Ephesians 6

1ΤὰTa- τέκναteknaChildren , ὑπακούετεhypakoueteobey τοῖςtois- γονεῦσινgoneusinparents ὑμῶνhymōnyour ἐνenin ΚυρίῳKyriō[the] Lord , τοῦτοtoutothis γάρgarfor ἐστίestiI have δίκαιονdikaionright .
2ΤίμαTima“ Honor τὸνton- πατέραpaterafather σουsouyour καὶkaiand τὴνtēn- μητέραmēteramother ” ἥτιςhētis(which ἐστὶνestinis ἐντολὴentolēcommandment πρώτηprōtēthe first ἐνenwith ἐπαγγελίᾳepangeliaa promise) ,
3ἽναHina“ that εὖeuwell σοιsoiwith you γένηταιgenētaiit may go καὶkaiand [that] ἔσῃesēyou may have μακροχρόνιοςmakrochroniosa long life ἐπὶepion τῆςtēsthe γῆςgēsearth .”
4ΚαὶKai- οἱhoi- πατέρεςpateresFathers , μὴmē{do} not παροργίζετεparorgizeteprovoke τὰta- τέκναteknachildren {to wrath} ; ὑμῶνhymōnyour ἀλλ’all’but ἐκτρέφετεektrephetebring them up αὐτὰauta. . . ἐνenin παιδείᾳpaideia[the] discipline καὶkaiand νουθεσίᾳnouthesiainstruction ΚυρίουKyriouof [the] Lord .
5ΟἱHoi- δοῦλοιdouloiSlaves , ὑπακούετεhypakoueteobey τοῖςtois[your] κυρίοιςkyrioismasters κατὰkataearthly σάρκαsarka. . . μετὰmetawith φόβουphobourespect καὶkaiand τρόμουtromoufear ἐνen[and] ἁπλότητιhaplotētisincerity τῆςtēsof καρδίαςkardiasheart , ὑμῶνhymōn- ὡςhōsjust as τῷtō[ you would obey ] ΧριστῷChristōChrist .
6μὴmē[And do this] not only κατ’kat’vvv ὀφθαλμοδουλίανophthalmodoulianwhile they are watching , ὡςhōsas ἀνθρωπάρεσκοιanthrōpareskoito please them ἀλλ’all’but ὡςhōsas δοῦλοιdouloiservants of τοῦtou- ΧριστοῦChristouChrist , ποιοῦντεςpoiountesdoing τὸtothe θέλημαthelēmawill τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God ἐκekfrom ψυχῆςpsychēs[your] heart .
7μετ’met’with εὐνοίαςeunoiasgood will , δουλεύοντεςdouleuontesServe ὡςhōsas τῷtōto the ΚυρίῳKyriōLord καὶkaiand οὐκouknot ἀνθρώποιςanthrōpoisto men ,
8εἰδότεςeidotesbecause you know ὅτιhotithat ὁho- ἐάνeanvvv τιtifor whatever ἕκαστοςhekastoseach one ποιήσῃpoiēsēhe does , ἀγαθόνagathongood τοῦτοtouto- κομιεῖταιkomieitaiwill reward παρὰpara- τοῦtou- ΚυρίουKyriou[the] Lord εἴτεeitewhether δοῦλοςdoulos[he is] slave εἴτεeiteor ἐλεύθεροςeleutherosfree .
9ΚαὶKaiAnd οἱhoi- κύριοιkyrioimasters , τὰtathe same αὐτὰauta. . . ποιεῖτεpoieitedo πρὸςprosfor αὐτούςautous[your slaves] . ἀνιέντεςanientesGive up τὴνtēn[your] ἀπειλήνapeilēnuse of threats , εἰδότεςeidotesbecause you know ὅτιhotithat καὶkai[He who is] both ὑμῶνhymōnyours αὐτῶνautōntheir ὁho- ΚύριόςKyriosMaster ἐστινestinis ἐνenin οὐρανοῖςouranoisheaven , καὶkaiand προσωποληψίαprosopolepsiafavoritism οὐκoukno ἐστίestiI have παρ’par’with αὐτῷautōHim .
