1ΚαὶKaiThen εἶδονeidonI saw ἄλλονallonanother ἄγγελονangelonangel ἰσχυρὸνischyronmighty καταβαίνονταkatabainontacoming down ἐκekfrom τοῦtou- οὐρανοῦouranouheaven , περιβεβλημένονperibeblēmenonwrapped in νεφέληνnephelēna cloud , καὶkai[with] a ἶριςirisrainbow ἐπὶepiabove τὴνtēn- κεφαλὴνkephalēnhead . αὐτοῦautouHis καὶkai- τὸto- πρόσωπονprosōponface αὐτοῦautouHis ὡςhōs[was] like hothe ἥλιοςhēliossun , καὶkaiand οἱhoi- πόδεςpodeslegs αὐτοῦautouhis ὡςhōs[were] like στῦλοιstyloipillars πυρόςpyrosof fire .
2καὶkai- ἔχωνechōnHe held ἐνenin τῇ- χειρὶcheirihand αὐτοῦautouhis βιβλίονbiblionsmall scroll ἀνεῳγμένονaneōgmenonopen καὶkai- ἔθηκεethekelaid τὸνtonthe πόδαpodafoot αὐτοῦautouhis τὸνton- δεξιὸνdexionright ἐπὶepion τῆςtēsthe θαλάσσηςthalassēssea τὸνton[his] δὲdeand εὐώνυμονeuōnymonleft [foot] ἐπὶepion τῆςtēsthe γῆςgēsland .
3καὶkaiThen ἔκραξεekraxehe cried out φωνῇphōnēin a loud voice μεγάλῃmegalēvvv ὥσπερhōsperlike λέωνleōnof a lion . μυκᾶταιmykataithe roar καὶkaiAnd ὅτεhotewhen ἔκραξενekraxenhe cried out , ἐλάλησανelalēsansounded αἱhaithe ἑπτὰheptaseven βρονταὶbrontaithunders τὰςtas- ἑαυτῶνheautōntheir φωνάςphōnasvoices .
4ΚαὶKai- ὅτεhoteWhen ἐλάλησανelalēsanhad spoken , αἱhaithe ἑπτὰheptaseven βρονταίbrontaithunders ἤμελλονēmellonI was about γράφεινgrapheinto put it in writing . καὶkaiBut ἤκουσαēkousaI heard φωνὴνphōnēna voice ἐκekfrom τοῦtou- οὐρανοῦouranouheaven λέγουσανlegousansaying , ΣφράγισονSphragison“ Seal up hawhat ἐλάλησανelalēsanhave said , αἱhaithe ἑπτὰheptaseven βρονταίbrontaithunders καὶkaiand μὴ{do} not αὐτὰautait {down} . ” γράψῃςgrapsēswrite
5ΚαὶKaiThen hothe ἄγγελοςangelosangel ὃνhon- εἶδονeidonI had seen ἑστῶταhestōtastanding ἐπὶepion τῆςtēsthe θαλάσσηςthalassēssea καὶkaiand ἐπὶepion τῆςtēsthe γῆςgēsland ἦρεereswept them all away τὴνtēn- χεῖραcheirahand αὐτοῦautouhis τὴνtēn- δεξιὰνdexianright εἰςeisto τὸνton- οὐρανόνouranonheaven .
