2καὶkai- παρετήρουνparetērounthey were watching αὐτὸνauton- εἰei{to see} if τοῖςtoison the σάββασιsabbasiSabbath ? ” θεραπεύσειtherapeuseiHe would heal αὐτόνauton- ἵναhinaIn order to κατηγορήσωσινkatēgorēsōsinaccuse αὐτοῦautou[Jesus] ,
3καὶkai- λέγειlegei[Jesus] said τῷtōto the ἀνθρώπῳanthrōpōman τῷtō- ἐξηραμμένηνexērammenēnwithered ἔχοντι»echontiwith τὴνtēnthe χεῖραcheirahand ἜγειρεEgeire“ Stand up εἰςeisvvv τὸtovvv μέσονmesonamong [us] . ”
4καὶkaiAnd λέγειlegeiHe asked αὐτοῖςautoisthem , ἜξεστινExestin“ Which is lawful τοῖςtoison the σάββασινsabbasinSabbath : ἀγαθοποιῆσαιagathopoiēsaito do good ἢēor κακοποιῆσαιkakopoiēsaito do evil , ψυχὴνpsychēnlife σῶσαιsōsaito save ἢēor ἀποκτεῖναιapokteinaito destroy [it] ? ” ΟἱHoi- δὲdeBut ἐσιώπωνesiōpōnthey were silent .
5ΚαὶKai- περιβλεψάμενοςperiblepsamenos[Jesus] looked around at αὐτοὺςautousthem μετ’met’with ὀργῆςorgēsanger συλλυπούμενος*syllypoumenos[and] sorrow ἐπὶepiat τῇtē[their] πωρώσειpōrōseihardness τῆςtēsof καρδίαςkardiasheart . αὐτῶνautōn- λέγειlegeiHe said τῷtōto the ἀνθρώπῳanthrōpōman , ἜκτεινονEkteinon“ Stretch out τὴνtēn- χεῖραcheirahand . ” (σου)souyour καὶkaiand ἐξέτεινε,exeteineSo he stretched [it] out , καὶkaiand ἀποκατεστάθηapokatestathewas restored . ἡhēvvv χεὶρcheir[it] αὐτοῦautouvvv ὑγιὴςhygiēsfree ὃςhos[who] ἡhēvvv ἄλληallēother
6καὶkai- ἐξελθόντεςexelthonteswent out οἱhoithe ΦαρισαῖοιPharisaioiPharisees εὐθέωςeutheōsat once . μετὰmetawith τῶνtōnthe ἩρῳδιανῶνHērōdianōnHerodians συμβούλιονsymboulion. . . ἐποίουνepoiountreated κατ’kat’- αὐτοῦautou- ὅπωςhopōshow αὐτὸνauton[Jesus] . ἀπολέσωσι.apolesosito kill
7ΚαὶKai[So] ὁho- ἸησοῦςIēsousJesus ἀνεχώρησεanekhoresewithdrew μετὰmetawith τῶνtōn- μαθητῶνmathētōndisciples αὐτοῦautouHis πρὸςprosto τὴνtēnthe θάλασσανthalassansea , καὶkai- πολὺpolya large πλῆθοςplēthoscrowd ἀπὸapofrom τῆςtēs- ΓαλιλαίαςGalilaiasGalilee , ἠκολούθησανēkolouthēsan[and] followed αὐτῷautōfor Him
8ΚαὶKai- ἀπὸapo- τῆςtēs- ἸουδαίαςIoudaiasJudea , καὶkai- ἀπὸapo- ἹεροσολύμωνHierosolymōnJerusalem , καὶkai- ἀπὸapo- τῆςtēs- ἸδουμαίαςIdoumaiasIdumea , καὶkai- πέρανperanthe region beyond τοῦtouthe ἸορδάνουIordanouJordan , καὶkaiand οἱhoithe περὶperithe vicinity of ΤύρονTyronTyre καὶkaiand ΣιδῶναSidōnaSidon . πλῆθοςplēthoscrowd πολύpoly[The] large ἀκούσαντεςakousantesheard [about this] , ὅσαhosaas many as ἐποίει*epoieiHe was doing . ἦλθονēlthoncame πρὸςprosto αὐτόνautonHim
9ΚαὶKai- εἰπὲeipesay τοῖςtois- μαθηταῖςmathētaisdisciples αὐτοῦautouHis ἵναhinato πλοιάριονploiarion{have} a boat προσκαρτερῇproskarterēready αὐτῷautōfor Him διὰdia- τὸνtonthe ὄχλονochloncrowd ἵναhinaso that μὴmēvvv θλίβωσινthlibōsinwould not crush αὐτόνautonHim .
