אֶסְתֵראֶסְתֵראסתר’es·têrEsther פֶּרֶקפֶּרֶקפרקpeɾekchapter חֵיתחֵיתחיתχeteight
11אֲשֶׁר֩אֲשֶׁראשר’ă·šerBy these letters נָתַ֨ןנָתַןנתןnā·ṯanpermitted הַמֶּ֜לֶךְהַמֶּלֶךְהמלךham·me·leḵthe king לַיְּהוּדִ֣ים׀לַיְּהוּדִים׀ליהודיםlay·yə·hū·ḏîmthe Jews אֲשֶׁ֣ראֲשֶׁראשר’ă·šer- בְּכָל־בְּכָל־בכלbə·ḵālin each עִיר־עִיר־עיר‘îr-and every city וָעִ֗ירוָעִירועירwā·‘îr. . . לְהִקָּהֵל֮לְהִקָּהֵללהקהלlə·hiq·qā·hêlthe right to assemble וְלַעֲמֹ֣דוְלַעֲמֹדולעמדwə·la·‘ă·mōḏ. . . עַל־עַל־על‘al-and defend נַפְשָׁם֒נַפְשָׁםנפשםnap̄·šāmthemselves , לְהַשְׁמִיד֩לְהַשְׁמִידלהשמידlə·haš·mîḏto destroy , וְלַהֲרֹ֨גוְלַהֲרֹגולהרגwə·la·hă·rōḡkill , וּלְאַבֵּ֜דוּלְאַבֵּדולאבדū·lə·’ab·bêḏand annihilate אֶת־אֶת־את’eṯ-- כָּל־כָּל־כלkāl-all חֵ֨ילחֵילחילḥêlthe forces עַ֧םעַםעם‘amof any people וּמְדִינָ֛הוּמְדִינָהומדינהū·mə·ḏî·nāhor province הַצָּרִ֥יםהַצָּרִיםהצריםhaṣ·ṣā·rîmhostile to them , אֹתָ֖םאֹתָםאתם’ō·ṯām- טַ֣ףטַףטףṭap̄and children , וְנָשִׁ֑יםוְנָשִׁיםונשיםwə·nā·šîmincluding women וּשְׁלָלָ֖םוּשְׁלָלָםושללםū·šə·lā·lāmand to plunder לָבֽוֹז׃לָבֽוֹז׃לבוזlā·ḇō·wztheir possessions .