6καὶkaiAnd ὤμοσενōmosenhe swore ἐνenby τῷHim who ζῶντιzōntilives εἰςeisvvv τοὺςtousvvv αἰῶναςaiōnasforever τῶνtōn[and] αἰώνωνaiōnōnever , ὃςhoswho ἔκτισεektise. . . τὸνton- οὐρανὸνouranonheaven καὶkaiand τὰta[everything] ἐνenin αὐτῷautōit , καὶkai- τὴνtēnthe γῆνgēnearth καὶkaiand τὰta[everything] ἐνenin αὐτῇautēit , καὶkaiand τὴνtēnthe θάλασσανthalassansea καὶkaiand τὰta[everything] ἐνenin αὐτῇautēit ὅτιhoti- : ΧρόνοςChronosdelay ! οὐκέτιouketino more ἔσταιestai“ There will be
7ἀλλ’all’But ἐνenin ταῖςtaisthe ἡμέραιςhēmeraisdays τῆςtēsof the φωνῆςphōnēsvoice τοῦtouof the ἑβδόμουhebdomouseventh ἀγγέλουangelouangel , ὅτανhotanwhen μέλλῃmellēhe is about σαλπίζεινsalpizeinto sound [his] trumpet , καὶkai- ἐτελέσθηetelesthēwill be fulfilled , τὸtothe μυστήριονmystērionmystery τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ὡςhōsjust as εὐηγγέλισεeueggeliseHe proclaimed τοὺςtous- δούλουςdoulousservants αὐτοῦautouhis τοὺςtousvvv προφήταςprophētasprophets . ”
8ΚαὶKaiThen the φωνὴphōnēvoice ἣνhēnthat ἤκουσαēkousaI had heard ἐκekfrom τοῦtou- οὐρανοῦouranouheaven πάλινpalinagain , λαλοῦσαlalousaspoke μετ’met’to ἐμοῦemoume καὶkai- λέγουσαlegousasays , ὝπαγεHypage“ Go , λάβεlabetake τὸtothe βιβλιδάριονvivlidarionlittle book τὸtothe ἀνεῳγμένονaneōgmenonopen ἐνenin τῇthe χειρὶcheirihand τοῦtouof the ἀγγέλουangelouangel τοῦtou- ἑστῶτοςhestōtosstanding ἐπὶepion τῆςtēsthe θαλάσσηςthalassēssea καὶkaiand ἐπὶepion τῆςtēsthe γῆςgēsland . ”
9ΚαὶKaiAnd ἀπῆλθαapēlthaI went πρὸςprosto τὸνtonthe ἄγγελονangelonangel λέγωνlegōn[and] said αὐτῷautō- , ΔοῦναίDounai“ Give μοιmoime τὸtothe βιβλιδάριονvivlidarionlittle book καὶkaiand λέγειlegeihe said μοιmoi- . ΛάβεLabe“ Take [it] καὶkaiand κατάφαγεkataphageeat αὐτόautoit , ” ΚαὶKai- πικρανεῖpikraneiIt will make σουsouyour τὴνtēn- κοιλίανkoilianstomach {bitter} , ἀλλ’all’but ἐνenin τῷ- στόματίstomatimouth σουsouyour ἔσταιestaiit will be γλυκὺglykyas sweet ὡςhōsas μέλιmelihoney .”
10ΚαὶKai[So] ἔλαβονelabonI took τὸtothe βιβλίονbiblionsmall scroll ἐκekfrom τῆςtēsthe χειρὸςcheiroshand τοῦtou- ἀγγέλουangelouangel’s καὶkaiand κατέφαγονkatephagonate αὐτόautoit ; καὶkaiand ἦνēnit was ἦνēnit was τῷ- στόματίstomatimouth , μουmoumy ὡςhōsas μέλιmelihoney γλυκύglykyas sweet καὶkaiand ὅτεhotewhen ἔφαγονephagonI had eaten αὐτόautoit , ἐπικράνθηepikranthēturned bitter . - κοιλίαkoiliastomach μουmoumy
11ΚαὶKaiAnd λέγουσίlegousisay μοιmoime , ΔεῖDeimust σεse“ You πάλινpalinagain προφητεῦσαιprophēteusaiprophesy ἐπὶepiabout λαοῖςlaoispeoples καὶkaiand ἔθνεσιethnesiGentiles καὶkaiand γλώσσαιςglōssaistongues καὶkaiand βασιλεῦσιbasileusikings . ” πολλοῖςpolloismany
