Ecclesiastes 2:26
קֹהֶלֶתקֹהֶלֶתקהלתqō·he·leṯof the Teacher , פֶּרֶקפֶּרֶקפרקpeɾekchapter בֵּיתבֵּיתביתbɛttwo
26כִּ֤יכִּיכיkîTo לְאָדָם֙לְאָדָםלאדםlə·’ā·ḏāmthe man שֶׁטּ֣וֹבשֶׁטּוֹבשטובšeṭ·ṭō·wḇwho is pleasing לְפָנָ֔יולְפָנָיולפניוlə·p̄ā·nāwin His sight , נָתַ֛ןנָתַןנתןnā·ṯanHe gives חָכְמָ֥החָכְמָהחכמהḥāḵ·māhwisdom וְדַ֖עַתוְדַעַתודעתwə·ḏa·‘aṯand knowledge וְשִׂמְחָ֑הוְשִׂמְחָהושמחהwə·śim·ḥāhand joy , וְלַחוֹטֶא֩וְלַחוֹטֶאולחוטאwə·la·ḥō·w·ṭebut to the sinner נָתַ֨ןנָתַןנתןnā·ṯanHe assigns עִנְיָ֜ןעִנְיָןענין‘in·yānthe task לֶאֱס֣וֹףלֶאֱסוֹףלאסוףle·’ĕ·sō·wp̄of gathering וְלִכְנ֗וֹסוְלִכְנוֹסולכנוסwə·liḵ·nō·wsand accumulating [that which] לָתֵת֙לָתֵתלתתlā·ṯêṯhe will hand over לְטוֹב֙לְטוֹבלטובlə·ṭō·wḇto one who pleases לִפְנֵ֣ילִפְנֵילפניlip̄·nê. . . הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔יםהָֽאֱלֹהִיםהאלהיםhā·’ĕ·lō·hîmGod . גַּם־גַּם־גםgam-too זֶ֥הזֶהזהzehThis הֶ֖בֶלהֶבֶלהבלhe·ḇelis futile וּרְע֥וּתוּרְעוּתורעותū·rə·‘ūṯand a pursuit רֽוּחַ׃רֽוּחַ׃רוחrū·aḥof the wind .
