אֶסְתֵראֶסְתֵראסתר’es·têrEsther פֶּרֶקפֶּרֶקפרקpeɾekchapter דָּלֶתדָּלֶתדלתdalɛtfour
8וְאֶת־וְאֶת־ואתwə·’eṯ-- פַּתְשֶׁ֣גֶןפַּתְשֶׁגֶןפתשגןpaṯ·še·ḡena copy כְּתָֽב־כְּתָֽב־כתבkə·ṯāḇ-of the written הַ֠דָּתהַדָּתהדתhad·dāṯdecree אֲשֶׁר־אֲשֶׁר־אשר’ă·šer-- נִתַּ֨ןנִתַּןנתןnit·tanMordecai also gave [Hathach] בְּשׁוּשָׁ֤ןבְּשׁוּשָׁןבשושןbə·šū·šānin Susa לְהַשְׁמִידָם֙לְהַשְׁמִידָםלהשמידםlə·haš·mî·ḏāmfor the destruction [of the Jews] , נָ֣תַןנָתַןנתןnā·ṯanissued ל֔וֹלוֹלוlōw לְהַרְא֥וֹתלְהַרְאוֹתלהראותlə·har·’ō·wṯto show אֶת־אֶת־את’eṯ-to אֶסְתֵּ֖ראֶסְתֵּראסתר’es·têrEsther וּלְהַגִּ֣ידוּלְהַגִּידולהגידū·lə·hag·gîḏand explain לָ֑הּלָהּלהlāh, וּלְצַוּ֣וֹתוּלְצַוּוֹתולצוותū·lə·ṣaw·wō·wṯurging עָלֶ֗יהָעָלֶיהָעליה‘ā·le·hāher לָב֨וֹאלָבוֹאלבואlā·ḇō·wto approach אֶל־אֶל־אל’el-. . . הַמֶּ֧לֶךְהַמֶּלֶךְהמלךham·me·leḵthe king , לְהִֽתְחַנֶּן־לְהִֽתְחַנֶּן־להתחנןlə·hiṯ·ḥan·nen-implore his favor ל֛וֹלוֹלוlōw, וּלְבַקֵּ֥שׁוּלְבַקֵּשׁולבקשū·lə·ḇaq·qêšand plead מִלְּפָנָ֖יומִלְּפָנָיומלפניוmil·lə·p̄ā·nāwbefore him עַל־עַל־על‘al-for עַמָּֽהּ׃עַמָּֽהּ׃עמה‘am·māhher people .