10τῷtō- λοιπῶνloipōnrest ? ἀδελφοὶadelphoibrothers μουmoumy ἐνδυναμοῦσθεendynamousthebe strong ἐνenin ΚυρίῳKyriō[the] Lord καὶkaiand ἐνenin τῷtō- κράτειkrateimighty τῆςtēsvvv ἰσχύοςischyospower . αὐτοῦautouHis
11ἐνδύσασθεendysasthePut on τὴνtēnthe πανοπλίανpanoplianfull armor τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God , πρὸςprosso that τὸto- δύνασθαιdynasthaican ὑμᾶςhymasyou στῆναιstēnaimake your stand πρὸςprosagainst τὰςtasthe μεθοδείαςmethodeiasschemes . τοῦtou- διαβόλουdiaboloudevil’s
12ὅτιhotiFor οὐκouknot ἔστινestinis ἡμῖνhēminour ἡhē- πάληpalēstruggle πρὸςprosagainst αἷμαhaimablood , καὶkaiand σάρκαsarkaflesh ἀλλὰallabut πρὸςprosagainst τὰςtasthe ἀρχάςarchasrulers , πρὸςprosagainst τὰςtasthe ἐξουσίαςexousiasauthorities , πρὸςprosagainst τοὺςtousthe κοσμοκράτοραςkosmokratoraspowers τοῦtouof σκότουςskotousdarkness , τοῦtouof αἰῶνοςaiōnosages past , τούτουtoutouthis {world’s} πρὸςpros[and] against τὰtathe πνευματικὰpneumatikaspiritual [forces] τῆςtēs- πονηρίαςponēriasof evil ἐνenin τοῖςtoisthe ἐπουρανίοιςepouranioisheavenly realms .
13ΔιὰDiaTherefore τοῦτοtouto- ἀναλάβετεanalabetetake up τὴνtēnthe πανοπλίανpanoplianfull armor τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God , ἵναhinaso that δυνηθῆτεdynēthēteyou will be able ἀντιστῆναιantistēnaito stand your ground , ἐνenwhen τῇtēthe ἡμέρᾳhēmeraday τῇtē- πονηρᾷponēraof evil {comes} , καὶkaiand ἅπανταhapantaeverything , κατεργασάμενοιkatergasamenoihaving done στῆναιstēnaito stand .
14στῆτεstēteStand firm οὖνounthen , περιζωσάμενοιperizōsamenoibuckled around τὴνtēn- ὀσφὺνosphynwaist , ὑμῶνhymōnyour ἐνenwith ἀληθείᾳalētheia{the belt of} truth καὶkai[with] ἐνδυσάμενοιendysamenoiarrayed , τὸνtonthe θώρακαthōrakabreastplate τῆςtēs- δικαιοσύνηςdikaiosynēsof righteousness
15καὶkaiand ὑποδησάμενοιhypodēsamenoifitted τοὺςtous[with your] πόδαςpodasfeet ἐνenwith ἑτοιμασίᾳhetoimasia[the] readiness τοῦtouof the εὐαγγελίουeuangeliougospel τῆςtēs- εἰρήνηςeirēnēsof peace .
16ἐνenIn addition to πᾶσινpasinall [this] , ἀναλαβόντεςanalabontestake up τὸνtonthe θυρεὸνthyreonshield τῆςtēs- πίστεωςpisteōsof faith , ἐνenwith ᾧhōwhich δυνήσεσθεdynēsestheyou can πάνταpantaall τὰtathe βέληbelēarrows τοῦtouof the πονηροῦponērouevil one . τὰta- πεπυρωμέναpepyrōmenaflaming σβέσαιsbesaiextinguish
17καὶkaiAnd τὴνtēnthe περικεφαλαίανperikephalaianhelmet τοῦtou- σωτηρίουsōtēriouof salvation δέξασθεdexasthetake καὶkaiAnd τὴνtēnthe μάχαιρανmachairansword τοῦtouof the ΠνεύματοςPneumatosSpirit , ὅhowhich ἐστίestiI have ῥῆμαrhēma[the] word ΘεοῦTheouof God .
