2καὶkai- λίανlianVery πρωῒprōiearly τςtsvvv μιᾶςmiasan σαββάτωνsabbatōnweek , ἔρχονταιerchontaithey went ἐπὶepito τὸtothe μνημεῖον*mnēmeiontomb . ἀνατείλαντοςanateilantos. . . , τοῦtou- ἡλίουhēlioujust after sunrise
3καὶkai- ἔλεγονelegonThey were asking πρὸςpros- ἑαυτάςheautasone another , ΤίςTis“ Who ἀποκυλίσειapokyliseiwill roll away ἡμῖνhēmin- τὸνtonthe λίθονlithonstone ἐκekfrom τῆςtēsthe θύραςthyrasentrance τοῦtouof the μνημείουmnēmeioutomb ? ”
4καὶkaiBut ἀναβλέψασαιanablepsasaiwhen they looked up , θεωροῦσινtheōrousinthey saw ὅτιhotithat ἀποκεκύλισται*apokekylistaihad been rolled away , hothe λίθοςlithosstone ἦνēnit was γὰρgareven though μέγαςmegaslarge . σφόδραsphodraextremely
5ΚαὶKaiWhen εἰσελθοῦσαιeiselthousaithey entered εἰςeis. . . τὸtothe μνημεῖονmnēmeiontomb , εἶδονeidonthey saw νεανίσκονneaniskona young man καθήμενονkathēmenonsitting ἐνenon τοῖςtoisthe δεξιοῖςdexioisright side , περιβεβλημένονperibeblēmenondressed in στολὴνstolēnrobe λευκήνleukēna white καὶkaiand ἐξεθαμβήθησανexethambēthēsanthey were alarmed .
6ho- δὲdeBut λέγειlegeihe said αὐταῖςautaisto them , Μὴ“ {Do} not ἐκθαμβεῖσθεekthambeisthebe alarmed . ἸησοῦνIēsounJesus ζητεῖτεzēteiteYou are looking for τὸνtonthe ΝαζαρηνὸνNazarēnonNazarene , τὸνtonwho ἐσταυρωμένονestaurōmenonwas crucified . ἠγέρθηēgerthēHe has risen ! οὐκouknot ἔστινestinHe is ὧδεhōdehere ! ἴδεideSee hothe τόποςtoposplace ὅπουhopouwhere ἔθηκανethēkanthey put αὐτόνautonHim .
7ἀλλ’all’Instead , ὑπάγετεhypagetego , εἴπατεeipatetell τοῖςtois- μαθηταῖςmathētaisdisciples αὐτοῦautouHis καὶkaiand τῷ- ΠέτρῳPetrōPeter ὅτιhoti- , ΠροάγειProagei‘ He is going ahead of ὑμᾶςhymasyou εἰςeisinto τὴνtēn- ΓαλιλαίανGalilaianGalilee . ἐκεῖekeiThere αὐτὸνautonHim , ὄψεσθεopsestheyou will see καθὼςkathōsjust as εἶπενeipenHe told ὑμῖνhyminyou . ’”
8ΚαὶKaiSo ἐξελθοῦσαιexelthousai[the women] left ἔφυγονephygonand ran away , ἀπὸapo. . . τοῦtouthe μνημείουmnēmeioutomb εἶχεeikhewho had δὲde- αὐτὰςautas- τρόμοςtromostrembling καὶkaiand ἔκστασιςekstasisbewildered . καὶkaiAnd οὐδενὶoudeni[a word to anyone] . οὐδὲνouden. . . εἰπὼνeipōnHe said ἐφοβοῦντοephobountoin their fear γάρgarvvv
9ἀναστὰςanastashe got up δὲde- πρωῒprōiEarly πρώτῃprōtē[on the] first [day] σαββάτουsabbatouof the week , ἐφάνηephanēHe appeared πρῶτονprōtonfirst ΜαρίᾳMariato Mary τῇ- ΜαγδαληνῇMagdalēnēMagdalene , ἀφ’aph’from ἧςhēswhom ἐκβεβλήκειekbeblēkeiHe had driven out ἑπτὰheptaseven δαιμόνιαdaimoniademons .
10ἐκείνηekeinēShe πορευθεῖσαporeutheisawent ἀπήγγειλεapeggeileshe explained τοῖςtoisthose μετ’met’with αὐτοῦautouHim , γενομένοιςgenomenoiswho had been πενθοῦσιpenthousiwho were mourning καὶkaiand κλαίουσι.klaiousiweeping .
