בְּרֵאשִׁיתבְּרֵאשִׁיתבראשיתbə·rê·šîṯIn the beginning פֶּרֶקפֶּרֶקפרקpeɾekchapter דָּלֶתדָּלֶתדלתdalɛtfour
17וַיֵּ֤דַעוַיֵּדַעוידעway·yê·ḏa‘had relations with קַ֙יִן֙קַיִןקיןqa·yinAnd Cain אֶת־אֶת־את’eṯ-- אִשְׁתּ֔וֹאִשְׁתּוֹאשתו’iš·tōwhis wife , וַתַּ֖הַרוַתַּהַרותהרwat·ta·harand she conceived וַתֵּ֣לֶדוַתֵּלֶדותלדwat·tê·leḏand gave birth to אֶת־אֶת־את’eṯ-- חֲנ֑וֹךְחֲנוֹךְחנוךḥă·nō·wḵEnoch . וַֽיְהִי֙וַֽיְהִיויהיway·hîThen בֹּ֣נֶהבֹּנֶהבנהbō·neh[Cain] built עִ֔ירעִירעיר‘îra city וַיִּקְרָא֙וַיִּקְרָאויקראway·yiq·rāand named שֵׁ֣םשֵׁםשםšêm. . . הָעִ֔ירהָעִירהעירhā·‘îr[it] כְּשֵׁ֖םכְּשֵׁםכשםkə·šêmafter בְּנ֥וֹבְּנוֹבנוbə·nōwhis son חֲנֽוֹךְ׃חֲנֽוֹךְ׃חנוךḥă·nō·wḵEnoch .