10πολλοὺςpollousso many γὰρgarFor ἐθεράπευσενetherapeusenHe had healed ὥστεhōstethat ἐπιπίπτεινepipipteinwere pressing forward αὐτῷautō- ἵναhinato αὐτοῦautouHim . ἅψωνταιhapsōntaitouch ὅσοιhosoiall εἶχονeichonwho had μάστιγαςmastigasdiseases
11καὶkaiAnd when τὰtathe πνεύματαpneumataspirits τὰta- ἀκάθαρταakathartaunclean ὅτανhotan- αὐτὸνautonHim , ἐθεώρουνetheōrounsaw προσέπιπτονprosepiptonthey fell down before αὐτῷautōHim καὶkaiand ἔκραζονekrazoncried out λέγονταlegonta- , ὅτιhoti- ΣὺSy“ You εἶeiare ὁhothe ΥἱὸςHuiosSon τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ! ”
12καὶkaiBut πολλὰpollasternly ἐπετίμαepetimaHe warned αὐτοῖςautoisthem ἵναhinato μὴmēnot φανερὸνphaneronknown . αὐτὸνautonHim ποιήσωσι.poiesosito do [so] ,
13ΚαὶKaiThen ἀναβαίνειanabainei[Jesus] went up εἰςeison τὸtothe ὄροςorosmountain καὶkaiand προσκαλεῖταιproskaleitaicalled for οὓςhousthose ἤθελενēthelenwanted , αὐτόςautosHe καὶkaiand ἀπῆλθονapēlthonthey came πρὸςprosto αὐτόνautonHim .
14καὶkai- ἐποίησεepoiesehas done δώδεκαdōdekatwelve ἵναhinato ὦσιosihearing . ” μετ’met’. . . αὐτοῦautouHim , καὶkai- ἵναhinato ἀποστέλλῃapostellēbe sent out αὐτοὺςautous- κηρύσσεινkērysseinto preach ,
15καὶkaiand ἔχεινecheinto have ἐξουσίανexousianauthority θεραπεύεινtherapeuein[ power ] to cure τὰςtas- νόσουςnosousdiseases . καὶkaiand ἐκβάλλεινekballeinto drive out τὰta- δαιμόνιαdaimoniademons .
17καὶkai- ἸάκωβονIakōbonJames τὸνton[son] τοῦtouof ΖεβεδαίουZebedaiouZebedee καὶkaiand ἸωάννηνIōannēnJohn τὸνton- ἀδελφὸνadelphonbrother τοῦtou- ἸακώβουIakōbouhis καὶkai- ἐπέθηκενepethēkenvvv αὐτοῖςautois( [whom] ὀνόματα*onomataHe named ΒοανηργέςBoanērgesBoanerges , ὅho- ἐστινestinmeaning ΥἱοὶHuioi“ Sons ΒροντῆςBrontēsof Thunder ”),
18καὶkai- ἈνδρέανAndreanAndrew , καὶkai- ΦίλιππονPhilipponPhilip , καὶkai- ΒαρθολομαῖονBartholomaionBartholomew , καὶkai- ΜατθαῖονmatthaionMatthew καὶkai- ΘωμᾶνThōmanThomas , καὶkai- ἸάκωβονIakōbonJames τὸνton[son] τοῦtou- ἉλφαίουHalphaiouof Alphaeus , καὶkai- ΘαδδαῖονThaddaionThaddaeus , καὶkai- ΣίμωναSimōnaSimon τὸνtonthe ΚανανίτηνkananitenZealot ,
19καὶkaiand ἸούδανIoudanJudas ἸσκαριώτηνIskariōtēnIscariot , ὃςhos[who] καὶkai- παρέδωκενparedōkenbetrayed αὐτόνauton[Jesus] .
