1ΚαὶKaiThen εἶδονeidonI saw ἄγγελονangelonan angel καταβαίνονταkatabainontacoming down ἐκekfrom τοῦtou- οὐρανοῦouranouheaven ἔχονταechontaholding τὴνtēn- κλεῖνkleinkey τῆςtēsto the ἀβύσσουabyssouAbyss , καὶkai- ἅλυσινhalysinchain . μεγάληνmegalēna great ἐπὶepiin τὴνtēn- χεῖραcheirahand αὐτοῦautouhis
2καὶkai- ἐκράτησεekratesebe arrested τὸνtonthe δράκονταdrakontadragon , τὸνtonthe ὄφινophina snake τὸνtonthe ἀρχαίωνarchaiōnold ὅςhoswho ἐστίestiI have ΔιάβολοςDiabolos[the] devil καὶkaiand HO- ΣατανᾶςSatanasSatan , HO- πλανῶνplanōnhad deceived οἰκουμένηνoikoumenēnempire . καὶkaiAnd ἔδησενedēsenbound αὐτὸνautonhim χίλιαchiliafor a thousand ἔτηetēyears .
3καὶkaiAnd ἔβαλενebalenhe threw αὐτὸνautonhim εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe ἄβυσσονabyssonAbyss , καὶkai- ἔκλεισεekleiseshut [it] , καὶkai- ἐσφράγισεesphragisesealed [it] ἐπάνωepanōover αὐτοῦautouhim , ἵναhinaso that μὴvvv πλανᾷplanashe misleads ἔτιeti. . . τὰtathe ἔθνηethnēnations ἄχριachriuntil τελεσθῇtelesthēwere complete . τὰtathe χίλιαchiliathousand ἔτηetēyears μετὰmetaAfter that ταῦταtauta- , δεῖdeimust αὐτὸνautonhe λυθῆναιlythēnaibe released μικρὸνmikronfor a brief χρόνονchrononperiod of time .
4‹ΚαὶKaiThen εἶδονeidonI saw θρόνουςthronous[the] thrones , καὶkaiand ἐκάθισανekathisanthose seated ἐπ’ep’on αὐτούςautousthem καὶkai- κρίμαkrimaauthority to judge . ἐδόθηedothēhad been given αὐτοῖςautois- καὶkaiAnd [I saw] τὰςtasthe ψυχὰςpsychassouls τῶνtōnof those who πεπελεκισμένωνpepelekismenōnhad been beheaded διὰdiafor τὴνtēn[their] μαρτυρίανmartyriantestimony ἸησοῦIēsouof Jesus καὶkaiand διὰdiafor τὸνtonthe λόγονlogonword τοῦtou- θεοῦtheouof God , καὶkaiand οἵτινεςhoitinesthose who οὐouvvv προσεκύνησανprosekynēsanhad not worshiped τὸtothe θηρίονthērionbeast οὔτεoutevvv τὴνtēn- εἰκόναeikonaimage , αὐτοῦautouits καὶkaiand οὐκoukvvv ἔλαβονelabonhad not received τὸto[its] χάραγμαcharagmamark ἐπὶepion τὸto[their] μέτωπονmetōponforeheads αὐτῶνautōn- καὶkai[or] ἐπὶepi- τὴνtēn- χεῖραcheirahands . αὐτῶνautōn- καὶkai[or] ἔζησανezēsanthey came to life καὶkaiand ἐβασίλευσανebasileusanreigned μετὰmetawith τοῦtou- χριστοῦchristouChrist χίλιαchiliafor a thousand ἔτη›etēyears .
5καὶkaiand ΟἱHoiThe λοιποὶloipoirest τῶνtōnof the νεκρῶνnekrōndead οὐκouk{did} not ἔζησανezēsancome back to life ἕωςheōsuntil τελεσθῇtelesthēwere complete . τὰtathe χίλιαchiliathousand ἔτηetēyears αὕτηhautēThis [is] the ἀνάστασιςanastasisresurrection . - πρώτηprōtēfirst
6μακάριοςmakariosBlessed καὶkaiand ἅγιοςhagiosholy [are] hothose who ἔχωνechōnshare μέροςmeros. . . ἐνenin τῇthe ἀναστάσειanastaseiresurrection ! τῇ- πρώτῃprōtēfirst ἐπὶepiover τούτωνtoutōnthem , ho- δεύτεροςdeuteros[The] second θάνατοςthanatosdeath οὐκoukno ἔχειecheihas ἐξουσίανexousianpower ἀλλ’all’but ἔσονταιesontaithey will be ἱερεῖςhiereispriests ΘεοῦTheouof God καὶkaiand τοῦtou- ΧριστοῦChristouof Christ , καὶkaiand βασιλεύσουσιbasileusousireign μετ’met’with αὐτοῦautouHim χίλιαchiliathousand ἔτηetēyears .
7ΚαὶKai- ὅτανhotanWhen τελεσθῇtelesthēare complete , τὰtathe χίλιαchiliathousand ἔτηetēyears λυθήσεταιlythēsetaiwill be released ho- ΣατανᾶςSatanasSatan ἐκekfrom τῆςtēs- φυλακῆςphylakēsprison , αὐτοῦautouhis
8καὶkaiand ἐξελεύσεταιexeleusetaiwill go out πλανῆσαιplanēsaito deceive τὰtathe ἔθνηethnēnations τὰta- ἐνenin ταῖςtaisthe τέσσαρσιtessarsiby [its] four γωνίαιςgōniaiscorners τῆςtēsof the γῆςgēsearth — τὸνton- ΓὼγGōgGog καὶkaiand ΜαγώγMagōgMagog — συναγαγεῖνsynagageinto assemble them αὐτοὺςautous- εἰςeisfor τὸνton- πόλεμονpolemonbattle . ὧνhōn[Their] ho- ἀριθμὸςarithmosnumber αὐτῶνautōn- ὡςhōs[is] like the ἄμμοςammossand τῆςtēsof the θαλάσσηςthalassēsseashore .
