ἘρχόμεθαErchomethawill go καὶkaivvv ἡμεῖςhēmeis“ We σὺνsynwith σοίsoiyou , ” ἐξῆλθονexēlthon[So] they went out καὶkaiand ἐνέβησανenebēsangot εἰςeisinto τὸtothe πλοῖονploionboat , εὐθὺςeuthysimmediately καὶkai[but] ἐνen- ἐκείνῃekeinēthat τῇtē- νυκτὶnyktinight . ἐπίασανepiasancaught οὐδένoudennothing
4ΠρωΐαςPrōiasEarly in the morning δὲde- ἤδηēdē. . . γενομένης*genomenēs. . . , ἔστηestēstood ‹ὁ›ho- ἸησοῦςIēsous[He] εἰςeison τὸνtonthe αἰγιαλόνaigialonshore , οὐou{did} not μέντοιmentoibut ᾔδεισανēdeisanrecognize οἱhoithe μαθηταὶmathētaidisciples ὅτιhotithat ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus . ἐστι.estiis
5λέγειlegeicalled out οὖνounSo αὐτοῖςautoisto them , ‹ὁ›ho- ἸησοῦςIēsous[He] ΠαιδίαPaidia“ Children , μήmēvvv τιtiany προσφάγιονprosphagionfish ? ” ἔχετεechetedo you have ἈπεκρίθησανApekrithēsanthey answered αὐτῷautō- . ΟὔOu“ No , ”
6ὉHo- δὲde- εἶπενeipenHe told αὐτοῖςautoisthem , ΒάλετεBalete“ Cast εἰςeison τὰtathe δεξιὰdexiaright μέρηmerēside τοῦtouof the πλοίουploiouboat , τὸtothe δίκτυονdiktyonnet καὶkaiand εὑρήσετεheurēseteyou will find [some] . ” ἔβαλονebalonthey cast [it there] , οὖνounSo καὶkaiand οὐκέτιouketivvv αὐτὸauto. . . ἑλκύσαιhelkysaito haul it in ἴσχυσανischysanthey were unable ἀπὸapobecause of τοῦtouthe πλήθουςplēthousgreat number τῶνtōnof ἰχθύωνichthyōnfish .
7ΛέγειLegeisaid οὖνounAs soon as ὉHothe μαθητὴςmathētēsdisciple ἐκεῖνοςekeinos[the] ὃνhonwhom ἠγάπαēgapaloved ὁho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus τῷtō- ΠέτρῳPetrōto Peter , ὉHothe ΚύριόςKyriosLord ! ” ἐστι.estiis ΣίμωνSimōnSimon οὖνounAs soon as ΠέτροςPetrosPeter ἀκούσαςakousasheard ὅτιhotithat ὁhothe ΚύριόςKyriosLord , ἐστι,estiis τὸνton[his] ἐπενδύτηνependytēnouter garment διεζώσατοdiezōsatohe put on ἦνēnhe had removed it γὰρgar(for γυμνόςgymnos. . . ) καὶkaiand ἔβαλενebalenjumped ἑαυτὸνheauton. . . εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe θάλασσανthalassansea .
8οἱhoiThe δὲde- ἄλλοιalloiother μαθηταὶmathētaidisciples τῷtōin the πλοιαρίῳploiariōboat . ἦλθονēlthoncame [ashore] οὐounot γὰρgarfor ἦσανēsanthey were μακρὰνmakranfar ἀπὸapofrom τῆςtēs- γῆςgēsland , ἀλλ’all’but only , ὃςhoswho ἀπὸapo[some] of πηχῶνpēchōn. . . διακοσίωνdiakosiōna hundred yards σύροντεςsyrontesThey dragged in τὸtothe δίκτυονdiktyonnet τῶνtōnfull of ἰχθύωνichthyōnfish ,

13ἔρχεταιerchetaicame οὖνounvvv ὁho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus καὶkaiand λαμβάνειlambaneitook τὸνtonthe ἄρτονartonbread καὶkaiand δίδωσινdidōsingave [it] αὐτοῖςautoisto them , καὶkaiand τὸtothe ὀψάριονopsarionfish . ὁμοίωςhomoiōs[He did] the same with
14ΤοῦτοToutoThis [was] ἤδηēdēnow τρίτονtritonthe third time [that] ἐφανερώθηephanerōthēappeared ‹ὁ›hoto ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus τοῖςtoisthe μαθηταῖςmathētaisdisciples αὐτοῦautouvvv ἐγερθεὶςegertheisafter He was raised ἐκekfrom νεκρῶνnekrōn[the] dead .

18ἈμὴνAmēnTruly , ἈμὴνAmēnTruly , λέγωlegōI tell σοιsoiyou , ὅτεhotewhen ἦςēsyou were νεώτεροςneōterosyoung , ἐζώννυεςezōnnyesyou dressed σεαυτὸνseautonyourself καὶkaiand περιεπάτειςperiepateiswalked ὅπουhopouwhere ἤθελεςēthelesyou wanted ; ὅτανhotanwhen δὲdebut γηράσῃςgērasēsyou are old , ἐκτενεῖςekteneisyou will stretch out τὰςtas- χεῖράςcheirashands , σουsouyour καὶkaiand ἄλλοςallossomeone else σεseyou ζώσειzōseiwill dress καὶkaiand οἴσειoiseilead [you] ὅπουhopouwhere οὐouvvv θέλειςtheleisyou do not want to go . ”
19τοῦτοtoutothis δὲde- εἰπὲeipesay σημαίνωνsēmainōnto indicate ποίῳpoiōby which θανάτῳthanatō[the kind of] death δοξάσειdoxasei[Peter] would glorify τὸνton- ΘεόνTheonGod . ΚαὶKaiAnd [after] τοῦτοtoutothis , εἰπὼνeipōnHe had said λέγειlegeiHe told αὐτῷautōhim , ἈκολούθειAkolouthei“ Follow μοιmoiMe . ”
20ἘπιστραφεὶςEpistrapheisturned δὲde- ὁho- ΠέτροςPetrosPeter βλέπειblepei[and] saw τὸνtonthe μαθητὴνmathētēndisciple ὃνhonwhom ἠγάπαēgapaloved ὁho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus ἀκολουθοῦνταakolouthountafollowing [them] . ὃςhoswho καὶkai[He was the one] ἀνέπεσενanepesenhad leaned back ἐνenat τῷtōthe δείπνῳdeipnōsupper ἐπὶepivvv τὸtovvv στῆθοςstēthos[against Jesus] αὐτοῦautouvvv καὶkai[He was the one] εἰπὲeipesay ΚύριεKyrie“ Lord , τίςtiswho ἐστινestinis going to ὁho. . . παραδιδούςparadidousbetray σεseYou ? ”

24ΟὗτόςHoutosThis ἐστινestinis ὁhothe μαθητὴςmathētēsdisciple ὁhowho μαρτυρῶνmartyrōntestifies περὶperito τούτωνtoutōnthese things καὶkaiand γράψαςgrapsashas written ταῦταtauta[them down] . καὶkaiAnd οἴδαμενoidamenwe know ὅτιhotithat ἀληθὴςalēthēstrue . ἐστίνestinis ἡhē- μαρτυρίαmartyriatestimony αὐτοῦautouhis