20ΚαὶKaiThen ἔρχονταιerchontaicame εἰςeis. . . οἶκονoikonhome , καὶkaiand συνέρχεταιsynerchetaigathered , πάλινpalinonce again ὄχλοςochloscrowd ὥστεhōsteso that μὴmēnot δύνασθαιdynasthai[He and His disciples] could αὐτοὺςautousvvv μηδὲmēdeeven ἄρτονarton- . φαγεῖνphageineat
21καὶkai[When] ἀκούσαντεςakousantesheard [about this] , οἱhoivvv παρ’par’His family αὐτοῦautou. . . ἐξῆλθονexēlthonthey went out κρατῆσαιkratēsaito take custody αὐτόνautonof Him , ἔλεγονelegonsaying γὰρgar- ὅτιhoti- , ἘξέστηExestē“ He is out of His mind . ”
22ΚαὶKaiAnd οἱhoithe γραμματεῖςgrammateisscribes οἱhoiwho ἀπὸapofrom ἹεροσολύμωνHierosolymōnJerusalem καταβάντεςkatabanteshad come down ἔλεγονelegonwere saying , ὅτιhoti- ΒεελζεβοὺλBeelzeboulby Beelzebul , ” ἔχειechei“ He is possessed καὶkaiand , ὅτιhoti- ἘνEn“ By τῷtōthe ἄρχοντιarchontiprince τῶνtōnof the δαιμονίωνdaimoniōndemons ἐκβάλλειekballeiHe drives out τὰta- δαιμόνιαdaimoniademons . ”
23ΚαὶKaiSo προσκαλεσάμενοςproskalesamenos[Jesus] called them together αὐτοὺςautous. . . ἐνenin παραβολαῖςparabolaisparables : ἔλεγενelegen[and] began to speak αὐτοῖςautoisto them ΠῶςPōs“ How δύναταιdynataican ΣατανᾶςSatanasSatan ΣατανᾶνSatananSatan ? ἐκβάλλεινekballeindrive out
24καὶkai- ἐὰνeanIf βασιλείαbasileiaa kingdom ἐφ’eph’against ἑαυτὴνheautēnitself , μερισθῇmeristhēis divided οὐouvvv δύναταιdynataicannot σταθῆναιstathēnaistand . ἡhēvvv βασιλείαbasileia[it] ἐκείνηekeinēvvv
25καὶkai- ἐὰνeanIf οἰκίαoikiaa house ἐφ’eph’against ἑαυτὴνheautēnitself , μερισθῇmeristhēis divided οὐouvvv δύναταιdynataicannot σταθῆναιstathēnaistand . ἡhēvvv οἰκίαoikiaa house ἐκείνηekeinēvvv
26καὶkaiAnd εἰeiif ὁho- ΣατανᾶςSatanasSatan ἀνέστηanestērises ἐφ’eph’against ἑαυτὸνheautonhimself , καὶkaiand μεμέρισται,memeristaiis divided οὐouvvv δύναταιdynataihe cannot σταθῆναι*stathēnaistand . ἀλλὰalla- τέλοςtelos[his] end ἔχειecheihas come .
