πατάσσῃpatasseto strike down τὰtathe ἔθνηethnēnations , καὶkaiand αὐτὸςautosHe ποιμανεῖpoimaneiwill rule αὐτοὺςautousthem ἐνenwith ῥάβδῳrhabdōscepter . σιδηρᾷsidēraan iron καὶkai- αὐτὸςautosHe πατεῖpateitreads τὴνtēnthe ληνὸνlēnonwinepress τοῦtou. . . οἴνουoinou. . . τοῦtouof the θυμοῦthymoufury τῆςtēsof the ὀργῆςorgēswrath τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God τοῦtouthe ΠαντοκράτοροςPantokratorosAlmighty .
16καὶkaiAnd ἔχειecheiHe has ἐπὶepion τὸto[His] ἱμάτιονhimationrobe καὶkaiand ἐπὶepion τὸνton- μηρὸνmēronthigh : αὐτοῦautouHis ὄνομαonomaa name γεγραμμένονgegrammenonwritten ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣBASILEUSKING ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΝBASILEŌNOF KINGS ΚΑΙKAIAND ΚΥΡΙΟΣKYRIOSLORD ΚΥΡΙΩΝKYRIŌNOF LORDS .
17ΚαὶKaiThen εἶδονeidonI saw ἕναhenaan ἄγγελονangelonangel ἑστῶταhestōtastanding ἐνenin τῷtōthe ἡλίῳhēliōsun , καὶkaiand ἔκραξενekraxenhe cried out ἐνenin φωνῇphōnēvoice μεγάλῃmegalēa loud λέγωνlegōn. . . πᾶσιpasiall τοῖςtoisthe ὀρνέοιςorneoisbirds τοῖςtois- πετομένοιςpetomenoisflying ἐνenvvv μεσουρανήματιmesouranēmatioverhead , ΔεῦτεDeute“ Come , συνάχθητεsynachthētegather together εἰςeisfor τὸtothe δεῖπνονdeipnonsupper τὸto- μέγαmegagreat τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ,
18ἵναhinaso that φάγητεphagēteyou may eat σάρκαςsarkas[the] flesh βασιλέωνbasileōnof kings καὶkaiand σάρκαςsarkas- χιλιάρχωνchiliarchōncommanders καὶkaiand σάρκαςsarkas- ἰσχυρῶνischyrōnmighty [men] , καὶkai- σάρκαςsarkas- ἵππωνhippōnof horses καὶkaiand τῶνtōnriders καθημένωνkathēmenōn. . . ἐπ’ep’. . . αὐτῶνautōn. . . , καὶkai- σάρκαςsarkas- πάντωνpantōnof everyone ἐλευθέρωνeleutherōnfree , τεte. . . καὶkaiand δούλωνdoulōnslave καὶkaiand μικρῶνmikrōnsmall τεte. . . καὶkaiand μεγάλωνmegalōngreat . ”
19ΚαὶKaiThen εἶδονeidonI saw τὸtothe θηρίονthērionbeast καὶkaiand τοὺςtousthe βασιλεῖςbasileiskings τῆςtēsof the γῆςgēsearth καὶkai[with] τὰta- στρατεύματαstrateumataarmies αὐτῶνautōntheir συνηγμέναsynēgmenaassembled ποιῆσαιpoiēsaito wage τὸνton- πόλεμονpolemonwar μετὰmetaagainst τοῦtouthe [One] καθημένουkathēmenouseated ἐπὶepion τοῦtouthe ἵππουhippouhorse , καὶkaiand μετὰmetaagainst τοῦtou- στρατεύματοςstrateumatosarmy . αὐτοῦautouHis
20καὶkaiand ἐπιάσθηepiasthēwas captured τὸtothe θηρίονthērionbeast καὶkai- ὁhothe μετ’met’along with αὐτοῦautou- ψευδοπροφήτηςpseudoprophētēsfalse prophet , ὁhowho ποιήσαςpoiēsashad performed τὰta- σημεῖαsēmeiasigns ἐνώπιονenōpionon its behalf αὐτοῦautou. . . ἐνen- οἷςhois- ἐπλάνησεeplanesedeceiving τοὺςtousthose λαβόνταςlabontaswho had τὸtothe χάραγμαcharagmamark τοῦtouof the θηρίουthērioubeast καὶkaiand τοὺςtous- προσκυνοῦνταςproskynountasworshiped τῇtē- εἰκόνιeikoniimage . αὐτοῦautouits ζῶντεςzōntesalive ἐβλήθησανeblēthēsanwere thrown οἱhoi- δύοdyoBoth [the beast and the false prophet] εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe λίμνηνlimnēnlake τοῦtou- πυρὸςpyrosfiery τὴνtēnthe καιομένηνkaiomenenof burning ἐνen- θείῳtheiōsulfur .
21καὶkaiAnd οἱhoithe λοιποὶloipoirest ἀπεκτάνθησανapektanthēsanwere killed ἐνenwith τῇtēthe ῥομφαίᾳrhomphaiasword τοῦtou- καθημένουkathēmenouseated ἐπὶepion τοῦtouthe ἵππουhippouhorse . τῇtēthat ἐξελθούσῃexelthousēproceeded ἐκekfrom τοῦtou- στόματοςstomatosmouth αὐτοῦautou[the] ΚαὶKaiAnd πάνταpantaall τὰtathe ὄρνεαorneabirds ἐχορτάσθησανechortasthēsangorged themselves ἐκekon τῶνtōn- σαρκῶνsarkōnflesh . αὐτῶνautōntheir