9ΚαὶKaiAnd ἀνέβησανanebēsanthey marched across ἐπὶepi. . . τὸtothe πλάτοςplatosbroad expanse τῆςtēsof the γῆςgēsearth καὶkaiand ἐκύκλευσανekykleusansurrounded τὴνtēnthe παρεμβολὴνparembolēncamp τῶνtōnof the ἁγίωνhagiōnsaints καὶkaiand τὴνtēnthe πόλινpolincity . τὴνtēn- ἠγαπημένηνēgapēmenēnbeloved καὶkaiBut κατέβηkatebēcame down πῦρpyrfire ἐκekfrom τοῦtou- οὐρανοῦouranouheaven ἀπὸapofrom τοῦtou- ΘεοῦTheouof God καὶkaiand κατέφαγενkatephagenconsumed αὐτούςautousthem .
10καὶkaiAnd hothe διάβολοςdiabolosdevil howho πλανῶνplanōnhad deceived αὐτοὺςautousthem ἐβλήθηeblēthēwas thrown εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe λίμνηνlimnēnlake τοῦtou- πυρὸςpyrosof fire καὶkaiand τοῦtou- θείουtheiousulfur , ὅπουhopouinto which καὶkaiand τὸtothe θηρίονthērionbeast καὶkaiand hothe ψευδοπροφήτηςpseudoprophētēsfalse prophet καὶkai[had already been thrown] . βασανισθήσονταιbasanisthēsontaithey will be tormented ἡμέραςhēmerasday καὶkaiand νυκτὸςnyktosnight εἰςeisforever τοὺςtous. . . αἰῶναςaiōnas. . . τῶνtōn[and] αἰώνωνaiōnōnever .
11ΚαὶKaiThen εἶδονeidonI saw θρόνονthrononthrone μέγανmegana great λευκὸνleukonwhite καὶkaiand τὸνtonthe [One] καθήμενονkathēmenonseated ἐπ’ep’on αὐτῷautōHe οὗhou[His] ἀπὸapofrom προσώπουprosōpoupresence , ἔφυγενephygenfled - γῆEarth καὶkaiand ho- οὐρανόςouranosheaven καὶkaiand τόποςtoposplace οὐχouchno εὑρέθηheurethēwas found αὐτοῖςautoisfor them .
12καὶkaiAnd εἶδονeidonI saw τοὺςtousthe νεκρούςnekrousdead , τοὺςtous- μεγάλουςmegalousgreat καὶkaiand τοὺςtous- μικρούςmikroussmall , ἑστῶταςhestōtasstanding ἐνώπιονenōpionbefore τοῦtouthe θρόνουthronouthrone . καὶkaiAnd βιβλίαbibliabooks , ἠνοίχθησανēnoichthēsanthere were open καὶkaiAnd ἄλλοalloone of βιβλίονbiblion[them] ἠνοίχθηēnoichthē[was] ho- ἐστίestiI have τῆςtēsthe [Book] ζωῆςzōēsof Life . καὶkaiAnd ἐκρίθησανekrithēsanwere judged οἱhoithe νεκροὶnekroidead ἐκekas τῶνtōn- γεγραμμένωνgegrammenōnrecorded ἐνenin τοῖςtoisthe βιβλίοιςbiblioisbooks . κατὰkataaccording to τὰta- ἔργαergadeeds , αὐτῶνautōntheir
13καὶkaiAnd ἔδωκενedōkengave up The θάλασσαthalassasea τοὺςtous- νεκροὺςnekrousdead , τοὺςtousvvv ἐνenvvv αὐτῇautēits καὶkaiand ho- θάνατοςthanatosDeath καὶkaiand ho- ᾅδηςhadēsHades ἔδωκανedōkangave up τοὺςtous[their] νεκροὺςnekrousdead τοὺςtous. . . ἐνen. . . αὐτοῖςautois. . . , καὶkaiand ἐκρίθησανekrithēsanwas judged ἕκαστοςhekastoseach [one] κατὰkataaccording to τὰta- ἔργαergadeeds . αὐτῶνautōnhis
14ΚαὶKaiThen ho- θάνατοςthanatosDeath καὶkaiand ho- ᾅδηςhadēsHades ἐβλήθησανeblēthēsanwere thrown εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe λίμνηνlimnēnlake τοῦtou- πυρόςpyrosof fire . οὗτοςhoutosThis hothe θάνατοςthanatosdeath — ho- δεύτερόςdeuterossecond ἐστινestinis
15καὶkaiAnd εἴeiif τιςtisanyone οὐχouch. . . εὑρέθηheurethēwas found ἐνenin τῇthe βίβλῳbiblōBook τῆςtēs- ζωῆςzōēsof Life , γεγραμμένοςgegrammenos[whose name] was not written ἐβλήθηeblēthēhe was thrown εἰςeisinto τὴνtēnthe λίμνηνlimnēnlake τοῦtou- πυρόςpyrosof fire .