11κἀκεῖνοιkakeinoiAnd when they ἀκούσαντεςakousantesheard ὅτιhotithat ζῇ[Jesus] was alive καὶkaiand ἐθεάθηetheathēshe had seen Him ὑπ’hyp’. . . αὐτῆςautēs. . . , ἠπίστησανēpistēsanthey did not believe [it] .
12ΜετὰMetaAfter δὲde- ταῦταtauta[this] , δυσὶνdysinto two ἐξexof αὐτῶνautōnthem περιπατοῦσινperipatousinas they walked ἐφανερώθηephanerōthē[Jesus] appeared ἐνenin ἑτέρᾳheteraa different μορφῇmorphēform πορευομένοιςporeuomenoisalong εἰςeisin ἀγρόνagron[the] country .
13κἀκεῖνοιkakeinoiAnd they ἀπελθόντεςapelthonteswent back ἀπήγγειλανapēngeilanand reported [it] τοῖςtoisto the λοιποῖςloipoisrest , οὐδὲoudeeither . ἐκείνοιςekeinoisthem ἐπίστευσανepisteusanbut they did not believe
14ὝστερονHysteronLater , ἀνακειμένοιςanakeimenoiswere eating , αὐτοῖςautoisas they τοῖςtoisto the ἕνδεκαhendekaEleven ἐφανερώθηephanerōthē[Jesus] appeared καὶkaiand ὠνείδισεoneidiserebuked them τὴνtēn- ἀπιστίανapistianunbelief αὐτῶνautōnfor their καὶkaiand τὴνtēn- σκληροκαρδίανsklērokardianhardness of heart , ὅτιhotibecause τοῖςtoisthose θεασαμένοιςtheasamenoiswho had seen αὐτὸνautonHim ἐγηγερμένονegēgermenonafter He had risen . οὐκoukvvv ἐπίστευσανepisteusanthey did not believe
15καὶkaiand εἶπενeipenHe said αὐτοῖςautoisto them , ΠορευθέντεςPoreuthentes“ Go εἰςeisinto τὸνtonthe κόσμονkosmonworld ἅπανταhapantaall κηρύξατεkēryxate[and] preach τὸtothe εὐαγγέλιονeuangeliongospel πάσῃpasēto every τῇ- κτίσειktiseicreature .
16hoWhoever πιστεύσαςpisteusasbelieves καὶkaiand βαπτισθεὶςbaptistheisis baptized σωθήσεταιsōthēsetaiwill be saved , howhoever δὲdebut ἀπιστήσαςapistēsasdoes not believe κατακριθήσεταιkatakrithēsetaiwill be condemned .
17σημεῖαsēmeiasigns δὲdeAnd τοῖςtoisthose πιστεύσασιpisteusasiwho believe : ταῦταtautathese παρακολουθήσειparakolouthēseiwill accompany ἐνenIn τῷ- ὀνόματίonomatiname μουmouMy δαιμόνιαdaimoniademons ; ἐκβαλοῦσι·ekbalousithey will drive out γλώσσαιςglōssaistongues ; λαλήσουσιlalesousithey will speak καιναῖςkainaisin new
18ὄφειςopheissnakes ἀροῦσι·arousithey will lift κἂνkanand if θανάσιμόνthanasimondeadly poison , τιtiany πίωσινpiōsinthey drink οὐouvvv μὴvvv αὐτοὺςautousthem ; βλάψει·blapseiit will not harm ἐπὶepion ἀρρώστουςarrōstous[the] sick , χεῖραςcheiras[their] hands ἐπιθήσουσι,epithesousithey will lay καὶkaiand καλῶςkalōswell . ” ἕξουσινhexousinthey will be made
19Hothe μὲνmen- οὖνoun- ΚύριοςKyriosLord μετὰmetaAfter τὸto- λαλῆσαιlalēsaihad spoken αὐτοῖςautoisto them , ἀνελήφθηanelephtheHe was taken up εἰςeisinto τὸνton- οὐρανὸνouranonheaven καὶkaiand ἐκάθισενekathisensat down ἐκekat δεξιῶνdexiōn[the] right hand τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God .
20ἐκεῖνοιekeinoithey δὲdeAnd ἐξελθόντεςexelthonteswent out ἐκήρυξανekēryxan[and] preached πανταχοῦpantachoueverywhere , τοῦtou[and] the ΚυρίουKyriouLord συνεργοῦντοςsynergountosworked through [them] , καὶkai- τὸνton[His] λόγονlogonword βεβαιοῦντοςbebaiountosconfirming διὰdiaby τῶνtōnthe ἐπακολουθούντωνepakolouthountōnthat accompanied [it] . σημείωνsēmeiōnsigns ἀμὴνamēnTruly
