Opening a word popover pauses audio so you can study without distraction.

What the Popover Shows

Popover Buttons

ActionHowWhat It Does
Play word Tap the speaker icon Plays the word once at normal speed
Loop word Long-press the speaker icon (hold ½ second) Loops the word with gradually decreasing speed: 1x → 0.7x → 0.5x → 0.4x, with a brief pause between each repetition. Tap the stop icon to end the loop
Play from here Tap “Play from here” Seeks the main audio to this word’s position and plays the chapter/verse from that point

Closing the Popover

Long Press on All Devices

Long press works the same everywhere: hold the speaker icon for about half a second to start looping. On touch devices, moving your finger more than a small distance cancels the long press (so scrolling won’t accidentally trigger it). On desktop, long-click works the same way. On keyboard, hold Enter or Space while the speaker button is focused.
