Ecclesiastes 2:16
קֹהֶלֶתקֹהֶלֶתקהלתqō·he·leṯof the Teacher , פֶּרֶקפֶּרֶקפרקpeɾekchapter בֵּיתבֵּיתביתbɛttwo
16כִּי֩כִּיכיkîFor אֵ֨יןאֵיןאין’ênthere is no זִכְר֧וֹןזִכְרוֹןזכרוןziḵ·rō·wnremembrance לֶחָכָ֛םלֶחָכָםלחכםle·ḥā·ḵāmof the wise , עִֽם־עִֽם־עם‘im-just as with הַכְּסִ֖ילהַכְּסִילהכסילhak·kə·sîlthe fool , לְעוֹלָ֑םלְעוֹלָםלעולםlə·‘ō·w·lāmlasting בְּשֶׁכְּבָ֞רבְּשֶׁכְּבָרבשכברbə·šek·kə·ḇārseeing that הַיָּמִ֤יםהַיָּמִיםהימיםhay·yā·mîmin the days הַבָּאִים֙הַבָּאִיםהבאיםhab·bā·’îmto come . הַכֹּ֣להַכֹּלהכלhak·kōlboth נִשְׁכָּ֔חנִשְׁכָּחנשכחniš·kāḥwill be forgotten וְאֵ֛יךְוְאֵיךְואיךwə·’êḵAlas , יָמ֥וּתיָמוּתימותyā·mūṯwill die הֶחָכָ֖םהֶחָכָםהחכםhe·ḥā·ḵāmthe wise man עִֽם־עִֽם־עם‘im-just like הַכְּסִֽיל׃הַכְּסִֽיל׃הכסילhak·kə·sîlthe fool !
