שְׁמוּאֵלשְׁמוּאֵלשמואלšə·mū·’êlSamuel אָלֶףאָלֶףאלףʔalefone פֶּרֶקפֶּרֶקפרקpeɾekchapter יוֹדיוֹדיודjʊdten דָּלֶתדָּלֶתדלתdalɛtfour
41וַיֹּ֣אמֶרוַיֹּאמֶרויאמרway·yō·mersaid שָׁא֗וּלשָׁאוּלשאולšā·’ūlSo Saul אֶל־אֶל־אל’el-to יְהוָ֛היְהוָהיהוהYah·wehthe LORD , אֱלֹהֵ֥יאֱלֹהֵיאלהי’ĕ·lō·hêthe God יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ליִשְׂרָאֵלישראלyiś·rā·’êlof Israel , הָ֣בָההָבָההבהhā·ḇāh“ [Why have You not answered Your servant this day? If the fault is with me or my son Jonathan, respond with Urim; but if the fault is with the men of Israel,] respond תָמִ֑יםתָמִיםתמיםṯā·mîmwith Thummim .” וַיִּלָּכֵ֧דוַיִּלָּכֵדוילכדway·yil·lā·ḵêḏwere selected , יוֹנָתָ֛ןיוֹנָתָןיונתןyō·w·nā·ṯānAnd Jonathan וְשָׁא֖וּלוְשָׁאוּלושאולwə·šā·’ūland Saul וְהָעָ֥םוְהָעָםוהעםwə·hā·‘āmbut the people יָצָֽאוּ׃יָצָֽאוּ׃יצאוyā·ṣā·’ūwere cleared of the charge .