27οὐδεὶςoudeisno one δύναταιdynataican τὰta- σκεύηskeuēpossessions τοῦtouvvv ἰσχυροῦischyroua strong man’s εἰσελθὼνeiselthōnenter εἰςeis. . . τὴνtēn- οἰκίανoikianhouse αὐτοῦautouhis διαρπάσαιdiarpasaito steal ἐὰνeanunless μὴmē. . . πρῶτονprōtonvvv τὸνtonthe ἰσχυρὸνischyronstrong man . δήσῃdēsēhe first ties up καὶkai- τότεtoteThen τὴνtēn- οἰκίανoikianhouse . αὐτοῦautouhis διαρπάσειdiarpaseihe can plunder
28ἈμὴνAmēnTruly λέγωlegōI tell ὑμῖνhyminyou ὅτιhoti- , πάνταpantaall ἀφεθήσεταιaphethēsetaiwill be forgiven τοῖςtoisthe υἱοῖςhuioissons τῶνtōn- ἀνθρώπωνanthrōpōnof men τὰta- ἁμαρτήματαhamartēmatasins καὶkaiand αἱhai- βλασφημίαιblasphēmiaiblasphemies , ὅσαςosashow much ἐὰνeanvvv βλασφημήσωσινblasphēmēsōsinthey utter .
29ὃςhoswhoever δ’d’But ἂνan. . . βλασφημήσῃblasphēmēsēblasphemes εἰςeisagainst τὸtothe ΠνεῦμαPneumaSpirit τὸto- ἍγιονHagionHoly οὐκouk{will} never ἔχειecheibe ἄφεσινaphesinforgiven ; εἰςeis. . . τὸνton. . . αἰῶναaiōna. . . ἀλλ’all’Indeed , ἔνοχόςenochosguilty ἐστινestinhe is αἰωνίουaiōniou[of] eternal κρίσεωςkriseōsof judgment
30ὍτιHoti[ Jesus made this statement ] because ἔλεγονelegonthey were saying , ΠνεῦμαPneumaspirit . ” ἀκάθαρτονakathartonan unclean ἔχειechei“ He has
31ἔρχονταιerchontaicame οὖνountherefore , ἡhē- μήτηρmētērmother αὐτοῦautou- καὶkaiand οἱhoi- ἀδελφοὶadelphoibrothers αὐτοῦautou- καὶkaiand ἔξωexōoutside . ἑστῶτεςhestōtesstanding ἀπέστειλανapesteilanThey sent [someone] in πρὸςprosto αὐτὸνauton- φωνοῦντεςphonountessummon αὐτὸνauton-
32καὶkaiand ἐκάθητοekathētowas sitting περὶperiaround αὐτὸνautonHim . ὄχλοςochlosa crowd εἰπὼνeipōnHe said δὲdeBut αὐτῷautōfor Him ἸδοὺIdou“ Look , ” ἡhē- μήτηρmētērmother σουsou- καὶkaiand οἱhoi- ἀδελφοίadelphoibrothers σουsou- ἔξωexōare outside , ζητοῦσίzetousiis looking for σεseYou . ”
33ΚαὶKaiBut ἀπεκρίθηapekrithē[and] said αὐτοῖςautois- λέγωνlegōn- , ΤίςTis“ Who ἐστινestinare ἡhē- μήτηρmētērmother ‹μου›mouMy ἡhē- οἱhoi- ἀδελφοίadelphoibrothers ? ” ‹μου›mouMy
34καὶkaiand περιβλεψάμενοςperiblepsamenosLooking at κύκλῳkyklōin a circle τοὺςtousthose περὶperiaround αὐτὸνautonHim , καθημένουςkathēmenousseated λέγειlegeiHe said , ἼδεIde“ Here [are] ἡhē- μήτηρmētērmother μουmouMy καὶkaiand οἱhoi- ἀδελφοίadelphoibrothers ! μουmouMy
35ὃςhoswhoever ‹γὰρ›garFor ἂνan. . . ποιήσῃpoiēsēdoes τὸtothe θέλημαthelēmawill τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God οὗτοςhoutos- ἀδελφόςadelphosbrother μουmouMy καὶkaiand ἀδελφὴadelphēsister μουmouMy καὶkaiand μήτηρmētērmother . ” ἐστί.estiis