18διὰdiawith πάσηςpasēsevery kind of προσευχῆςproseuchēsprayer καὶkaiand δεήσεωςdeēseōspetition . προσευχόμενοιproseuchomenoiPray ἐνenin παντὶpantiall καιρῷkairōtimes , ἐνenat ΠνεύματιPneumati[the] Spirit καὶkaiand εἰςeisTo αὐτὸautothis [end] , τοῦτοtoutopurpose , ἀγρυπνοῦντεςagrypnountesstay alert ἐνenwith πάσῃpasēall προσκαρτερήσειproskarterēseiperseverance καὶkai- δεήσειdeēseiin your prayers περὶperifor πάντωνpantōnall τῶνtōnthe ἁγίωνhagiōnsaints .
19καὶkai[Pray] also ὑπὲρhyperfor ἐμοῦemoume , ἵναhinathat μοιmoime δοθῇdothēmay be given λόγοςlogoswords ἐνenvvv ἀνοίξειanoixeiI open τοῦtou- στόματόςstomatosmouth , μουmoumy ἐνenwhenever παρρησίᾳparrēsia[so that I will] boldly γνωρίσαιgnōrisaimake known τὸtothe μυστήριονmystērionmystery τοῦtouof the εὐαγγελίουeuangeliougospel ,
20ὑπὲρhyperfor οὗhouwhich πρεσβεύωpresbeuōI am an ambassador ἐνenin ἁλύσειhalyseichains . ἵναhina[Pray] that ἐνen. . . αὐτῷautō. . . , παρρησιάσωμαιparrēsiasōmaiI may proclaim it fearlessly ὡςhōsas δεῖdeishould μεmeI λαλῆσαιlalēsai- .
21ἵναhina[Pray] that δὲde- εἰδῆτεeidētemay know καὶkaialso ὑμεῖςhymeisyou τὰta- κατ’kat’about ἐμέememe τίti[and] what πράσσωprassōI am doing . πάνταpantaeverything , ὑμῖνhyminyou γνωρίσειgnōriseiwill tell ΤυχικὸςTychikosTychicus , ὁhothe ἀγαπητὸςagapētosbeloved ἀδελφὸςadelphosbrother καὶkaiand πιστὸςpistosfaithful διάκονοςdiakonosservant ἐνenin ΚυρίῳKyriō[the] Lord ,
22ὃνhon[him] ἔπεμψαepempsaI have sent πρὸςprosto ὑμᾶςhymasyou εἰςeisfor αὐτὸautothis very τοῦτοtoutopurpose , ἵναhinathat γνῶτεgnōteyou may know τὰta- περὶperiabout ἡμῶνhēmōnus , καὶkaiand [that] παρακαλέσῃparakalesēhe may encourage τὰςtas- καρδίαςkardiashearts . ὑμῶνhymōnyour
23ΕἰρήνηEirēnēPeace τοῖςtoisto the ἀδελφοῖςadelphoisbrothers καὶkaiand ἀγάπηagapēlove μετὰmetawith πίστεωςpisteōsfaith ἀπὸapofrom ΘεοῦTheouGod ΠατρὸςPatros[the] Father καὶkaiand ΚυρίουKyriou[the] Lord ἸησοῦIēsouJesus ΧριστοῦChristouChrist .
24ἩHē- χάριςcharisGrace μετὰmetato πάντωνpantōnall τῶνtōnwho ἀγαπώντωνagapōntōnlove τῶνtōnwho ΚύριονKyrionLord ἡμῶνhēmōnour ἸησοῦνIēsounJesus ΧριστὸνChristonChrist ἐνenwith ἀφθαρσίᾳaphtharsiaan undying [love] . ἀμὴνamēnTruly
